In comparing again I guess I like that it seems to blend colors a little better.Not as harsh looking although you can see it takes away sharpness of lettering. pics are off and on.

Compare pics with it on and off. I compared with P-51 and its noticeably better with it on. Its kind of like the HDR setting we used to have that changes how warm the colors look I think.

You could stand to lower your gamma setting a bit to darken things up.

Knowing your specs and settings would help. If you're new to a 2.0 version of DCS one thing that causes most people issues is a high MSAA setting. Try MSAA 2X and turn off some other eye-candy settings and see how it runs.

If you have 2.2 installed the 2.5 install will copy maps and modules and then download everything else. You should make a backup of your Saved Games folder before you start and then you can drop your old Config file into new install as well as missions, loadouts, logs, and skins if you stored them there..
