  1. At certain speed Hornet can not turn tight enough to start bleeding airspeed because of it's G limiter set to 7.5G. The airframe can't pressurize anymore so turn radius will get bigger. Try turning with 7.5G at 300 kts and then do the same at 600 kts. At 300 you can "slide" in the air, because the FCS will allow you to do that, at 600 kts with 7.5G (FCS limit) you won't be able to turn tighter unless you remove the G limit with the autopilot disengage button held down. P.S. That's why you should keep your speed up in a fight to not bleed it with maximum stick deflection. I find 400-450 kts the best in the Hornet for a dogfight. P.S. 2 Blacking out is kind of random in my feeling. Sometimes you can hold it with a small tunnel to look, and sometimes it just pops out and you are instantly unconscious for quite a while. Everything with the same G load. I've won/lost a fight like that many times. It would be nice if we would have some kind of seatbelts that detect the G in-game and if we are squeezing our muscles to hold Gs :P. Would be fun for you, and weird for someone who comes to your room :D.
  2. I can confirm this, I've done everything as described above and I was able to cycle through bars limitless, then selected Sidewinders and everything went back to normal. Track file below. track proof.trk
  3. It's been a while since I've noticed it but I checked it on purpose yesterday. The problem is, or actually just a bug, not really gamebraking, when you type "Y" ("Y" is by default bound to FCS BIT switch) in chat, FCS BIT switch also reacts and runs the test. I start up the Hornet manually, then when it comes to FCS BIT I hold mouse button pressed down on FCS (on DDI) and hit "Y" on my keyboard. Then as above, typing in chat letter "Y" causes FCS BIT to run. I hope this is understandable....
  4. Well, just finished 2 hours long online session with my friends… I've never been that pissed like today. Flying the 18 is now like driving a Ferrari looking car with a tractor engine… During this 2 hours of flying I've had normal lock 2 times maybe. We were flying simple mission, only IR missiles, some ground units, no scripts etc. Ended up in flying a Mirage...
  5. Sure, but still that basic multicrew would be awesome as... (finish as you want :P).
  6. Have you guys thought about trying to implement multicrew for your F-14 mod just to fly with someone for fun? It doesn't even have to have the cockpit in the back. It would be good for sightseeing and learn to cooperate in close combat/dogfight. I've seen multicrew mod for TF-51D (which doesn't work anymore) but maybe it's worth a try with your coding skills.
  7. Little (and last) update: The cause of my problem was HeadTracker.dll file which is needed for FTNoIR to work. HeadTracker.dll 64-bit was allowing the program to work in game but I couldn't control the view in a cockpit with my numpad even if FTNoIR wasn't working. I've downloaded HeadTracker.dll 32-bit file, removed 64-bit version, copied and pasted 32-bit into the DCS "bin" folder, removed "trackir" folder, ran repair, and now my numpad works in a cockpit when FTNoIR is not working. Thread can be now closed.
  8. Yep, happens to me as well. Terrain around an airplane is visible but not exactly underneath it. It loads up after some time like 10-20 seconds.
  9. Hi, for some reason I can not control the view in a cockpit with my numpad, no matter if FaceTrackNoIR is running, stopped or completely turned off. External view works fine with numpad, I can control it around an airplane. It happens in every airplane.
  10. Actually, OP said that he can not SPOT enemies. LODs in DCS are imo a little bit messed up. You may ask "why?". MSAA/SSAO/Anti-aliasing makes these tiny dots completely invisible on long range, unless it's a huge tanker or bomber like KC-135 or Tu-160. Couple of days ago when I've been playing with a couple buddies of mine, I've had AA set in Nvidia control panel to 8x, then I've changed it to 4x and still couldn't spot anyone visually (I'm flying the Hornet, so for now I'm not really using it's radar). Then I decided to turn off AA completely, and magically, dots, or even small short lines are visible so I can fight. Resolution of your screen also affects LODs, the higher resolution, the less you can see. Fortunately for me I've got 1680x1050 :).
  11. This is how it works. In this case I think it's not about VRAM of a GPU, but Windows page file. If you don't have enough RAM, then some resources are stored in the page file (virtual memory on your hard drive). I've got 16GBs of RAM, settings in DCS mostly set to low (with 1050Ti 4GBs) and still, ONLY ground textures are actually disappearing for 5-10 seconds, and ONLY when I look at the map.
  12. So we have the exact same problem as I have terrain textures set to low as well.
  13. Hi, I thought this is the right place to start a thread about this "problem". As far as I know, this manager cleans up every resource that wasn't used in the last 10 seconds. I don't know if this is related but every time when, let's say I'm looking at the map (a bit longer, because I need some more info from there) and then come back to a cockpit, I don't see the ground textures and it loads back up after like 5-10 seconds. If this is possible, in my opinion this manager also needs some priorites like the ground textures for example. P.S. I'm using HDD, not SSD. My example below:
  14. I think this might be an issue of our resolution. I know because Ive got the same res. Just go to YouTube and notice that even cockpit looks sharper in 1080p.
  15. I've reached 19.4G also after normal landing. Glide slope 3 degrees, E bracket perfectly lined up. And after a carrier landing which is a "tiny" bit harder I had 9.8G.
  16. Tbh, even when you take off from a runway, you don't need to touch the stick as well, that's why we have T/O trim. Flaps to HALF, T/O trim, full AB, and just let it roll, it goes up by itself nice and smooth.
  17. I have the same "problem" (cuz maybe it's not a problem) with 1680x1050 resolution, so I think it's just this font.
  18. You've seen it for the 1st time in your own DCS build. But on Wags' vids with the Hornet it was already implemented, so still, Hornet was 1st with these effects. But for us, indeed Harrier and Mirage were 1st. Same goes with rain droplets on a canopy. I've posted it only as a reminder :).
  19. Please don't forget that the Hornet is actually 1st with these effects and it's still WIP. Notice that normally at high Gs vapour also appears on the wings and covers almost entire surface.
  20. It's not only about airports lights, but every lights in DCS. For example for me landing light doesn't do anything, I can't see where I'm going when it's dark. I can see on external view that the light works, but it doesn't do anything... There is also a bug with that light and it goes through the floor of a cockpit and lights up all the panels unless landing gear is 100% up and closed (because then light goes off). Also, try to land on a carrier at night, it's impossible to see the lights of it unless you're very close to it.
  21. Well, you're not alone guys. Today I tried to join AO, I was waiting for about 10 mins so I thought my DCS crashed, when I wanted to close it through task manager it loaded. I took a plane, was flying around for like 5 mins and then it kicked me out to ME. FPS... Average 45 when on SP stable 60. Btw I wonder if Wags is playing on MP sometimes. Maybe he doesn't know what is happening on MP (no offense, I'm not flaming or blaming, just wondering).
  22. +1 for above, it's correct answer.
  23. Great, can't wait to see it.
  24. Actually, afaik the higher resolution you have (4K in your case), the worse visibility you have because you have more pixels so aircraft is rendered as a single pixel. I'm playing on 1680x1050 (my native res) and I don't have any problems with spotting aircrafts. Try to lower your res to 1080 and see what happenes, maybe this will help.
  25. Wow, am I the youngest one here at the moment :D? I'm 19, started with Flanker 2.0 and Il-2 Sturmovik when I was 4-5. And I'm not acting like some kiddos on AO server, when they keep crashing because they think it's fun... Maybe I'm already TOO OLD to get it :joystick:. EDIT: I read all posts carefully, for now Magic Zach is the youngest here. Btw Zach, we flew together some time ago ;).
