F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
JUICE-AWG replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That's the funny thing about guesstimating functions and by chance landing upon current classified technology. Regardless of the legality of possessing classified information, conducting tactics and systems use that are classified, and such information being shared and talked about in the DCS Community, and without consideration what the US Government can enforce or not, would you really want to give open access to our nation's classified information and reduce the advantage we have against any potential adversaries. Boeing isn't whom I'm interested in supporting, it's my US Military personnel who need this information to remain For Official Use Only, Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret for the preservation of the strategic and tactical advantage. ;^) Overall, if the systems modeled in DCS for a potential Superhornet can be done without disclosing classified information, systems, or tactics, then I'm all for it! -
I have my per-aircraft kneeboard folders and everything is working great via my savedgames/dcsworld openbeta/kneeboard/ (FA-18C, UH-1H, ETC). But does anyone know of a way to designated specific "TERRAIN" folders so my NTTR Custom Arrival Kneeboard doesn't show up on other maps, and such?

In all my years hosting Hornets (C's n D's) at Kadena and Kunsan, we never saw them fold the wings on a dry land the taxied wings down and parked wings down 100% of the time. I maybe remember seeing some hornets in a hangar for maintenance where they folded the wings to get more jets under cover, but out on the ramp in a row, all wings down full time ops!

Would the Scale of the Philippine Islands and New Guinea with all the atolls be scalable? The region to be effective in DCS would have to be 1600 miles by 1200 miles at a minimum to make anything of strategic value. Anything less and you are basically on the ocean and will have to use ships.

A hanger full of my purchased aircrafts?
JUICE-AWG replied to ravenzino's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I sold all my aircraft and only fly this one now! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/497612412862726146/591502023468515347/StealthFighter2.jpg -
Yes, until then it's called "Mission Editor."

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)

It would be nice but not likely with classified systems and securing a licensing agreement with Boeing makes it something I don't envision in the foreseeable future. -
Red Flag Training Missions - F/A-18C
JUICE-AWG replied to beppe_goodoldrebel's topic in User Created Missions General
My Red Flag Iron Hand mission freezes after the second loading screen when you hit the START button. I made a MP copy of this and same thing, can see the briefing, but hit START and loads about 66% of the way and hangs up there... This started after the recent update. -
Hey Wags, just to make sure we're seeing what you're seeing with those Rift-S units, send one of them to me and I'll concur with your findings sir. PM me for the address and thanks! Also, maybe when it's not so hot, let us know when we may join you at your desert house and do some volunteer voiceover work for upcoming modules, ATC, JTAC, Carrier, Etc...let us lend some variety to the game at no cost to you except a few beers and pizzas! Combo Module Request - Simplified Flight Model Bundles
JUICE-AWG replied to JUICE-AWG's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I suggested this over three years ago and is it going to become a reality with FC4? https://stormbirds.blog/2018/05/22/speculation-and-thoughts-on-dcs-flaming-cliffs-4/ -

DCS Wishlist - F-16N Skins for Navy Aggressors
JUICE-AWG replied to JUICE-AWG's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Does anyone know if the F-16N is just a C-Model viper re-designated as a N for "Navy" identification? I'm just hoping they have some N-Model Skins for NATOPs TopGun Adversary Roles. -
How to Edit values in Logbook.lua file?
JUICE-AWG replied to Just Someone's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
It would be nice if the software tracked all your flight time and airframe time instead of just SP Instant Action and MISSION options. I did a test and it looks like the Missions under TRAINING aren't logged as flight time on your LogBook. -

The Eagle Hook as well as other USAF aircraft is merely for runway cable arresting in a hydraulic or brake failure situation. NTTR has the cable areas marked on both ends of the runways and wouldn't it be nice if we could contact tower and have them raise the cable and arrest on it to simulate the emergency.

To all, I think our new Carrier Module is going to fix a lot of our concerns. Looking forward to it!

MISSIONS Practice Bug F/A-18C AGM-65E Practice w/JTAC
JUICE-AWG replied to JUICE-AWG's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I had to move the Invisible to #1 in waypoint actions but something just started tonight with the Iron Hand Red Flag mission. It will not finish loading in Single Player or the Edited MP mission for 2 people I adapted from it. Just started tonight...and I've run Repair DCS and tried it again with the same results. Mine worked fine before today...with no changes to my settings. -
DCS: F-16CM Block 50 by EDSA Discussion Thread
JUICE-AWG replied to NineLine's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Does anyone have an idea if the Viper will come with an F-16N version and adversary paint scheme? https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/37/F-16N_Viper_at_NAS_Miramar_1991.JPEG -
Slight error on the MISSIONS section of the main menu for the F/A-18C Training Day mission at Creech AFB. Slide 5 of 5 shows Radio CH 2 as 264.00 for Creech ATC but the correct Frequency is 360.60. The slide is the only thing in error and the Preset Freq for CH2 and the main overview briefing text are correct. So it's just the graphical slide 5 that needs to be revised. Great missions all around guys! Thanks...

Hi, I searched through the forums and didn't find a post on this yet, but there is a problem with the F18 Maverick mission (Nevada version) where the JTAC is close to the targets he's controlling you onto but he isn't set as invisible so very soon after your initial check-in, he gets destroyed by the enemy vehicles he's trying to target for you. Simple fix, under advanced (waypoint actions) set a perform command to "invisible" and all is good! To follow up my report, I manually edited the mission and at first it didn't protect the JTAC asset until I moved invisible up to the top (#1) spot on the actions list. Cheers,

Absolutely...thank you TurkeyDriver! The difference between SIM drivers and Game Players is when they drop the tanks or ordinance...and cheers for making this a point!:pilotfly: Emergency Use Only I guess!

In the real world, all F-16C Pilots have to pass a minimum threshold test in the Centrifuge in the RTU/IFF pipeline and depending on several body type factors, not all pilots handle the G's the same. Even two pilots matched on bio-stats (i.e., height, weight, muscle density, distance from heart to the brain, blood pressure, etc) would have different tolerances due to daily diet, dehydration, recent G-Currency, and several other factors. Almost all USAF Performance Fighter Pilots (the guys that fly more puke-a-genic prone aircraft) do warmup G turns before practice engagements to build G-Onset awareness...this means that a particular pilot might know his or her average G-Tolerances but the warmup exercise will give an indication of that day's G-conditioning and this allows he or she to know any current limitations to avoid GLOC and disaster. Of course my information is over a decade old but the facets around G-tolerance and human factors in this subject are mostly the same. During my 1-year tour at Kunsan in the 35th, we converted to the COMBAT EDGE system and although it gives you a better tolerance advantage to pulling Gs, the main benefit of CE is that pilots can go out and perform multiple high-G engagements in a single day and be less fatigued afterwards. I'm sure ED will model a decent G environment for the VIPER eventually, but let's just hope they remember to hook up the Canopy Releases and not leave them unconnected like in the Tomcat and Hornet Pilot Flight Gear Modeling! ;^) JUICE, Class of 1992-1993, 35th FS Pantons, 8 FW, Kunsan, South Korea "PUSH IT UP!"

Are we going to get Airfield Data Charts in a Kneeboard?
-
Yes ED and the community, this is a great opportunity for members to volunteer their voices to augment the software programming needs for the different controlling agencies and mission packages. I have noticed that every KC-135 tanker has the same boom operator!
