[ADDED] Is there a keybind to cycle through countermeasure programs?
Jonne replied to MobiSev's topic in JF-17 Thunder
This keybind itself is not a big deal. Compromising realism for gameplay, or even worse balance as in this case, absoluletly is. -

I do, but I would also like to know, that on realism based servers, others arent aswell. -
Aircraft before the 1993 tech explosion for DCS

Well talking about generation 3, there still is alot of cool stuff to be desired. The F-4 of course is one of them. We will get the MiG-23 and already have the Viggen, plus the MiG-21bis is closer to that generation than to gen 2. Wasnt there also someone doing an earlier Mirage? My most wanted aircraft for that time would be the Su-22M4. -

That is what I am complaining about. If in the real JF-17 you have to switch to the CMBT page to change the program, then I would expect the same for the simulated. -
Just a small story from me flying the first mission of the campaign regarding Jester calling out friendly missiles: So after all while maybe a bit dramatic, the call of friendly missile launches does help occasionally.

That is very disappointing to read. I hope it will get locked behind a default off setting in the special options tab? So that it is enforced off on servers. -
War echt ne schöne Nummer!

Aircraft before the 1993 tech explosion for DCS

According to this: http://www.f-16.net/f-16_versions_article6.html, the original Block 30 did not have AMRAAM capability. Might be wrong though and we do not know what exact Block 30 F-16 we would see. -

It could not carry AMRAAMs. The Block 50 was the first to do so out of the factory. -
F111-Aardvark ~ Why you LOVE IT & why we need it
Jonne replied to Bartacomus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
You mean like exactly what the AJS 37 already does? Not that I do not like the idea of the F-111 in the game, actually I would be quite happy to see it. But its mission is not new to DCS. -

If that will happen, I hope it is going to be an of the shelf version. The Block 50 is not that much younger, but the DCS variant was modernized putting it way beyond the 90s. -
This should not be limited to the carrier, but available to airfields, too. How I see it working would be either something in the likes of a selection of nearby parking spots, where it automatically pushes you in, or a top down view where you could define the pushback track yourself.

The MiG-29 is such a nice airframe until you put a second seat on it. An early original would be my favorite, although if it really is not from the trailer, the 29 is out anyway.

Well it is still way easier changing certain avionics, than creating a whole new module. Kind of what we have with the removable RWR in the MiG-19P, or the missile warning system in the Mirage (which should not be there at all though). Restricting weapons should not be that big of a task either. We can do it ourself through the ME, but that is quite a PITA, the way it currently works. With the GPS, we already have one feature, which is dependent on mission date. -

Removing the AIM-120 does not make the F-16 or 18 we have in DCS a 1980's aircraft. You will still have GPS, HMS and a generally way to modern avionic suite. -
What is that article? Photoshop plus advertising pictures? Is that what is called journalism today?

And we already have two carrier aircraft before 1993 announced. Actually all aircraft except the F-15E which are announced for the future are before 1993. Well depending on the modelled systems, even that one could be. -

This thread, I like it. No honestly I am totally in for the whole before Fox 3 era. While I do have two of those aircraft (+FC3), I am always coming back to flying the older ones, as they are just more fun. -
