Negative. There is already another thread in which it was reavealed that ED are using Ricardo's Cockpit textures for the Su-27. So, no full 6DOF. Still, better than default FC2 for sure.

I've never done it myself with Saitek software, besides my Quad, all my other stuff is CH, but a google search found a full description on how to do it. Please no!!!! I hope ED treat FC3 as a stop gap only to get fighters in with DCS. They should then forget all about FC3 and concentrate on DCS Fast Jets! Please, before I am so old I have arthritis and can't play flight sims anymore.

Good point about the realism and difficulty difference between FC2 A10 Maverick and the DCS A10 Maverick. Think though about how the tactics used to destroy a ground target are the same for both.

Not just draw distance, but actual amount of objects. For example there are no trees visible at any range in Low Scences.

I own a Saitek Quad. Yes, you can assign a key to an axis. Unfortunatley, can't help out as I am at work :)

What pedals are using? Most let you assign a key command like 'W' to the pedal. Works just fine with CH Pedals.

And you get blow up stuff really good with the DCS P-51! Don't worry about it. If you have enough patience to learn the Accusim P-51, you will do fine with the DCS P-51. You won't regret a thing.

An in game manual is a nice feature. One that is sure to help many a new player.

Regarding Red vs. Blue balance, the fact that DCS takes place in Russia/Georgia means that situations are hypothetical anyway. The 51st server has awesome mission design, and keeping a strict plane selection based on East vs. West is great, as it is closer to reality. Saying that, having both East and West jets available to both Red and Blue does not bother a lot of people and gives different options. Personally, I enjoy the realism of flight/combat simulation the most. Hypothetical scenarios don't bother me and have certain advantages. When someday we get more theaters to fly in, we''ll be able to recreate historical senarios much more, but having the same jets on both sides, and jets from different eras will make things interesting as well. I am looking forward to flying the P-51 as an option for ground pounding.

That screenshot is proof ED listens to its customers. Can't wait till FC3 and DCS are together on the same server. Player vs Player will be back! Ground pounders, you best get your air cover sorted out :devil_2:

Here are the F-15C controls. Really, for my profile I made something that works for all jets. I will keep it that way until DCS:Fast Jet arrives.

I am going by last experience with FC2, for wich you could set the server to absolutely disallow anything but Cockpit view and F11 airbase view. Maybe this changed for DCS?

Also, it is totally possible online for a server to disable wonder woman view, external views etc.

Of course, it is all relative to each person. I may find $40 for FC3 to be no problem, someone else may find it to be too much. You cannot, however, compare this to general patches/ addons from other games. This is not Call Of Duty with millions of units selling. This is a much smaller market. If you like aircombat, and you look at all the other competition for modern aircombat sims (not a lot!) then the $40 may not be very much. Also, until you actually try FC3, you may find your opinion to change. Right now there is a lot of speculation.

Some things could/need be updated for the Su/MiGs as well as the F-15. ED had to make decisions on what to prioritize their time on, and it is known that the F-15 is popular aircraft. There is no denying this. I am sure ED know this, but they have to make decisions on what to spend time on. I wish every plane had their missing features. I don't think there will ever be in FC all the missing things from each fighter. We will not get all the missing features until there is DCS:Su-27 and DCS:F-15 etc. FC3 in my mind is still a great idea for 1 reason, to get everyone in DCS and FC and the same freakin servers! I hope that there are no more updates to FC (except for maybe bug fixes if needed) and we see an Eastern and Western DCS fighter from ED ASAP. Either way I am sure things will only get better from here on out.
