Beslan to Sukumi-Babushara Engine Spluttering?
Andy1966 replied to imacken's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
just be aware the switch position is reversed,( not a bug) on is down, backwards from u.s. and German switches. if the low pressure light is on, most likely the pump is off, or you are out of fuel, most likely pump is off, if wobble pump turns the light off -
LOLOLOL HAHAHA I'm still laughing so hard, I cant breathe!

Basically CA is a mission editer add on that allows you to manually control more assets on the f-10 map. make sure the "allow player to control " box is checked for that units you want to control. then along the top of the F-10 map there are new icons on. click on the unit you want to control, then click on the little airplane icon on the top left and it will load you into the unit, but it has to be checked in the editer for it to work. read the manual there are a few commands to learn. I haven't used it in 2.0 yet, as I just set it up this weekend past.1.5 has a bunch of missions for CA (10 maybe 15)

It really is close to how it really looks. it may be difficult for some one from another country that hasn't been there before. However I read on another thread that there is or was a recent bug with the grass that made it look strange. don't know if maybe what the OP is wondering about

Try the tail draggers, they will give you a whole different outlook on flight! :smartass::helpsmilie::pilotfly::joystick::mad:

im pretty sure the laser code is set in the tgp (targeting pod display) in the control page

I believe it could carry a combination of at least 10 HVAR and up to 1000lbers on the wings and up to 500lbdr on centerline and or drop tanks. I have a book around here somewhere that said the Bazooka launchers were phased out somewhere around the time they switched to the D-11 from the razorback versions. from what I have been able to find, I was wondering the same thing. The Jug is probably my most anticipated module, that and the Hornet, good times are coming!

:book: I have been hooked on Bunyap's you tube videos of spit ops in Normandy leading up to and during D-day, and if the campaign is anything like them, it's going to be really going to be something special. I cant wait:joystick::thumbup::pilotfly:

that would be deemed a "high order detonation"

buy it, its a great, fun module. you wont regret it
-
make sure there is no cockpit mods installed you may have forgotton about

Give them a chance, Jeez. Everyone wanted a ground radar and they gave us Viggen. I like the idea of reece flights, have a mission made just for Viggen maritime recon. so the same capability in The 'Cat is gunna be a blast to learn and use in combat, and if the Lantrin was not availible in the represented airframe its not because they don't want to include it, it just simply is not included in that block of aircraft. we would still be getting two aircraft for the price of one, and they are still WIP so we are all just going to have to wait and see what is "up Cobra and HB's sleeve" on the issue. I for one have no doubt it is going to be another outstanding module,;)

Time Range for WW2 Mass Bomber Formations
Andy1966 replied to Gault05's topic in Military and Aviation
also I have read of thousand bomber raids with 900+ fighters escorting , when the lead bombers were over Berlin, the end of the bomber stream was still on the ground in England! seems to me they said it was approx. 4 hrs. to Berlin in a B-17 -

on the ed homepage click on E-shop, at the bottom of each listing is the minimum and recommended hardware is listed. the biggest thing is make sure you have enough free space on the drive (30gb) and current video card at least dx9.min. 8gb ram is min. its a little challenging sometimes. is DCS installed and wont run, or will it not install at all? if it wont install at all, drive is most likely to be full. if it installs but wont play, suspect gpu not up to spec -
I had a dream last night.... It was really cold at 4:35 in the morning.... the last of the bombers had just took off about 30 min ago and I taxi to the end of the runway....I line up my jug with 3 500 pounders and rockets...do a really careful run-up.... then I'm rolling...rudder... careful ...keep her straight.. gear up... then the alarm went off and I HAD TO GO TO WORK:megalol:

Take off after landing tail wheel issues
Andy1966 replied to imacken's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
yes, and I have slowed down the throttle curve on all the piston aircraft and it helped a lot also, much more finite control -
Id buy a Thud module ASAP

The BAR was very effective in combat. Read Audie Murphey's bio To hell and Back. Been awhile since I read it but, he talked a lot about his bar man.. the problem with it was keeping it cool, 3 round bursts..

to get bonus$ you would have had to buy another module or map, Etc. to get the 20%. a new player that has no bonus $ can still get a discount with pre- purchace, and get bonus $ also( If bonus $ are applicable)

How to use Dora's energy advantage over Mustang?
Andy1966 replied to Istari6's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Hello, sorry it took so long to get back. yes that's the general idea. get above him, offset so you can see him below you. roll over inverted and locate him out the top of the canopy. don't stay inverted too long as the engine can lose oil pressure after 10 seconds or so. roll back over and you should be pointed at him in about a 60-70 deg. dive. any steeper than that and you are too close. make 1 pass, and keep going level out keep hi speed, and gentile climb. you can also chandelle, but that's another story. just remember that 1000 meters a min climb is almost 3000 ft a min, and the pony has trouble climbing that fast in a sustained way. the dora can ACELLERATE while climbing at 1000 meters a min if its not too full of fuel.the idea is to keep him under you and slower(because he is either evading you or climbing up to you) wash ,rinse, repeat. by the way a Chandelle is basicly a climbing split-S trading energy for alt, max climb pull up do 1/2 loop and roll level at top heading in opposite direction, another useful maneuver, I believe the 1\2 loop roll out is actually an Immelmann Chandelle s just basically a climbing turn -
that's what I did also made the world of difference,I learned that with Mig-21

when I first started with the shark, I never took over 50% fuel at first, and kept the weapons load low as I usually crashed before that anyway:joystick: :music_whistling: its a very powerful chopper, you gotta be easy with the controls and slow the axis' curves down (espically the collective) helped me be a lot smoother on the controls

;) Or shoot at bomber formations with a battery of 88's
