A related question - should I hear a sound when being locked? I see indication of that on RWR, my volume there is max (clockwise), but no sound...

I disabled the menus and now I cannot open them at all. Saying 'options' is recognized, but does nothing. 'bogey dope' in Intercept mission is recognized, but does nothing. Updating Vaicom to version .24 did nothing. VA is the latest version 1.8.7. Other modules work fine for me...

My Voice Attack is the latest 1.8.7. It has an option to check for updates on startup. My Vaicom never asked me if I want to update. I just updated it manually using the zip file. Sadly, it did not resolve my problems with the F-5E module ((

I don't see an option to update or autoupdate from within Vaicom. Are you sure? Where is it in config?

Yes, that was my point. I downloaded the installer from that site and ran it. It showed version 23 during the install and my Viacom became version 23 after the install. Not 24!

I just started flying the F5 module yesterday. I finally learned to keep holding uncage button while pressing weapon release.

So, 4 years on and missiles still don't fly to targets? I failed to hit anything so far....

Hello @Hollywood_315! I have VAICOM Pro and it works fine with all modules except F-5. I can talk to ground crew, but no-one once airborne. Also, having VAICOM running disables Nosewheel steering button to act as a comms menu. '\' is also disabled, but I can use RAlt-\ to bring it up. If VA/VAICOM is not running, Nosewheel steering does bring up the menu. My phrases are recognized, but not passed to DCS. See the screen below to identify the problem. I have Easy Communication disabled.

Whoa, years and years passed and such a vital stuff as RWR has still not been finished? I also cannot power RWR with a keybind, but only with a mouse click. It turns on and off again if I use keyboard...

Hi all! Just started to learn this module and am having a weird problem. My nosewheel button assignment (whatever keyboard or joystick button) opens and closes Comms menu, while the default comms menu '/' and UHF Mike 'RAlt+/' buttons do nothing. Only happens in this module. Uninstalling all mods and repairing OB did not help. Recorded track shows nothing. Any ideas? Update: this only happens in the air. On the ground all works as expected.

With G2 my only problem when looking down is poor tracking. Bind everything important to HOTAS to avoid looking down.

@Charly_OwlHello Chuck! I think I have found either a discrepancy in your guide or a bug in DCS. On page 215 you show an STT lock with PRF set at MED on right screen. Whatever I try my PRF always defaults to HI in this mode and does not change. Do you know how it should be IRL? I think MED would reduce the chance of the target breaking the lock by notching. What do you think?

@BIGNEWY I suggest this temporary fix: if the server tells the client's aircraft to explode or receive damage, but the client does not have any missile/projectile nearby to cause such damage, the version of events on the client PC should prevail (i.e. missile or bullet would miss).

@BIGNEWYLeft is server's, right is my tacview. About 30 players on a dedicated server, ping 30ms. Happens all the time to everyone. What is causing this? How does ED plans to fix it? WHEN? Hi! I did the update yesterday, but my SERVAL.lua is the same. And how could it be that changelog does not show all the changes? Or you mean your M2000 guide, not DCS? Edit: Yes, I see you updated the guide. Sad that 2-letter IDs are not possible ))

Hi everyone! Chuck's guide, page 200 shows RWR symbols for M2000 as 'M2' and for Mig-29 as '29'. Are two-symbol codes allowed? Does anyone have a SERVAL.lua with such codes? They look the same as Hornet's, which would be awesome. Also, any way to edit PANIC dispense, as it is not in SPIRALE.lua? Thanks!!!

Flew it in VR, still dizzy 24 hours later. Landing was hard, fighting impossible...

I just did all that and see the same. Cockpit goes from too bright to too dark, the sun appears to be shining through the nosecone and/or from under the pilot's seat. Same with global cockpit illumination on or off. To me it is a weird and unacceptable experience. With shadows ON the cockpit looks fine. I attached a quick track if you would like to reproduce. Does F18 cockpit look ok for you in VR without shadows? For me it looks really bad in G2...
