  1. Hello and welcome back. Myself personally, use standalone, much less problems, you cant access, Normandy, or early access products on Steam either.
  2. They speceficly tell you in the manual to not idle below 900 rpms(if possible due to hi oil pressure if below 5 deg.) and open coolers( they wont work below 750 rpms because they are hydrolic). I will read again to be sure, that's from memory. the engine management is Quite complex yet simple. the coolant wont get to the rads. if you idle too long at too slow rpms. To T.O., I use 11:30 prop and 1.25 ata you shouldn't need full power to takeoff. she heats up quick if you are not moving at least a little (taxi) or facing into the wind before T.O.
  3. Its still Alpha WIP, there are plans for grass runways you can place anywhere and make an airfield. I personally haven't tried yet, its still Wip , its in the editer ,patience grasshopper
  4. click on "new loadout" then bombs will be there
  5. AMD here too, I set my NVIDIA to default, perf. to max perf. set my settings ingame to low, then med, then hi, running hi stock settings now, seems much better
  6. check in main menu and make sure its enabled. it seems to me there is a check box for F10 map view.
  7. Install them one at a time, i.e. Normandy_terrain. then WW11-ARMOUR after
  8. there are so many variables in air combat, "It depends" is the phrase that comes to mind. The idea is to use the advantages if your aircraft to exploit the disadvantages of your opponents aircraft, the variables being energy weight, load, alt, speed, etc. Tactics change as the advantage/disadvantages and variables change. Know the capabilities of your aircraft, and your opponents aircraft, and it still "Depends" on pilot skill. we may be surprised how deadly the Tom is in the Trans sonic range due to the sweep wing? or it could be a brick? other a\c experiencing mach tuck first etc.? will be interesting to find out.
  9. Is that the hype train I hear?:lol::lol: choookachuggachoookachugga whoooowhoooo chookachuggachookachugga

    What else?

well said Chief, and I would believe if someone bought ED/TFC then they could tell them how to run it
  12. Thank you much BigNewy for that info. I was really sweating if my ssd had enough space, as I've got about 25 gig left and still have have 30 free gigs. I have 56 gig total free so im good to go.
  13. if it slows down at a given weight, then your going too slow, and most likely the engine will overboost and/or carb temp will increase and cause detonation. If the A/C is going fast enough to support the loss of horsepower, as opposed to the gain in thrust from the increased prop pitch speed will increase
  14. wellsaid
  15. main menu, check and make sure that "random failures" is not checked afterburners are kind of funky also, there is an airspeed and RPM limitations
  16. back to the topic Buy it. learn to fly it. you wont be sorry. it likes the rudder. burn aft fuel first. It's like a pony with a big block, and an awesome weapons package.
  17. pitch and roll dampers must be on and takeoff trim button must be pushed also
  18. yea that's kind of the way I see it. a way point should be a way point right? just plop a humvee or a command vech. with a beacon and your set right, but you have to have the correct frequency though
  19. I don't want to quote anyone, but I thought ED were entertaining the idea of a mission editor option to be able to choose the year of the mission. Remember, still very WIP, and not sure of NavAids
  20. Ever been to New England and seen the rock walls around fields? they acculmulated over the years as farmers cleared one field, then another and pushed the stones and debries to the edge. don't know for sure as I've never been to Normandy, but could be the same type of gradual clearing over centuries.
  21. It's going to be interesting when the P-47 is available yes it will. the first time a jug dives in from 10 or 12 thousand feet AND turns with a 109 while he's being flamed then helplessly watching the jug zoom climb away will most likely cause a change of tactics on the axis side
  22. All I can say is wow! the detail is incredible, must be going pretty smooth, as not many complaints in the thread.
  23. set it where you want it, then press rt alt+0 I believe it is, am at work at the moment
