Hi Outaluck, Here is a direct link http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/showthread.php?2017-Control-Manager-Tutorial Once you figure out how to load a profile and make it active, all you have to do in A-10C is setup the axes as I said. Really, to load a profile, all you have to do is double click the *.map file. Also make sure in CH Control Manager that you are set to Direct Mode.

I am so happy I have the Military Channel once again. Great Planes is an awesome series. Just wish it was HD and my Satellite bill wasn't $120/month!

That's the downfall off adding extra rules of engagements, they have to be policed.

We have ran a server for a very long time now, many years. Thanks for your suggestions. Cheating sucks ass, we deal with it as best we can. There are advantages amd disadvantages to increases in file checking. We choose what we do as a comprimise. As mentioned, the current guns mission is for training, not about how many kills you can make. There is only 1 way to learn, that is practice. It is a practice mission. We have other missions and events that are setup for maximum allowable competition. This 1 mission is for practice. That is why there are no stats running for the guns mission. I think some of this discussion is not going too well because of the lack of understanding of English. In the end we all have different preferences. That does not make one preference better than the other.

Still an excellent idea. Stay detailed for the DCS aircraft and add detail to the ground units in the future. This will make Multiplayer basically a new sim. I think we are about to see a huge revitalization in multiplayer. Awesome. Thanks

=4c= Squad supends dedicated server operation in mid June
104th_Crunch replied to 4c Hajduk Veljko's topic in Multiplayer
The 4C are a great bunch of smart, dedicated and honorable guys. I am sure soon enough you will have a server back up. Nucleus had especially great missions, and I had lots of fun in those. Learned a lot. Thanks to 4C for everything they have done for the FC/DCS community. -
A marketing suggestio0n should DCS decide to expand on WWII
104th_Crunch replied to Bearcat's topic in Chit-Chat
Hi Bearcat, please though, think about the thousands of us that do like modern jets, that have helped put ED where they are today, and have been waiting for a DCS level modern jet since Ka-50 was announced years ago. We have had to have patience while P-51 was surprisingly announced, and we probably will have to wait through FC3, Combined Arms, Nevada etc. Don't get me wrong, we all have our preferences, but please just have some consideration for everyone. In the end ED will do what they need to do to keep afloat and hopefully the 3rd party community will grow. p.s Yes, ED's P51D kicks ass, and it would be good to see more WWII stuff come along as well :) -
DCS so far has been focused on A2G. When FC3 comes out soon, and the DCS fighter jet after that, there will be more unlocked servers. A2A will make things more busy. That and the fact DCS World will make it so everyone can play on the same server, regardless of DCS module they own.

104th Server - Restricted Weapons Missions - POLL
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Multiplayer
Restricted Weapons are good for a change up. As well as guns only missions here and there. Also, ED is putting extra features into the mission editor for DCS:World. I suspect by the time FC3 rolls around, missions will be able to be set to have a limited amount of weapons, or no weapon type. Same with fuel and number of available planes! All this set in the mission with no need for an admin on hand or special script. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=87429 -
Haven't had a chance to look at the 6DOF 'fix'. Does it just increase the limit parameters of the current 6DOF? Thanks

The airbase resourse management is sounding great. MP missions will never be the same. Kick ass stuff. Nice work guys. Thanks!

A few questions regarding Radar and EOS
104th_Crunch replied to jermin's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
No problem jermin, 1. No you do not have to maintain lock. Once the missile is within approximately 10km it will use it's own seeker. In the F-15 you have a counter for this, but not in the RUS planes. Now, if you have a friendly in the area, better to maintain lock and continue guiding the missile so it won't hit the friendly accident. 2. See above, nope. Just estimation on distance. 3. Yes, if you regain lock, it is possible to re-guide the R-27ER 4. No, if the jammer keeps ECM on, you keeping radar lock will do nothing. The 27ER will be guiding in on the ECM signal. If the ECM is turned off then on, then it would be better to lock the target. Before FC2, people would their ECM on/off rapidly for this reason. That why a ECM boot up time was implemented. 5. It will go ballistic. Never forget to turn off ECM if you have been fired on and a SAHR missile is close. It will track you like a dog till the end of the earth :) -

A few questions regarding Radar and EOS
104th_Crunch replied to jermin's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
1) You can launch the R-27ET with radar lock, but the radar lock is not doing anything for the guidance of the missile. The missile will need to use it's own seeker to lock. Better to use EOS and wait for the LA confirmation. 2) Cloud thermal signature is not modelled. 3) No warning is given. 4) No. The missile is completely autonomous using it's own thermal seeker 5) You can't use EOS to launch a radar missile. As mentioned, you can lock with EOS and fire a R-77, but the R-77 will use it's own seeker. 6) +-30° in azimuth (slewable left and right to a max of +-60°) and +-5° in elevation (slewable up and down to a max of +-30°). 7) Not very long at all. I believe that there is a 4 bar scan pattern implemented. Really, it pretty much instantaneous if there is a contact in the scan area and the aspect and distance is such that your radar will detect it. -
When you look at the actual throttle and stick in the manual for the P-51D, there are very little controls. So that is why I haven't made my profile available for download, as with so little controls anyone should be able to create a profile within minutes. I could though. I simply have on the stick: guns, bomb release and trim. On the throttle: Zoom in/out, TrackIR Center, Gun sight distance in/out. That's it. I also have Prop/RPM set to a lever on my Saitek quad.

Dude, if there ever was a statement to show you are pessimist. That one was it :)
-
DCS could maybe look as good as WOP, but WOP does not have to sacrifice gpu and cpu cycles for much more advanced calculations for physics, avionics etc. There is nocomparison between the 2 when it comes to those things.

Sorry, from the title topic, I thought this was about something else. Carry on
-
Hmmm... where have heard someone say that before? :) Really though, it's pretty obvious that something like that is a great idea for ED. Think of the high quality addons out there for FSX. Who in their right mind would spend time developing combat aircraft for FSX, when they can make something for DCS that has weapons modelling! Saying that, I wonder if advanced modelling for missiles is ready for these mods. Another idea for ED would be to sanction 3rd party mods that have to do with other aspects.of the sim. Maybe a 3rd party dev to do a dedicated server, online persistant stats etc.

Worked. Thanks
