Well we are getting the C hornet, while the F-15E is multi-seat, so even though their missions are similar, I'd still be getting both because flying solo, and flying with a friend will be two different reasons to play :)

I think the synthetic runway is fine as it is. Perhaps in the future (and even on different maps) it will be fixed.

Very cool! I cannot wait to land at night :) Can the autopilot also land using ILS?

I'd be buying 3 F-15E's myself alone, one for me to fly, and the other two for my WSO / RIO 's :) The WSO / RIO role is a great thing for DCS because it would allow people who don't have a TrackIR and a HOTAS/Pedals and all of that to enjoy DCS as well.

Of course, but I don't believe there is a way to sneak up on AI enemies in DCS currently.

If you can sell them for $59.99 and have them made automatically, you will do very well :) I'd buy about 3 grips and a set of throttle grips myself! :)

Any kind of SEAD capability? or is the Viggen mostly designed for anti-ship?

Does the viggen have radar guided air to air missiles? (like an AMRAAM, AIM-7, R77, R27ER etc) And if it has a radar, can it be used to scan the ground?

Ahh yes, I forgot that they alrady have an F-15E mudhen from FSX. In that case, I think the F-15E is a perfect choice. It makes sense to work with an aircraft they are already familiar with, and have much of the art assets.

Stealth? Currently in DCS, it seems to me that as soon as you are within range of a say a tank in the Ka-50, you immediately get painted by the laser, and soon after you are being fired at with missiles, cannons or guns - and not usually just one tank, but all of them nearby! Given that neither the Gazelle or Bo-PAH has no armour, will it be possible to remain hidden behind trees, buildings, hills so that enemies are not aware you are there (surely you cannot hear a helicopter from 3km away when you are in a tank?). I would absolutely love to sneak up on a unit of tanks or trucks and get the first shot in, then hide under the trees again and attack from another side whilst they are looking at my original position (assuming they have figured out where I fired from, perhaps they don't even know). You could even have an AI or human wingman fire from an opposite position to create confusion for the tanks, so that perhaps only one out of them all will see you at first.

Any reasonably modern (80s+),true multi role capable aircraft, and preferably two seater. Mirage D/N Rafale F-16 F-15E Strike Eagle F-4N Su-24M Su-34 and similar. More helicopters are always fun now that DCS 2.0 is out and the ground is starting to look nice (and will look even nicer once that pretty thick grass is finished). Eurocopter EC635 Eurocopter Tiger AH-64A/D Mi-24 Hind AH-6 AH1-1W Mi-28 Havoc And of course Ural 375 with clickable cockpit! :)

The cougar is a good option, but it's so out of date now. I'm waiting for http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104154 these guys to get someone up and running. It's looking very promising to me.

That's the nice thing about a simulator, no maintenance required :)

The detail is amazing. I'm just enjoying flying around and sight seeing in the Huey - instead of blowing everything up as I usually would :)
