  1. Could very well be. What Im experiencing is pretty much the low end of the fps has come up, while the top of the fps has stayed the same. So sure, higher average, higher low's, but not really a higher peak fps. Not seeing 90 fps that much more, if more at all.
  2. NineLine just confirmed on Discord that the VR Optimization didnt make it in. So that settles that. But at the same time, Im still seeing an improvement here, significant, what ever the reason. So just bonus for me I guess, that I'll get even more improvement down the line.
  3. I can guarantee you Im not seeing a placebo effect. Dont care if this is the actual VR optimization or not, cause Im seeing a significant boost, every where. And Im a fps whore, I hate sub 45 fps in VR and I hate stutters. I pick them up instantly, and they annoy me immensely. And its silky smooth atm. Heck, I even turned on the mirrors in the Hornet just now, low over Bandar Abbas port area, and it stayed at 45 fps (still shadows on low too). I would be 30 fps and stutter fest prior to this update in those circumstances.
  4. Yea Im getting significant performance increase too, VR optimization or not. Posted these on Discord earlier:
  5. Its already live, and its big. Depending on how much content you own. 2.85Gb delta's followed by a 12.7Gb download here.
  6. Its sarcasm, the post is dripping it.
  7. Welcome. Its quite rare. Probably related to the Open Beta update deployment, that is more than likely being released later today.
  8. Oh so ED should postpone the release of the A-8 module, so that we could receive a weapon for the Hornet? You do realize that this changes nothing... NOTHING! Your final part of the Hornet will still arrive at given time in the future, no matter if the JSOW received testing prio or not. Just because the testing phase is delayed doesnt mean that the entire Hornet program is sliding, cause the programmers on the Hornet are still doing their thing - like finishing the remaining JSOW features. They arent idling waiting for the testers to finish testing the JSOW. So no, sorry. I cant see it, cause there is nothing to see. Nothing is changed.
  9. +1 And this incredible insight in how Eagle Dynamics works. Not even ED management have this knowledge and insight, but somehow they do. Its like the ½ billion football fans all over the planet, knowing what is better for their club and team. Pure gold out there on the couches.
  10. No
  11. Cool thx. So it was to enlarge what was on there, and quite a bit, hence the 'fish bowl', cause you only had a very narrow viewing angle/area where it would be clear?
  12. This being what Im referring too. Edit: And just in case. No Im not gonna ask if we get this too. Just curious what it is.
  13. Just watching this video, and it sure looks like there is a lens (Fresnel?) on top, or some filter at least. Does give me a strong Fresnel type lens vibe though.
  14. They served on 3 fronts besides Kursk (and all the way back to Berlin), Battle of the Bulge, Operation Nordwind and Battle of Anzio. The latter being very carrier operation oriented if you include Corsica and Sardinia (Sicily might be outside the map size?), plus Corsica and Sardinia saw a lot of air action during WWII, them being the base for multiple P-47 squadrons.
  15. Works here, Open Beta, as late as yesterday. Im using RCTRL+RSHIFT+ numpad / and * though.
  16. Full fidelity MiG-29, MiG-35, Su-27, Su-33, Su-34, Su-57, Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, JAS 39 Gripen, F-15X, F-22 Raptor, F-35 JSF.
  17. I prefer the New Sound. Much closer to my expectations of how it would sound in the cockpit.
  18. Thank you
  19. Does anybody have a invite link for the DCS Discord that is being mentioned here and there? I have been unable to find a functioning link, or find the server/channel trough Discords own search.
  20. Oh, well that limitation sucks. Yea those buildings, bridges, railways, rail yards, runways, shelters, ME placed statics, all need a status that can be stored. Would open so many possibilities for mission builders, especially for multiplayer.
  21. I dont think a snapview will work, since it doesnt store VR orientation, only location. I know of no way to archive this, except by using a swivel chair to help look around.
  22. A Mk 84 or GBU-31 will make life miserable for a player, if the player drives trough the crater at relative high speed. I would drop either on a given runway, and then land on it. As soon as I ran over the crater, my plane would explode. That was F-14, F-18 and F-5's I tried with.
  23. Excuse me Sir... Sir. You forgot this Sir.
