  1. Yes you are imo. I'm calling early 2021 or Christmas 2020. Anyone else placing bets?
  2. Sniper pod is a much better improvement from the aircrew I have talked to and is without a doubt newer. They say it is much more precise than Litening. But the reason the litening pod is still having around supposedly is that the Sniper pod has a much narrower field of view compared to the Litening.
  3. I would not recommend the B-52 for hunting when in the MiG-15 (perfect for the 21 though). The BUFF is just too fast for the MiG-15, and IMO the MiG-15 was definitely outclassed by 1955 (think about the difference in aircraft from 1940-1945). The MiG-19 which also entered service in 1955, is a much better matchup (keep in mind B-52's during this period all had tail gunners), but we won't have the MiG-19 for a little bit. If I was you I would use C-130 or ideally the B-17 as a stand-in for the B-29, B-52 is just from a different period from the MiG-15, even if it was just a few years difference.
  4. Isn't this what happened with Razbam and the Mirage 2000?
  5. DACT Aircraft mostly from private contractors (an example is Draken International) + T-38 DACT Squadron & AT-38 Pictures *AT-38's are not used in DACT role, just interesting to see them in the paint scheme
  6. 3rd Generation Aircraft (not including T-38's in DACT role) Legendary MiG-28 captured from Area 51 :D
  7. Japanese F-15J/DJ Aggressors from Hiko Kyodogun JASDF Squadron
  8. Since there is no dedicated thread for aggressor aircraft I decided now would be a nice time to post some. This first post I am covering 4th generation aircraft, the second will be about pictures of the Japanese F-15's (So awesome) and the third post will cover 3rd generation aircraft. 4th Post I will try to get pictures of DACT in action (such as Draken aircraft) + T-38 DACT Squadrons AND AT-38 pictures. Please post any pictures below of aggressor/DACT aircraft that you would like to share! *Every picture (minus 2 CF-5) are US Aggresors, if you have pictures from other aggressor programs please post them! For those not aware Wikipedia does a great job of summing it up "An aggressor squadron or adversary squadron (in the US Navy and USMC) is a squadron that is trained to act as an opposing force in military wargames. Aggressor squadrons use enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to give a realistic simulation of air combat (as opposed to training against one's own forces). Since it is impractical to use actual enemy aircraft and equipment, surrogate aircraft are used to emulate potential adversaries."
  9. I'm just happy that we have a -C model Hawg, it's amazing how they were allowed to publish a game with such advanced material at the time (one of the most advanced aircraft on the inside for the time). 10 years ago most A-10's were still A models, think about that.
  10. Is it coming eventually yes? It is it worth getting excited about right now, nope. Maybe its just me but it's going to be a long time until DCS F-16 is released, no point imo getting excited right now, especially when we got so many interesting modules coming this year.
  11. Thanks NineLine I always love hearing a real-life pilots perspective about DCS
  12. I'll jump to the point here, why does the Air Force not have deployment (or widespread videos at least) videos, but the Navy does. The closest thing I can find for the Air Force is the various F-16 B Course Videos, but just a few operational videos. The Navy also has the various BALL videos which are quite awesome, anyone know the history behind that (someone did make a 2017 Viper Ball Video though...) Another thing I always wonder is why is the Navy so much more relaxed when it comes to recording footage in the cockpit (particularly HUD footage), while the Air Force is very strict about the footage being released online. For instance in how many F-16 videos do you see the camera facing forwards when compared to the Hornet/Rhino/Growler Videos *Viper Ball 2017 looks like it was made by an enthusiast rather than any aviators https://vimeo.com/199128993
  13. Awesome thanks for the post :)
  14. And your solution that will fix our problem is????
  15. Such a pain to see A-10C model Hawgs depicting the CT ANG in the recent (epic) trailer from today's news. Stupid BRAC 2005...
  16. Blue Angels are there for a promotional purpose for the US Navy/US Marine Corps, therefore if it is deemed that more people will have a higher interest if they have rock music playing, they are going to do it (as they have). Just like for any taxpayer aircraft display at an airshow, it is there for a reason. As others have said if you are going to leave just because of some music, suit yourself another spot for me! But having been to a couple Thunderbird & Blue Angel shows the music really isn't obnoxiously loud, you will still have your ears ringing throughout the performance.
  17. And I have no problem believing the AIM-120D is the king of the hill based on their multi-proven kill record of the AMRAAM 20 years ago  Nobody here knows the real answer, and if they did there is 0% chance they're going to tell a bunch of flight simmers.
  18. It's so upsetting the current state of our USMC Hornet fleet, all because nobody wanted to buy the Super Hornet & the F-35 took so long.
  19. I hope they take this very seriously, for me at least it is one of the hugest turn offs from this game, the lack of ATC contact information is ridiculous imo for a simulator. For instance landing at runways without even talking to the tower and no one could care less.
  20. Honestly I am just excited to have a slow aircraft, yet ridiculous maneuverable aircraft for buzzing airfields and friends on MP servers in the big jets. Landing on carriers is going to be fun also. I know that my opinion isn't the most streamlined with the rest of the community but I think its just great to have an aircraft modeled to DCS standards for nothing but fun! (which is the point of this sim right, to have fun!)

    Mig-19 hype?

How could you forgot the trusty "full throttle and whip the stick around" strategy?:D But on a serious note that will work fine for evading any missiles shot at them during this time period (or any missiles from the next 15-20 years of the MiG-19 Debut)
