One question after flying a little bit yesterday between Sochi and Sukhumi : are there the runway markings (white stripes) and taxiway markings (yellow lines) missing or is it just on my side? Have not checked other airports yet. -

Thanks Taz, my findings: smooth, more pleasant to the human eye, extremely fluid (track IR user), no flickering (looking around and zooming in for example with the KA50 shkval). Definitely no impact on frames... I recommend your trees whatever senery mod people may use. Currently I use them with Starways latest 2.5.8 release. I use it with shadows flat, MSAA 4x, Anisotropic 16x, trees max Cheers Willy

Confirmed.... on my side I regularily get time-outs since several weeks (which did not occur before). I have a very low own ping, the server(s) I try to stay on is well below 200 (i.e. TTI, Blue flag, 104th), my internet connection is fine (100MB down, 40 MB up), all "advices" you can find on the forums tested but no luck. Firewall shut down, even relevant ports are open. DCS is running smooth with high frames and suddenly I am out. It happens around 6-10 minutes after joining a server. It is not related to any mods as clean DCS does the same. It happens to me especially on Caucasus Map. And then there is a day I stay connected for hours. Really no clue what is the culprit, what to do. Can´t prove it but it seems that dedicate server structure and the package of date the SERVER recieves or sends is the "bottleneck" Long time since ED said that several reasons may induce this behaviour and that it is hard to pin down. Since then no more information about that. I exclusively play MP and that´s really a showstopper since weeks.

Hi OrdMan87, as far as I know from many posts before that sounds like a controller issue. Please check a) that NO other controller axis is binded to your stick that affects steering b) your curves and adjust them c) set a deadzone for stick and rudder as many devices tend to "oszillate" and induce un-wanted steering inputs I can assure you that it is NOT the fault of the flight model. Dedicated Server 2.5.5 - Problem: Connection Timeout

I have the same experience as client - especially with the latest updates (not the one from June 17th which is not installed yet on my PC). Connection timeout around 2-5 min beeing on the MP server - which was very rare before. It´s not a matter of "ping" nor of my internet connection (100MB down/40MB up). Still have no clue whats going on. Ports are open (to be sure), firewall is not blocking. -

SRS: a communication tool to simulate talking to others on specific frequencies via aircraft radio. Seperate download and (simple) install. All very well documented in the included readme.txt. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169387 The appropriate frequencies for TTS Server are in the briefing (left ALT+B) once you are conneted to the MP server. For example 251AM is for airfield comms, 124AM for air to ground, 254AM for air to air and so on. -

Same here. The only way to get into a MP server for me is to remember the IP of the server and connect via "direct IP connection". No chance to wait for the list. -

Gents...before new cockpit I just had to uncage Shkval to get a picture and now it seems the TV is not working on my side.... what am I missing? Anyone else issues with that? EDIT: seems to be only the russion cockpit version

Different finding yesterday on a PG server: it is present during taxi, T/o, normal cruise (mil) and even after complete engine shutdown on the carrier (not as dense as during taxi or flight but still present). Density of black smoke differs according to power setting but over all present.

Present workaround: tune carrier ATC and request T/O hit "u" again and voila it´s hooked plus deflectors go up. -

If I got you right that´s what we had even in the 90ies IRL :-) on the good old Huey (SAR German Airforce). Overhead panel gives you rotary knobs for backlight of analogue gauges and a knob for the brightness of the needles. Thats all. If you prefer a brighter glareshield turn on the green lights. Much more annoying is that the beacon and the nav lights shine through the airframe...kinda unrealistic. Cheers Willy

Question about SAM sites: As frequent helicopter flyer on the sever I came across yesterday on that topic. 1. Someone destroyed a friendly unit (think it was the radar unit) of an operational HAWK site at Sochi....I was unable to repair (or rearm) this site by delivering another crate to it. It does not let me unpack and says that all the other 3 crates are missing. From sorties on another server I remember that CTLD works different: once a SAM site is damaged you can bring whatever SAM crate, unpack it and the site is repaired (same with rearming). 2. we can deploy BUK SA 11 (obviously russian stuff but in blue coalition). Does a single M18 AMMo truck rearm that unit? 3. whatt are the conditions for HAWK or BUK to be rearmed automatically.... resting on an airfield? Having a single M18 truck nearby? Do we need to rearm the SAM sites manually by bringing crates to them? I did not find a documentation on this topic but beeing happy to get some informations. Cheers Willy

If the server has no password you don´t have to put one in. Just leave it blank and connect.
