Does anybody have a invite link for the DCS Discord that is being mentioned here and there? I have been unable to find a functioning link, or find the server/channel trough Discords own search.
Oh, well that limitation sucks. Yea those buildings, bridges, railways, rail yards, runways, shelters, ME placed statics, all need a status that can be stored. Would open so many possibilities for mission builders, especially for multiplayer.
I dont think a snapview will work, since it doesnt store VR orientation, only location. I know of no way to archive this, except by using a swivel chair to help look around.
A Mk 84 or GBU-31 will make life miserable for a player, if the player drives trough the crater at relative high speed.
I would drop either on a given runway, and then land on it. As soon as I ran over the crater, my plane would explode. That was F-14, F-18 and F-5's I tried with.
A-4 Skyhawk pilot J.R. Starch gives us a walkaround of both the A-4 and TA-4 models. These aircraft are some amazing airplanes and have one of the fastest roll rates.

Ive always thought the Falcon name was quite fitting though, and it wasnt until I roamed the halls of DCS, that I came across the Viper name. Initially I thought some of the later blocks were called Viper.
Like the Warthog, I mean, Thunderbolt II?
Im a fan of the Fighting Falcon name too, but Im really not bothered by it being called Viper as forum title.
One part where I think the A-10C really shines, is in its HOTAS/system control design. Its so intuitive and clever once you know it, and you never (or rarely) take your hands off in combat. F-18 and Harrier dont shine in this way, they are much more DDI/MFD heavy, and you have to be hands of a lot more.
So, where does the 16 slot in this aspect? As clever as the A-10C, or more like the McDonnell guys?
2D/3D artist tend to squeeze a few percent over their budget, and each model becomes the new standard. Just natural evolution :).
Size doesnt matter, complexity does. But cockpit complexity wise the F-16 looks rather similar to the F-18, so I wouldnt expect much difference.
