I am having a problem with the Aiming slew rate being so minute within Combined Arms ONLY. It takes me 15 swipes of the mouse (Left to Right) to move it 90 degrees. Same matter with going vertical. The mouse DPI is set perfectly for everyday Windows 10 use and for moving around in any of the Aircraft cockpits for all the modules I have for DCS. For some reason, when I get in any of the views for any vehicle, its almost useless to try and aim at something. I have been doing Google searches, looked into the Combined Arms Keybinding options and searched for topics on this matter. I have not found any discussions. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

Got it now thanks,,, Banjo Vid really helped alot for sure,,, so did my search for "Smoke Marker" in the manual. Thanks, null

Thanks for both of those responses, I will check them out in a couple hours. What are you referring to when you say: " just go into the mission editor and scroll down all of the items and see what's there." Are you referring to all the icons on the Left side of the Mission Editor or are you referring to the drop down options in the trigger menu? Man, havnt seen a vid from Banjo in I dont know how many years, that was in deed helpful. Thanks

I appreciate the feedback, but right now, I have no smoke effect at all because I dont really know what to set for each of those categories. I mean, I tried last nite for a couple of hours to get something to work, but nothing worked that I tried from trying to put pieces together from what I have read and watched. Thats why I am dropping back and punting in hopes someone can advise of what to enter in each option.

Sorry to have dug up an old post, but I have been searching for a couple of hours, and this is the only post I have found that is most relative to my question, but it is very outdated. I am simply trying to put smoke on a target area just for target practice, and I just want it constant, but I wouldnt mind knowing how to have it turn off once targets are killed either, but primarily, I just want it to stay on. I put a Trigger Zone on the map (Smoke 1). I do NOT have much time fiddling with the Mission Editor other then what I have watched on Youtube as of yesterday. If someone could please advise as to what to enter into the (3) columns (Triggers/ Conditions/ Actions), I would appreciate the help, thanks. null

If they would just put the darn info back on the top tool bar, problem solve for what I posted for!

Since this appears to now be reasonably functional, the question I have is,,, is it better to use this in Radar Altitude Hold or Barometric IF your intent is to hover? Im not asking about while cruising, thanks
-
Well,, thanks for looking into it, hope the next choice is better received, thanks.
-
Most people would agree with that, so you can actually see the info.
-
Um, where do you see the "Distance" in such a format? Thats the point of this thread
-
In alot of my experiences, it wouldnt have mattered where on the line the info was, it would still have been difficult to see
-
Yeah, I just Rifle them all from the Pilot seat, I never switch to front seat.
-
Since 2.8, when in the F-10 Map and using the ruler line to get Distance/Bearing, the information is no longer in the top bar? Its on the actual line and most often obstructed and unreadable. Is it possible to get this info back at the top so we can read the info? The example below is not a good one as it is readable for the most part but I just wanted to make sure it was understood what I am referring to. null

I cant speak for that specifically, but can only offer a suggestion. I just let George find and laze for me, then "I" select the Hellfire and Rifle. I have taken shots at just below *9980 and have hit successfully as long as the target is not obstructed and I am holding a nice steady hover so George can hold the laser on the target.

fixed Damage Issue - Tail shot off but tail rotor works

LOL, I thought it was just me. Same thing happened to me 2 days ago, I flew for another 20 minutes or so and depleted all of my hellfires and went back to base with no problem except a tad of difference in the controls and I lost one of my radios -
2.8 loading textures takes a loooooong time.

Viewing the Task Manager, I am seeing the Ram hit max of 22 Gig of 32 Gig Ram, and up to 98% CPU while loading the cockpit when I enter the Apache slot -

Same here! -
Yes, that thread is relative, thanks

I certainly hope it "helped" to upgrade your GPU, it would be pretty sad to spend about $2500.00 just for a bump in performance. Was it worth it? I hope so!
-
I can, Im in the same boat, and Always dump FXO and Meta Shaders, and to be more anal, I actually do a deep repair after all updates. The Apache load times are painful. I sit there and watch the building blocks populate, sections at a time. As a matter of fact, I cant even look at the F-10 map while the Apache is loading because it wont render the graphics until the Apache is completed its loading. Its not just occasional either. This is new for me right after update.

Excellent explanation guys, thanks for the clarification. Understood!

I am in the process of learning how to enter coordinates in, in this manner. I did watch Redkites video as well. I have not yet attempted to apply any of this yet, and I have a question. In Casmos vid above, at 7:12, Casmo is receiving coordinates from laser source, and the source states the coordinates starting at "CX"? Why is he not calling out the "37T" 1st? Would you expect to get the entire readout when receiving coordinates from anyone? Thanks,

Thats an interesting dilemma! Especially if you cant finish the mission unless you use a Hellfire to finish the job (not sure the rockets would qualify?) I will be following this one. Maybe its a fault of the mission design? Interesting!
