  14. Hi all, I found a really good website that has a wealth of p-47d data, t.o.'s and flight test data. not sure if data is for -35 or not, so not sure if it will help or not, but should be wirth checking it out. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-47/p-47.html
  15. is the need for p-47d-35 wind tunnel data or flight test data? or schematics and engineering data?
  16. the camber on the wheels is meant to keep the A/C straight (or at least help to) it takes a little more power to get rolling as compared to a pony, go to f2 view and look at the angle of the tires compared the pony, its meant to compensate for the narrow undercarriage the spit is the same setup, just takes a little getting used to
  17. Good job! any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Welcome aboard much fun and learning to be had here and it keeps getting better
  18. OMG!! That is an awesome locomotive and staff car! a harbinger of things to come
  19. hello no, they were day fighters so they weren't equipped for night flying, although the instraments made it doable at dusk, etc.
  20. the biggest thing to remember is that once flaps and gear are out, you have much more drag, so you loose speed and have to add power. my biggest problem is while Im lining up with runway, I loose air speed then add power too late and the plane goes out of control because I'm too slow. practice, practice and practice some more ,and don't get discouraged because its a blast once you figure it out
  21. any new map is a good map IMHO
  22. F6 weapon view is a blast. did I say cluster bombs?
  23. the delay seemed to be modeled in 1.5.3 , haven't tried since updated all the way down on the right side seemed to give a 2 second or so delay, hard to judge just how long
  24. Hello, the start procedure I use: 1: all switches off 2: battery and fuel pump breakers on, run one pump till pressure gage stops rising (about 1/4 of gage sweep) then 1 shot prime. turn pump off. (she seems to flood easy) 3:f8 and f4 to have Chief run starter, while starter is coming up to speed, turn on mags, ignition ,crack throttle slightly. 4: when chief yells "clear", pull starter handle until engine fires at least 3 or 4 times in a row then release starter, if engine quits firing, pull starter handle again as this will close booster coil switch for mags. for a hotter spark while starting 5: when engine is running, quickly turn on fuel pump, generator, warm engine till temps start to rise. Hope this helps Andy call sign "root"
  25. awesome vid. I never knew they did trials for p47 carrier launches, nice find
