    New Fule Dump

Yeah unless your over elementary schools then It’s fair game.
  2. What if your scenario is set in the 80’s or early 90’s, how useful would the ground radar be?
  3. Yeah don’t include the ground radar that’s a great idea. You know if they just cut out the rest of the open items they could just call it complete.
  4. Nobody is saying that it isn’t a challenge, but we’re saying be honest with your customers as to how your plan is going. We would all like a more realistic plan and dates instead of an overly optimistic plan where dates constantly slip. I believe the internet is great because unlike before you can patch games relatively easy. The downside to that is unlike before companies can release products in a state that would of never came to market years ago. I understand this is early access so it’s a bit of a different animal but today’s model is really built on consumer trust. We trust these companies to do what they say in the future and in turn we pay them up front for an incomplete product. I feel my trust at least in ED is eroding.
  5. I don’t know how ED is structured and what different teams there are but what I do know is they said no developers from the hornet would be used to make the viper and that turned out to not be true.
  6. I don’t have a ATFLIR document but I also didn’t sell someone software promising to recreate it either. How do you know what information they are working with? You’re not saying that is the reason for the lack of progress, but well that’s exactly what you’re saying. I don’t think that the complaining does any good, but I certainly think that people should voice their displeasure if they want to. We all put money into this product to fund its development and so it’s not as if we are just some passers by. I agree that dcs has a lot of great features and most days I’m playing them and not on the forums, but we’ll have to agree to disagree that we shouldn’t voice our displeasure.
  7. Negativity or reality? I don’t agree with rudeness and I would imagine that most of the criticism doesn’t get to the actual developers anyways. Truth be told the developers just do the work that the project managers lay out but I believe the term here is just a catch all for anyone that works for ED. I’m all for setting expectations for an early access product, but the truly frustrating part is the mismanagement of resources. As someone who is a software developer in my professional life I understand the process for doing so. Releasing more and more modules to pay the bills while sharing resources between them is a losing strategy and not being upfront about it is dishonest. Nobody here is telling them how to run the company but being more transparent about the (lack) of progress would be to their benefit, after all they are making software for customers. While I don’t agree with rudeness I also don’t subscribe to acting like a battered wife. We payed for an incomplete product with the expectation that the product would eventually be completed and have every right to after years be frustrated with the lack of progress.
  8. I grew up 15 minutes from “Top Gun” the then at the time NAS Miramar. Pretty much everyday while growing up I saw two ship F14 formations flying out to missions or back from. Driving down the freeway it wasn’t uncommon for them to be practicing carrier landings and fly over your car at 50ft.
  9. I thought the purpose of keeping them swept was to act as an aero brake during the break.
  10. I never received an email about the t-shirt. Was it for all pre-orders?
  11. Both are good arguments. Why not just switch to the back seat and do it? I get it though, the whole point of a RIO is to split the workload and when you have to do both it's kind of pointless.
  12. I find the double ltws a real pain when the enemy is close and things are changing rapidly.
  13. Are any of you using rudder curves? I use MFG crosswinds and if I breathe too hard the turn coordinator ball goes all over the place.
  14. I believe it's only the formation lights, no?
  15. I thought the heatblur aim 7 was different than the ED aim 7, am I wrong?
  16. Who finds April fools day amusing? Is it just me that hates it and thinks that it's stupid?
  17. I've seen it move when on the take off roll.
  18. Both or just the roll for acm?
  19. I believe it does. I’ve been sweeping it back with the button and then pulling the handle up at 68 degrees and when the light goes off moving back to over sweep.
  20. Oh I just sweet it back manually via the throttle button and then over sweep after I clear the landing area.
  21. Pretty cool, but how often do you use the emergency lever?
