No Joystick input after a few minutes
nemises replied to Soulreciever's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Hiya Soul, Chances are you are missing the Trim-return .. What you have to do once the trim button is released button is Immediately return all Axis (X, Y and Z) to centre.....you will get control back the instant all controls are centralised.. This is so you don't get double transforms on any input (since we have spring return controllers, yet the real machine has hydrolic actuators). You can disable this behaviour in options, by de-selecting "alternate trim method", but you'll need to manually remember to return your controls after trimming else you get double transform input, which can be a bit like riding a bucking broncho. Good luck -
..mate if you think any of us married guys are getting cuddles after coming to bed at 3am after playing flightsims all day instead of doing housework, you've got it allll wrong ;)

probably means the TGP slaved to boresite during a strafing run..

don't know if it has been posted in this thread, but please feel free to view a series of vids on the subject by 104th_Tyger: There are 3 vids on a10c Mav's that should answer almost any question you have about deploying them http://www.youtube.com/user/Tigerpwrr

Negative,, The release point of CCRP is calculated to impact where the piper is at the time of release.. Guided weapons (Mav or LGB) are your only real hope at stand-off on moving targets.. Jdams are a no go, as it is loaded with co-ordinates at the time of release and self guides from there afaik

old school...I feel ripped off if I have to cart around useless packaging and media...just have to recycle it, and DVD's / CD's are a pain to recycle (have to take to special recycler).. I'd rather keep it all digital, and stop wasting the worlds resources (including delivery, manufacturing and disposal of physical stuff). earlier quicker and cheaper are just ancillary perks

nice work!

...are you sure the Mav needs to be set as SPI ?...it has to be SOI sure, so you can slew it, but SPI can remain TGP afaik..
-
Genius, that's my new strategy right there....

it is scored however the missions designer decided.. In Georgian Oil War, Wags has set it so certain events are worth + points, and certain events are worth - points. Generally speaking, if you are CAS for a tank unit, then it is + points if the tank unit makes it to its destination, and - points if it does not. Anything OVER 50% is a pass generally

for what it's worth, moving last week from Xp sp3 -> Win7 x 64 has had a considerable increase in performance for me, so I would say, yes you are also likely to see improvements (I'm guessing up to 50% improvement in some very busy missions)

nice, thanks

Startup Procedure "OMG" What have I been missing?

agreed...welcome to the league of card carrying buttonoligists! -
jesus..80?!...

probably 1 of 2 things: 1) you've been damaged 2) you've run out of video memory (I've had this happen and it stops drawing the HUD and MFD's)...also stops drawing my flaps some times... But yeah, beyond that, there is no trick to it other than making sure you are generating power, have the batteries on, and the IFCC switch on

^^ yep, powers5 is right in terms of the default keys
-
usually performance will increase between Beta and release, but there's no guarantee. As for your first question?..sorry, you'll have to re-phrase that in English

easiest way to see is the flap angle gauge..left hand side near the Gear lever. you haveto map keys to operate (default are shift-f for lower, ctrl-f for raise...press shift f twice to get to 60 degress / landing) you can only operate flaps once there is hydrolic pressure, which in turn is only available once the engines are up and running (check hydrolic pressure gauges top right front) flaps will not deploy (and infact will auto retract) if you go faster that 185 knots

It sounds awesome, but it really would be extremely complicated to implement ....

Heya Snake, Don't give up, it all does work.. Your main issue, I'm sure, is trying to get it all going instantly without rtfm :) ... don't worry I'd be doing exactly the same.. There's lots of posts around indicating the most likely issues your seeing ...trackir for eg: - make sure you are running the 32 bit install only if you want to use trackir (even if on a 64bit OS), and natural point havent released game support for the 64bit exe yet. - make sure to "update game support" from within trackir, so it recognises the 32bit exe Engines: -make sure to follow the ramp start procedure fully...chance are you are moving your throtle axis, and expecting to see the in cockpit throttle move...it will not, as it is locked in place by detents.....once the APU is up and running, press the left engine the right engine start keys, THEN you will see the throttle move when you change the throttle axis. - alternatively, double check you are mapping your throttle axis to the correct axis in options...if you are using an X52, it will try to map it to "slider 1" by default. It does work, and it works for many many people... the problems, I'm afraid, are between keyboard and chair ;) Good luck mate, hope you take a deep breath and decide to re-install....it really isn't that hard to work it out, just need some patience

yes Host will need to open a few ports if NATting or firewalled. Same ports as FC, FC2, and DCS:BS , so if youve ever hosted any of those,, you are good to go.

you could remove the spring in your rudder pedals?
