Rode in CH-53s, H-60s, CH-46s, C-130s, C-17s, and along with riding in a UH-1Y was allowed to issue hate and discontent with the M134. I personally dispensed close to 4.5 million gallons of JP-8 and other aviation fuel during my four year career. Pumped gas into all of the above; plus F-18s/16s/14s/one 117, a 15E, a 105, AH-64s, AH-1s, CH-47s, AV-8Bs, C-5s, KC-135s....plus some cool black op aircraft like Learjets, UH-1 alternates, Cessna's, and Buffaloes. The closest I came to an aircraft...after finding no BUNO on rear of an F-18 with VMFA-115 I walked to the other side - nothing painted there. As I was walking back around to the starboard side my head was down while writing on my clipboard. Bamo - walked into the rear elevator. Top of head injuries tend to bleed - a lot - so I would say DNA exchange is pretty close.

HUD refresh rate seems a little slow...:megalol:

When the AV-8B, F-14, and F-18 all promise 2017...Money, time, return on investment; all very relative terms

It looks exceptional. Thank you RAZBAM.

....(pen ready over note pad)....yes, please continue about this "fly formation" :pilotfly: -
This. If you can provide a track or a video of the issue then it can be analyzed. Until then it is theory and all that can be given is advice on how to work the radar. If a problem does exist, proving evidence is the only way the community can help identify it based on what you've (DCS FIGHTER PILOT) provided so far. We're all here willing and waiting to help.

You might also need some video editing software. I use Sony Vegas products, and you can find them relatively cheap is you look around. Here is one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Movie-Studio-13-Platinum/dp/B00HRQB216/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1501591118&sr=8-3&keywords=sony%2Bvegas&th=1 For what you asked before I recommend Shadow Play if you have a Nividia Graphics Card. Shadow play records your game play, game audio, mic audio, and TS/Simple Radio all to one file. You can also separate them out or pick and choose any combination. Then drag those file/s over to your editor (Sony Vegas for me) and get creative. I can even do voice over work in the editor if I'm making a tutorial or want to add some commentary to the captured video. Shadow Play also allows you to set a reach back capture; click mapped key and it will record the last 3 minutes of game play (you can set the amount of time to go back). So you don't have to record your entire flights - do something cool, hit the capture button. I use OBS for live streams of DCS Youtube, but have never used the record feature. On the live-streams OBS picks up game audio, mic audio, and TS/simple radio audio. Plus you can play cast music at the same time (just watch out for copyright flagging).

One of my favorite Harrier videos...I would also support the development of said livery as well.

I'm not sure if I understand the problem correctly..? The key "G" should equal "G" in the game. For example if you press 'RCTRL+C' in game the canopy should close...is that not the case after install of the new keyboard? Might be a driver issue too...go to the website for the product and see if they have drivers to DL. Was DCS running when you plugged in/installed the new keyboard? Like if I launch DCS and then realize my TrackIR is off - I cannot start the TrackIR while in DCS; I have to close DCS first. Also, try going into the options menu > controls. Once in the controls for an aircraft (say SU-25) hit the "G" key. It should take you to the part of the controls mapped to the "G" on the keyboard - hopefully for Gear control. Try testing other key functions. If that doesn't work - try to reinstall your new keyboard.

OC? This may not be the popular route - but I honestly don't think you'll need to OC. The rig above more than out performs anything you'll see in DCS. I run something very similar (my GPU is a GTX-970; the only performance difference) and I get 70-90 FPS with everything graphics wise cranked all the way up, down low, on the Vegas strip, looking out the cockpit, recording my flight, live streaming on Youtube, on MP, in TS, browsing the internet on my other screen.....you get my point. I say build it; install DCS, and take a look how the rig performs before you start ramping up the CPU. But I get it....that fancy "K" dangling out there; like the throttle break right before you push it past into afterburner.

When you bring up the Controls for the F-5; try pressing "S". The list should go to what the control is when you press "S"; is nothing happens then it is not mapped to that key command. If so, then in the drop down menu (where you can navigate to Systems, Stick, Throttle Quadrant, etc.) there is a search feature at the top. Try typing "nose" or "steering". That should help you find the NWS and then you can map it to whatever you want - keyboard/HOTAS/flight stick.

Could be remembering it wrong - but I thought the Viggen was the first to have a jetwash factor? I'm almost certain I saw/read it somewhere. :notify:

+1 for this. Would be great additions considering the era specific aircraft coming (14, AV8B, and hopefully the Phantom). Some great within visual fighting to be had.

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
JINX_1391 replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
With MP crews being something in the future I'm sure this will be a thing. Also, if I'm remembering correctly that's footage from an F-16D during training. There's another one very similar where the nugget pilot over indulged the night before at "Taco Tuesday" and has an accident. Funny stuff :D -
It also helps on the 104th to read the mission briefs (am I the only one)...they do run a variety of missions. Some missions you'll find are traditional east vs west (no F-15's on REDFOR), some have GCI, or AWACS. All those play to your advantage. Next, as stated before, get on TS. Tell people you're in an F-5 and new and learning. I'm still nervous like asking a girl for coffee when I get on their TS and ask for help. But I've never had a negative experience and everyone I've ever met there have been super helpful and inclusive. Much better success rate there than I ever was at getting dates....:megalol: Your tactics with your F-15 kill are the type of things you'll be looking to employ. Ambush, clean ups, pop-ups, get in and get out, and other sneaky tactics all suit the F-5 on MP servers.

Saying this again because it will (actually already has) become a thing: no hms for f-15 so no hobs shots even if you have the 9x :music_whistling:
