When in MT VR (reverb G2 - Open XR), crash when loading the mission when I am as "Pilot". Hi everyone, Small problem since the last OB update (no idea if related to this). When I edit a new mission, even a simple one with just a flying aircraft, if the aircraft I want to fly is selected as "player" I systematically have a DCS crash! On the other hand, if I launch the same mission with the same aircraft as "client" and not as player, I don't have any problems... I did a DCS "repair" but it doesn't change anything. I can't imagine that this is related to my antivirus... I have never actually encountered this problem and I can't find a forum discussion on this topic... Thank you in advance for your help.

That's not the only bug on the Hind with the last update! The beacon don't flash anymore...It stay ON

So, not yet tested but the issue was reported but I didn't saw on the list that it was fixed with the last update...

Yep indeed but than why in the WARNING note the opposite is explained... Yesterday, I tested this setting during a long flight (Greben on GPK) and it was very accurate. Only switching to MK for a calibation and then back to GPK. The question is : is it a real difference in DCS if you decide to choose for MK or DPK?

When reading IRL manual, you can read these informations : MK is the primary operating mode of the system and is recommanded when flying in latitudes HIGHER than 70 degrees (NORTH POLE) The GA-6 gyro as a cumulative error of 3° per hour! The system must be calibrated periodically by switching back to MK (Magnetic Compass Mode) allowing the system to returning to the GPK (Directional Gyro Mode) So, I as understand, the normal position during flight is on GPK (GYRO) even more on the DCS map (Caucasus, Syria,...)

So, Begin of Jan 23 and it's maybe time to check if I am still using the correct way to use the KM-2 in order to have as much as precision when selecting a course with the Mi-24. During startup : Greben on MAG position At the end of startup : reset (3s) and the place the Greben knob on GYRO (screenshot) The F-10 map display now the magnetic and the true course if you want to go from your position to another place on the map. Since the magnetic declination is corrected by the Greben of the Mi-24P, I have to display the true heading on my HSI, Doppler and even course AP... Correct? My second question : do you change the latitude on the KM-2 when you are flyning on Caucasus, Syria or other maps ? For my point of view, if you are alone on the cockpit seta, Petrovitch will set the KM-2 on the correct position. Once Again, am I Correct ? Stil no interest in pushing SYNCH during long flights as long as the Greben is on Gyro? Even if I am landed and that I replace the Greben switch on MAG during a few seconds ? Thxxx

Je suis toujours en contact avec Mole qui construit également un cockpit de Mi-24 et qui vole chez Black Shark Den. On avait déjà discuté d'organiser une Inter avec vous. Tu es francophone ou anglophone? On pourrait se mettre en contact pour discuter de tout cela. Il y a quelques mois on a fait une mission commune (en anglais) avec les développeurs britanniques de la carte SA de Razbam. C'était une première pour nous et cela s'est bien passé...

So if I good understand, there is no way to implement your map in the Hind cockpit mini-map. Correct? On the ED perspective, I can’t imagine that no solution is studied particurlarly with all the others modules that have MFDs….

I am of course using the mod bettertrees by Taz1004 and I find that the last ED screenshots are showing such a kind of improvement. The Taz mod combined with the Bartek mod you can have such kind of environement which is clearly giving a new nice Caucasus map!

New screenshots linked to the Caucasus map were recently released. Is it something new coming on this map? Notting was annouced so why these new screenshots? Aly little update….darker tress or other improvments planned in the next months?

It is annoying that not all maps can be displayed in the dedicated cockpit mini-map. The module is available since a quite long time and maps like Caucasus ans Syria are not fully implemented at both zoom levels. The SA map which is the latest release is however fully implemented. Caucasus is a DCS map even though Syria was created by UGRA it is still a DCS production and I don't understand why this kind of thing has not been implemented yet. In fact the use of the map is at some point totally useless beacause you can fly into a black areas when not implemented... Is it foreseen in the future (near future)??

If I have uderstood the situation correctly and if I summarise correctly: - The 3D modelling is very advanced and not far from being completely finished - No coder available Conclusion: The development of the BO-105 module is put "on hold" and no more development for the moment. Correct?

The static L118 105mm light artillery gun has been added to the list of possible cargo (can be cargo) but when you want to sling it with the Mi-8 (both in hovering and on the ground) the gun seems to go into the ground and the Mi-8 is damaged or destroyed.

Refueling probe (Special Ops MH-47in option)??? This could be a huge improvement for the helo in DCS!

Hind...released in June 21! CH-47 release : I don't expect anything for 2023...and there is no rush! I prefer to wait for a module nearly finished than a to early release...

This new "FATO" was added in one of the last updates of the Open Beta. Unless I'm mistaken, it's an additional object that arrived with others related to the South Atlantic map from Razbam...
