reported earlier HSI WP drift - the bug has returned
BarTzi replied to BarTzi's topic in Bugs and Problems
This will also cause all sort of abnormalities with TOT, WPDSG and so on. -
Hi guys, I just wanted to report that this bug: Has now returned. You can use the following links and tracks attached to them to recreate this. Essentially, the plane is pushing the WP's icon away from it's original position. Additionally, The heading needle is moving the waypoints away from the sequence as you fly overhead.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
BarTzi replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Give them 5-8 years It will make it to DCS eventually, one way or another. The Legacy hornet was released for DCS not too long ago, so it's just unrealistic for ED to unvail the Super out of nowhere. -
Are you sure the default round in not SAPHEI already? Anyways- this was taken in 2006, and the plane was loaded with 500 SAPHEI rounds (the writing is lcoated right and slightly down from the 411 number on the nose), so I think we should have the option.

You don't have to practice that much, you just have to practice the right thing, which is formation flying.
-
You are missing the point. You have been playing music for 35 years. You can master pieces that are harder to play because you have the experience and because you keep practicing. OP hasn't seriously oracticed AAR. OP is basically asking you to build him a self playing guitar for him to hold during his gigs.

reported earlier How the "GSPD Entry" work in conjunction with TOT?
BarTzi replied to nickos86's topic in Bugs and Problems
Here's a track showing it in action. It's a two waypoint sqeuence, so you can speed it up. You will notice that hitting WPDSG changes the required speed presented by the HSI (in this case by 5 knots). It seems that without pressing WPDSG on time, you will not get accurate information in your last leg. I'm not sure why WPDSG makes a difference here. wpdsg tot.trk -
Non- tracer rounds. You can easily see that: 1. It doesn't look good. 2. It doesn't look real. https://imgur.com/PFVQlCK https://imgur.com/kt77Ac8 https://imgur.com/hIuRu9l

In this timestamp, you will see two strafes of pilots from VFA-83. The muzzle flash in those strafes is less noticable than in DCS (in DCS it sometimes even hides the lower portion of the HUD). I think the smoke is fine, but the muzzle flash in DCS at the moment is too excessive. Can it be toned down?
-
Not intentional, but PB logic was shown by Bignewy today.
-
Well, since it wasn't a thing is real life I don't see why it should make it into DCS.
-
Depends. Does DCS have a Super Hornet? Because legacy Hornets were never used as tankers.
-
To be implemented at a later date.

Gonna have to be blunt here. A2A refueling in DCS is easy. It's easier than getting a good grade from the LSO, and defenitely easier than case III in bad visibility conditions. You shouldn't ask the developers to add what essentially is a cheat code, just so you can accomplish something that isn't mandatory at all. Also, where's the fun in doing aerial refueling only with the assistance of the game itself? Some thought after reading your post: 1. You didn't practice enough, or didn't really practice at all. It's not as rewarding as getting a bomb on target, so people neglect that or quit in frustration and shoot the tanker down. You seem to think that if you can land on the aircraft carrier in DCS, everything else should be easy. It's not the case. 2. Not everyone tries to avoid refueling.. I do it every chance I get. It becomes a very simple task after a while. 3. Can you honestly say that you can reliably do formation flying? Because AAR is formation flying, and most people I've met who can't AAR, usually don't do well when it comes to formation flying in MP.

You can change the GAIN level for the air to ground radar in MAP mode, but can't do the same while using GMT with INTL boxed. gmt gain intl.trk

wilbur81, even if we wanted to help- the attached pic provides almost zero information. The F10 view doesn't really help us understand what was going on. You should provide an F10 view when the missile go active. then we could (sort of) try and figure out what went wrong.

It can intercept other misiles \ glide bombs, as can some other types of sam batteries.

later in early access AGM-84H not available as weapon for player F/A-18C
BarTzi replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in Wish List
Not implemented yet. -
There's no need for it, unless you are willing to pay for a Finnish version. They will make a digital UFC when they decide to model the Super Hornet.

What are we even talking about? This is what you said: "under the current setup, multiplayer is only with individual pilots leading their own solo flights". This is entirely wrong. You can setup a flight of multiple clients as a group of up to four aircraft. You can also set the lead of that flight to be AI, and the rest as playable slots ('client'). This is done via the mission editor. If you fly a mission that is made of individual pilots leading their own groups, it means that the mission maker CHOSE to set it up that way, not that this is a DCS limitation. However, the thread you linked leads to a completely different topic: having the ability to manually set up groups after the mission has started, like in the A10C. It's a different thing entirely, and obviously - a welcome addition.
-
Shouldn't it have like 10NM visibility anyways?
-
What do you mean? You can have a human wingman (it's been like that since forever). Each group of planes in DCS can have up to four members, and all of them can be flown by human pilots. The mission maker might change it so that some groups have only one member in them. In that case, you won't be able to have a wingman that appears in the S\A page as a part of your flight.
-
That's not correct. They only go solo if the mission maker set it up as a one plane section. I second your request to set up your own section/pair after the mission has started, like the A10C.

Nothing misleading in my opinion. Which part isn't true? there are vapor effects, and there weren't before the Hornet was released.
-
This statement is true. New effects were indeed developed for the Hornet. It was the first aircraft in DCS to feature over wing vapor and rain over canopy. It does not say they developed new effects to replace the ones we currently heve.
