So this is happening yes??? What if we started a request thread for potential liveries on the P-47D release? My first vote: the 365th FG, 9th AF. the Hellhawks were formed in May 1943, commenced operations in Feb 1944, flying the P-47 as ground attack a dedicated unit supporting Courtney Hodges' 1st Army and assault on the Wehrmacht. The Hellhawks were a dedicated ground pounder unit under Gen Pete Quesada, but even as mud movers scored against Luftwaffe aircraft regularly, over 121 kills, giving better than they got. %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/L9vJzgV.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/ZZsaDFs.jpg[/img] I'm also a huge fan of these guys too, the 509th FS, 405th FG. Super awesome !!! %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/b1W5GhO.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/pLgSkSY.jpg[/img]

Syrian and Afghan theatre of operations confirmed!

And the "potential" part was Wags saying that they built it in such a way as to be easy to add on new/expanding portions. -
Sounds and vibrations during taxi and take off/landing
Robert31178 replied to HWasp's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Ok, so I am not a pilot, but having let that out I want to say that I am not sure how much "liveliness" a small jet like a fighter would display? In my mind you would have wing flex in the air under G, but the planes are built for high stress and I imagine have some rigidness built into them. I also know that early jets had to have little vibrating thingys installed in the gauges to make the needle read correctly because of how smooth jets and jet propulsion was. Any chance we are being overly critical as interweb aviators? -
This will be a great fakey pairing with Harrier for the late 90's Kosovo campaign once Tomcat hits the streets!!

I like weekly updates personally. not too often so that you are like "well yeah, thanks" and not too long that you are all "WTF feller!".

"The reliability of the F-16 puts that to bed!" Sure, except if you read any bios or auto bio's of USAF guys who have had to fly across a "pond" you'll always come across blurbs about them worrying about an engine failure before reaching an island outpost base, or sour tankers/bad probes, and imagining noises from underneath because they sweated their one engine crapping out. GE makes a fine engine, but the ol' two vs one argument still stands...IF you are cross oceanic AND your only engine fails you're swimming for it.

No, I was suggesting it be used for that lol.....so ipso facto exactly!!

Falklands? Alright, yeah, neato one hit wonder of a map. I'm rooting for a Med WWII map, or Afrika to compliment VEAO's eventual(?) P-40 release, or maybe something Pacific to go with our upcoming Corsair and A-20, along with our Hellcat/Zero mods. Or possibly even Vietnam?? Please give us something please that offers something other than Mirages vs Harriers. ~S

DCS: SA342 Gazelle Complete English Cockpit Mod
Robert31178 replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I just posted on the Gazelle thread for this, I have v1.3 working just fine in 2.5. Post #7: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3459403#post3459403 -
Hell a -4B would be just a perfect match for the Sabre and MiG in some Korean stuff eh?
-
Any chances of a gnarly Corsair vid???
-
Man I had issues with Devrims English cockpit, and low and behold it just started working for me one day lol....true story. I'm using v1.3, here's what I have working on my end: 1) I use JSGME, I have set up a JSGME_MODS folder in the main / root directory, NOT saved games for this one. 2) Turn it on. 3) Leave everything in specials to default. That's it, works just fine for me. I turn it off before I update, then I turn it back on and my English cockpit is always right there waiting for me at the door, wagging it's tail furiously.....everything with the new updates on Gazelle is also working fine with the mod so far as I can tell. ~S

Prolly a good thing lol that Sabre isn't around. My KDR would be atrocious.......

He meant Boeing, who owns everything now lol. I disagree with what he said though, no point in flying older planes on squad ops. I fly the F-5 to success on some ops, taking a break from the Huey - no RWR, moving map, autopilot, radar, and most certainly not a great thrust to weigh ratio lol......NOTHING but my MK1 Eyeball and my experience - I fly Huey all the time and rarely get shot down by flying to its strengths. You can absolutely be successful in the modern battlefield in old iron if you fly smart....in a sim anyways.

Thanks James lol....I had a mouthful of beer when I came across this. I tried to clean my monitor, but I still see "bogeys" every time I go up!!!

What about comms for all to chat with each other? TS? SR? UR? I'm rdy to fly!! Side question, are F-86's in it??
-
If a helicopter lands on spot one does that count too?

"In 6 months to a year, the Mirage is going to be surpassed by the Harrier." Perhaps..... I'm with Kayos - think about what you want to be flying. Reading between the lines it feels like he more or less said "what you want to do in the sim, then make your decision." If you want a cool toy get the Harrier or wait for one of the other cool toys, if you want a completed module there are plenty finished ones to choose from that are neither of these. And for the cool toys, I bought the Harrier over the Mirage because when completed it will be a superior mud mover when put next to the Mirage. It's no Warthog, but the Warthog is no Harrier either, if that makes any sense.

Wow......

Yo!!! Thanks for the generic!! It's PERFECT!!! I also just saw the helmet, it's great!!! Really nice work!! Pics from the ME, loaded up the historical and generic side by side, lovely!! Question, are all of your planes going to have both generic and historical, or was it just this one? Curious, not a request. %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/PYlKVbV.png[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/Nw8JwUN.png[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/PuZ2lHm.png[/img]
