  1. Yes, it's all you need Sweet! Thanks for the heads up.
  2. It is probably because of the complications of adding a third party mod into FC3 while FC is still related to Ubisoft's LOMAC brand.
  3. Looks like we will need the 3GO Su-27 and Combatace's Su-33 still for FC3.
  4. Hi Sova. What he means is that only 1 acticvation code will work online at one time. Get your freinds the free DCS:World with the free Su-25T to try out.
  5. The fact Lunaticfringe, that you want a DCS:Fighter and fighter aircraft to be the priority, and as a matter of fact I do as well, does not mean that is what is best for ED as a company. Sure, some people buy stuff just to support ED, but I think it is safe to say most bought Ka-50, A-10C etc. cause they like those releases for what they are. Lots going on at ED that we can only guess about.
  6. Good pros and con post. This is a small market. I suggest if there even a few things you like about FC3, then pick it up. Call of Duty doesn't need more sales. Flightsims need more sales. Support one of the last remaining and talented flightsim companies produce even more goodness in the future.
  7. Support the future of ED. Buy this release. Dont feel too bad about not getting what you want in this release. Trust me, ED feel worse. If they had the manpower, every jet would be upgraded.
  8. Looks great! Can`t wait to get online with all of DCS World! Support ED's hard work and get this release. This will be the best online flight combat sim ever made with FC3/DCS world online. The future looks even better with DCS Fighter and third party releases. Thanks team ED!
  9. It would be nice if we can get 32 players a side, like Opfor, Redflag etc.

    Eddie

Up the Irons! Wait, wrong Eddie. Happy Birthday!
  11. Read the briefing fully to know where hostiles are located. Jump in the server, jump out and go to singleplayer. Load the multiplayer mission in the editor and check it out. The maps for the servers you join are copied to the DCS temp folder, unless something has changed.
  12. Sure is. Thanks for the correction. I updated the posts
  13. As I said the above will get you close. If you are a bit better with math in your head then here are the exact conversions Speed: kilometers/hr divide by 1.8 = knot Altitude: meters multiply by 3.28 = feet Range: kilometers multiply by 1.8 = NM the other way around Speed: knot x 0.54 = KM/H Altitude: Feet x 0.3 = Meters Range: kilometers x 0.54 = NM
  14. Hi, none that I know of, and I doubt there are. Keep at it. Soon you won't have to convert. You will just get to know what metric values are. These give you estimates that are easy to do in your head. Really you don't need anything more. Speed: kilometers/hr divide by 2 = knot Altitude: meters multiply by 3 = feet Range: kilometers multiply by 2 = NM Speed: knot x 2 = KM/H Altitude: Feet / 3 =Meters Range: NM / 2 = KM
  15. Thanks Nate! Now, I guess A2A weapon modelling in 3rd party modules will be as it is currently in FC2? I understand if this is a WIP and you can't really give more info on this. So looking forward to all the DCS goodness in the works!
  16. How will missiles, and other weapons work in different DCS modules. For example, if a F16 and a F18 are created by 2 different third party companies, and they both use the AIM-120C, will they both share the same simulation model of that missile? Also, we know that a2a missile modelling in FC2 is not at the same level of detail as DCS AFM for aircraft. How is it third party devs will release aircraft with a2a missiles? Will they just use the current level of missile modelling in FC2? Thanks for any insight.
  17. Remember, all we have heard about are plans, etc. Can we at least get a DCS fighter jet first, then ask for something else? :)
  18. Options are fine, as long as there is no compromise, there is no issue.
  19. Looks great! Best of luck with the site.
  20. Just maybe some impatience. There have been many releases since DCS first came out, and many more announcements as well. Many fighter jet fans waiting for a DCS level fighter all the while. I am just happy now there is one in the works. If the plans call for something else in the meantime, then I guess they are necessary.
  21. Don't forget about A2A missile physics modelling. As it is right now in FC, it could also benefit from AFM.
  22. Ouch lol. SFM is the last of your worries.
  23. Choice is always a good thing. As long as there is a hi-fi jet or jets in development, then we have our choice. There are others out there that actually dont mind a something less realistic. Let them have their choice as well. Now, if the situation was that only FC2 level of aircraft was in development, then I would be worried. Right now though it is not the case. You need to look at the larger picture. There will be options for those like me who want highly realistic simulations and options for others as well. Meanwhile more people will join the community and everyone wins. Think about the constructive path this is leading to. In thend buy what you choose and it will be all good. You have to believe that ED is not throwimg out the idea of hi-fi simulatioms. They are just widening the market.
  24. What a great overview thanks. Very exciting. The future looks better than it ever has for DCS. Looking forward to ED's fast jet most of all, as I am sure it will be top notch like Ka50 and A10C are.
