Mig-21 has Grom missile that works for anti-ship.

FW-190 has 6 instant action, 3 single missions, 5 mission tutorial, and a challenge campaign.

Surprised there isn't anything like this yet. Would be nice to have wall sections in short and tall, straight and curved for building basecamps or artillery positions or whatever.

Must've deleted pic of settings when I ran out of room. These are my settings for 2.2. For the most part happy except with having to turn shadows down and MSAA only at 2. Started off with in game MSAA off when any amount of MSAA killed performance but now it seems I can get away with 2X. With 1.5 I use MSAA 4X. My specs are I7 6700K, GTX 970, 16gig RAM with 27" 2K.

I think I'm gonna make a backup of Saved Games folder just to be safe. I would think if you have 2.2 already the installer wouldn't make a new default saved games/dcs openalpha folder but I'm not sure.

The 88's cause this crash. I get same crash in mission I'm working on. Swapping out 88's with something else gets rid of crash for temporary work around. First 2 tries I got crash but no crash on 3rd attempt after switching 18's for 38's. Someone else did report this. Great mission Reflected. Destruction zone and smoke columns looked cool and I like the variety in targets. :thumbup:

It takes a long time to trim it. In my picture it took 4 seconds to move it from 8 deg. down to 2.5 deg.

Windows C. / Users / Your Name / Saved Games / DCS Rename and if game works you can transfer controller configs./downloaded missions back in.

Its really as simple as choosing one or the other. Stand alone or Steam. See other post where I tried to clear things up.

According to todays newsletter no current versions of DCS will update to 2.5. Whatever version you have will be used to copy modules over to the new install though. The simplest way to avoid confusion with stand alone or Steam is to buy modules where you downloaded DCS. Many of the older modules can be bought on Steam and transferred to stand alone but that's something Steam should be making clear and no stand alone module can be used with Steam. Your statement implies you think Steam is the only release version(live). There is a release version for stand alone and Steam.

I think they're working on an effect that allows precip. under clouds only so you can fly in and out of rain/snow. Hopefully new cloud system allows for making more realistic cloud formations and creating isolated storms.

Have you tried repair after removing mod? ED just changed a lot of sound effects. Maybe this mod got broke with changes.

I use the mini joystick on my CH throttle for rudder on helos and props.

Keep in mind the Maverick lock distance depends a lot on how much the target stands out from background. On snow or in lightly colored field you get quicker lock than grassy terrain where targets blend in more. The 65D (IR) usually locks 6 or 7 miles away. 65H (CCD) usually less than 5 miles. Just keep pressing TMS fwd short until you see the crosshair start jiggling.

Normandy can only be installed in 2.2 open alpha. Try updating 1.5 install and plane modules should work there or download 2.2

Digging into it a little more it seems most agree they called it a fighter because of START which limited amounts of bombers US or Russia could have or conceal its role as an attack plane. I know I heard the fighter designation was used for recruiting pilots. I guess they figured make that a sales pitch.

I heard they used F designation to lure test pilots into flying it because most pilots want to fly fighters not bombers or attack planes

Is your monitors display settings {ratio,resolution) the same as in DCS?

I always struggled with descending smoothly before. The more precise collective is making landing easier for me.

Do you have additional drivers from Nvidia installed? 3D Vision and Geforce Experience can cause problems.
