  4. This is not a problem anymore... Check the script I made C4ISR and CAS... Lasing, smoke, ilkum, report of enemy units, ammount and type... Everything on demand through F10. The problem i see in most missions is that there are a storyline. So.... It is not a simulation. I use plenty of teleporttozone... That makes you be always tense... You dont know whetr enemies are. I put random enemy interception. You never know when enemy aircrafta are coming... Or if they are coming at all. And most important. The mission needs a bigger goal. For example.. That troops needs to get there and you give a sandbox. Missions flown will be similar but never the same. Some times the AAA is between buildings, and sometimes they are more in the open... Sometimes there are ground reinforces, sometimes not.

FIX 1.01. * Now, there is a message when lasing. * Bug fixed when you dont put all lasing groups in the ME FIX 1.02. * Now, previous start Lasing, you can define the laser code from 1658, 1668,1678 and 1688 during game. So... if you have a flght of two or three M2000 or F5... you can drop the bomb at once!!! but dont forget to configure the bombs before start!!!!!! (F5 can put the laser code from ramp, M2000 from ME)

  11. C4ISR and CAS. First of all, thanks to GRIMES, CIRIBOB, FLIGHTCONTROL, SHAGRAT, CHROMIUM, MBOT, and many many many others. Because I learned from you and I steal few snipets here and there, or I am simply using your job, one way or another. Well guys, this is the last script I have finnished… In my opinión together with the Gazelle Recon Script, there is a before and after Combined Operations. I always wondered, why DCS doesn’t have more options in the F10 map for the ground units, such as, Smoke, Illum, Lase or lase targets. We can send our flights to attack enemy units in F10, but many of us, does like to fly with Fog of War… THe good point of this script is that this works for and most type of missions. From a single troops insertion, a Recon flight, CAS, MEdevac etc, etc. And ALL modules with no exception. You can use it if you are an attack aircraft or Helicopter, or transport, but also if you are a fighter. You can play CAP missions, doing your orbit, and managing the ground war by simple orders and going to the F10 map every once in a while. Then you order you CAS flights to attack, and you just protect them from every enemy it might come. It is very very funny for missions with just 3 or 4 pilots. If you take into account that there could be a ground war, and CAS flights by sipmply using 3 or 4 commands. With this script you will be able to: a) Get enemy report. It will give you the situation LAT LONG, Bullseye, Quantity and type of units in every group that is Line of Sight (LOS) at certain distance. (you have to put a trigger zone in called BEB in the Mission Editor, I recommend you to put it over the Bullseye of the Mission Editor) b) Illum enemy groups that are inside 5km and any friendly units has Line of Sight (LOS) with them c) Smoke enemy groups that that are inside 5km and any friendly units has Line of Sight (LOS) with them d) Lase whatever enemy unit that is LOS and closer than 15km. Once you finished the lasing, you have to manually switch it off. e) Ask for Close Air Support. You can order a given flight (called CAS1, CAS2, CAS3, CAS4) to attack any unit reported by our ground group. It means, any unit that is LOS. f) Also, it will advise you every 5 minutes if there is any enemy 5 kms from our troops. This is like the alert. The script works with all ground units. For LASING it will work only if the group name of the Lasing Group is “lasing1”, “lasing2”, “extract1”,”extract2” or “espia1” . Feel free to edit the .lua file, I line 187: local bluelasinggroups = {'lasing1', 'lasing2', 'extract1', 'extract2', 'espia1'} you can add few more at will. In fact you can lase with whatever aircraft or UAV. What is really interesting, is that you can LASE with any player aircraft or helicopter!!! (yeah!! I know you wanted something like this!!!). For the moment the LASER code is 1688. I ll try to do it configurable. You can do various LASINGS at ONCE, so when I can configure the code, various aircrafts can attack at the same time. All functions works the following way. You order to load the targets into the F10 menu radio, and then you look for the Targets to smoke, illum, or whatever... The philosophy is always the same. Load and then Execute. If you Load target twice, there could be a problem, so you have to reset. And the F10 menu will be cleared. So, remember, Load, and then Execute. For CAS Flights, as mentioned, you have to give them a name CAS1, CAS2, etc. And to make them to fly a route... I strongly recommend you to put two waypoints, and in the second wp in advanced task put them switch to wp1. You can give them whatever else order, such as, avoid defenses, use of ECM, whatever. In CAS Flights, you can also cancel attacks to make them come back to their orbits, if you want so. If not, they will attack the enmies until they are destroyed. SOme times they dont attack if the enemy defences are strong with SAMs... therefore, you can change the advanced task to avoid abort mission. How to make it work?? - Install “MIST.lua”, “CTLD.lua”and “C4ISR and CAS.lua”. - Edit up to four Flights called CAS1, CAS2, CAS3 and CAS4 (group name and unit name should be the same). They will answer your CAS calls. - Edit the JTACs with the group names given above or edit the .lua file to suit your desire. - Put a trigger zone called “BEB” on top of the Bullseye from the Mission editor. This will be used to give you references BE when the ground units are reporting. I need to polish and improve some things, but now, the script is really usefull and enjoyable!!!   14. I am trying to make it work with no success... I just put an A10, with an enemy Tor. I receive the message where says that I should have ejected, but the missile didnt explode, instead it hit me. Can anyone pass me a mission that works?? and if possible the lua file they are using? Cheers. PS: I think, I know how to make the Jammer Script.

  16. My mistake! I was misusing variable... So Cancellase didnt recognice the groupname later. I just put tostring(variable) and it is ok!!!! So i finished my script! I ll publish it so we can tweak it!! Smoke, illum, lasing, CAS support and report of the enemies is now possible. You decide which one!

  18. Hello Poly... I did a recon script, very funny, you can check in the mission builders forum. But to improve it, i would need to export two numbers. The heading of the viviane and the Laser range. Since those numbers are in the screen... They do exist, is there a posibility for you to make two functions like Unit. getVivianeHeading('gazellename') returns the viviane's heading at the moment you call the function. Unit. getVivianeLaserRange('gazellename') returns the laser range meassured by the viviane laser at the moment you call the function. The idea is to create a triggerzone in that place, and get all units there. Then to send this information to create a task for an AI aircraft or escort helo. The way i did the script is by getting all units that are line of sight in 15km, and filter by taking all the units that are in front of the Hellicopter. There are two problems... If there are two groups in line and LOS... I have to discriminate them by getting the coordenates and so.. So. If you iu give me these tools i would be able to make a more elegant solution. Thank you in advance.
  19. Negative.... It should work in multiplayer but at the moment only one Helicopter heading is the refetence... If you fly with another Gazelle he cannot load the Targets... Yet! Although the way is encripted, If you put another helicopter named "espia2", it should work, but when it loads the targets will take into account both aircrafts. I ll check later. It is not elegant, but it will probably work. But i havr to polish the script yet. What i wanted is to present it to you and may be we can tweak to make it better. Regarding polyshop... They wanted to give a functionality, but with this idea, it should not be difficult to export those to variables. VIVIANE CAMERA HEADING and VIVIANE LASER... If they tell me how to export this figures to a lua script... I can dobthe rest. That should be something like: Unit. getVivianeHeading('gazellename') Unit. getVivianeLaserRange('gazellename'). With this you create a point in the map. Then, with point and a radius let say 50meters you have a triggerzone... With a triggerzone, you capture all units in it in a table... The rest is the same as this script. This is my idea. Another option is to do it by my self... But i dont have time now, and the way it is now is quite funny. In any case i ll ask them again. As i told you, i have to polish the script... I am not a Lua master and it takes too long for me to get what I want. I know the philosophy but not the language.
  20. If we can export the Viviane´s laser range, and heading... we can triangulate and make a point in the map. With a point, we can make a triggerzone, and then we can collect the units/groups in such triggerzone. Once we have this, with a script like this, you can ask AI to attack. That would be ideal... BUT.... Shagrat, try this mission, and you will enjoy a lot.
  21. So, here it is. My new script. Many of us, that are enyoing the Gazelle module, miss the posibility to send the coordenates to an AI aircraft and make him attack. Well, not anymore... What can you do with this script? or better said, how it works? - Through a series of F10 menu commands you can add the enemy groups as a command menu. by pressing "CAS Support from Recon Helo" /"Load Target from Recon Helo". In order to the script to work you need to be slaved with the Viviane, and looking directly to the target. And to be Line of Sight... so, if you are behinde a mountain it does not work. Once you press Load Targets... This will put a list of CAS flights in the subemnu, and every flight will have that group target you were aiming at in it. If there are two groups... you can choose which one you want to attack because the targets have the coordenates LAT LONG, so you have to decide if this is the target you want to attack, or not. Check your Navigation systems and do your maths!!!! ;). This is the beauty of the script, flying in multicrew is awesome, and you can be in a very dangerous enviroment, doing your job. RECON. So now you will have a menu like this in F10. "CAS Support from Recon Helo" / "CAS1" (or CAS2, CAS3...) / N 43° 33,45 E 44°34,48 if you press CAS1 and then the LAT LONG coordenates, automatically the CAS1 group will attack the enemy until extintion. Since, some times, you dont get any enemies... you will have to reset the menus... This is important, never load twice, may be it does not work properly.... if something happens, just reset as many times as needed until there is not any CAS1, CAS2, CAS3... etc. Then press Load Targets again... (remember you need to be bearing the enemy!!!!) Also, in the menu of every CAS flight you have the option to cancel attack... this is good, sometimes you make a mistake, or you simple want to finish off the enemies by yourselve. How to install this script??? Easy, you need MIST and the Script given below. Configure a helicopter with name of the group, and name of the unit "espia1". Configure all CAS flights with the group name and the unit name with CAS1, CAS2, CAS3 and CAS4. You can put a CAS3 for example to follow you at a given distance, as I did in the mission example, and when you ask him to attack, he will do... when you call CAS3/Cancel attack, he will come back... it takes time to come back to formation, but... For flights, what I do is just... two waypoints, and in the second, I put, switch to wp1... this way, they are orbiting. So, I made a small mission, but it is really funny, Re-playable, since the enemies start with teleport in zone... so... take care!!! Enemies SAMs, Shilkas, BTR and Tanks. You have to clear the way... you have 2 flights of 2x10C with AGM, Rockets, and Bombs. And a Ka50 to cover you... (this is CAS3).I put a map of the mission here... take your time, and i recomend first, to clean the airspace of SAMs... then you can start distpatching taks to your CAS flights.... The mission consist to deliver the Blue ground units in the destiny. I made it only changing the speed of in the F10 map, so... go, and stop. Remeber, this is a part of a bigger thing... involving, smoke, illuminating, laser, enemy position etc... PS> To POLYSHOP. If you give us the possibility to have the distance and heading shown in the Viviane... I could create small areas and to make this script even better. - Gazelle3.0.lua gazelle recon test.miz
