  1. You can guess by bringing up the HMD display. It will eventually display things like FLIR FOV, Closest friend , DONORS, OTHERS and FRIENDS. You will most likely not be able to do a whole lot more than marking a target point.
  2. You mean - we should have less of Syria for more of Israel which wouldn't change the gameplay anyways? No thanks.
  3. They still haven't
  4. Keep in mind this laser is also dangerous. I don't want that kind of laser pointing anywhere near me. It's also a safety thing.
  5. How can this be marked 'CORRECT AS IS' , if my bug report (which is also a result of the hud designation being super hard to control), was marked 'REPORTED'? It was improved a couple of months ago and then went back to being very jumpy and hard to move accurately. There's an issue with slewing the designation point on the HUD itself. Curves won't solve that, and your equipment doesn't matter. It's something in the code. I was using only my keyboard here, just to demonstrate there's something wrong with it:
  6. Contrast is defenitely implemented. It is working only in night mode, as should be. For day mode ou should adjust GAIN.
  7. He means the FOV/ FLIR switch, when MAV is displayed this switch will work f r the MAV only regardless of TDS priority. That's intended behaviour.
  8. That's how it looks like in real life. It's a nice change :)
  9. You do have a time keeping device in the IFEI, which can display ZTIME regardless of HUD status. Also, the option for LTOD on the ufc is used to set LTOD, not to display it on the hud.
  10. Never. It's not a thing in the real jet.
  11. ED recently made the JHMCS and NVG two different entities. You can't have both on the helmet at the same time, which makes sense. My request is to have the change represented in the pilot model. We already have an argument that allowes removing the JHMCS from the 3d model. It was already used by some livery makers to make liverie of squadrons that didn't have the HMD. I think it should be applied when you ask the crew chief to remove your JHMCS or set it up in the ME. When no JHMCS is available, you shouldn't still see it mounted on the helm. If you really want to go the extra mile, add the NVG model and have the pilot move it up or down as we engage it.
  12. Auto manage the stack? I don't think so. It's just the way it is at the moment with the EA ATC. It doesn't work very well in MP.
  13. My best guess is that you are grouped in the ME. In my mission all planes are separated, and those issues never happen. If that's not the case, I have no idea.
  14. Everytime NATOPS mentions designation, it's clear that the HUD is one of the methods. As Harker stated, it can also be used to help update the INS.
  15. With the laser armed while agm65e is selected, press and hold weapon release. The TGP will then begin to lase and keep doing so until shortly after impact.
  16. The TGP automatically fires the laser for you. You don't need to manually lase, or to box TRIG at all.
  17. It does sort of work. If you use the UFC to enter a valid value after selecting LTOD, it will change the local time of day accordingly. If you enter a value that is invalid, it will reset the seconds back to 00. I don't think it should.
  18. NATOPS doesn't really mention it as a possibility. It does state ZTOD (or ET or CD, as they are mutually exclusive) will be displayed on the HUD, and that LTOD is used to set local time.
  19. Thanks for the update BIGNEWY. The briefing room is a welcomed addition! Can you share some if the plannes features for the briefing room in the future? I guess it's not just a model of the room with no functionality. Additionally, most of us would appreciate an update on the ATC more than anything else, especially in multiplayer.
  20. A/C sub menu is also partially implemented, and doesn't give accurate info (wind is one example). And speaking of the HSI, what about the HSI related HOTAS commands? The one that cycles HSI and SA is very important in my opinion.
  21. Why do you have to increase the wind that much to get it to pitch?
  22. Not the most efficient way, especially in combat, but just TDC depress on the DT2, and it will make it the new and only L&S
  23. From NATOPS page I-2-13: External Transfer Caution Display. On F/A-18C/D aircraft, an EXT XFER caution display on the DDI indicates that external fuel is available and should have transferred. The caution is also displayed when external fuel is available at BINGO and FUEL LO. What's wrong in DCS: At the moment, it doesn't take the fuel quantity in the tank into account. It will immediately pop EXT XFER when you set any external tank to STOP on the EXT TANKS panel - which is the correct behaviour. However, it will also do it when the tank is completely empty - which is wrong. EXT XFER empty tank.trk
  24. C/F means chaff flare mode, which is very vague. Since we don't have access to NTRP, it might be good to ask ED about it.
