  1. I’ve been able to do it in single player. You made sure the arm the seats, right?
  2. How can I tell that he has them locked up and what are you doing to get him to see the contacts? I flew around for a while at different altitudes and aspects to targets and he only "saw" them when we data-linked with an E-2.
  3. Can anybody give me some tips to bvr’ing with jester. I am only getting radar contacts on the repeater when the datalink is enabled. Any tips to directing jester to be more useful?
  4. I would like the jester menu to be red when the cockpit lights are on. It kills night vision big time.
  5. When refueling. "OOOO You're teasing it, just stick it in."
  6. I was worried about how a two person crew would translate to essentially a one person plus. Jester works awesome in some situations and not so well in others currently and I hope it gets to the point where he recognizes the situations and acts accordingly. When things are happening quick it’s hard to tell Jester to do something that a real rio would just do based on the situation.
  7. I was on board with the other YouTube “personalities” getting copies but at this point, as a paying customer I’ll agree with the others that it’s annoying.
  8. I just go to the FPAS page and increment the waypoint to the highest possible number.
  9. It’s reminding you not to land with your gear up. Lots of planes have this warning.
  10. Just like the AB detent button, I believe that this would benefit from an option to adjust where it sits on screen for play-ability. It may not be true to life, but either is using a track ir in a hornet cockpit. Currently this isn't something that translates well from real life to on the computer in my opinion.
  11. I've had this same sound issue happen to me yesterday as well. I would agree that it isn't very encouraging seeing is this has been going on for quite some time.
  12. Watching some of the videos out there using jester ai got me thinking. How much of the things being set by the command wheel would a real rio just do? It seems like there is going to be a fair amount of micro-management going on so my question is are we actually doing both the pilots and part of the rio’s job by using jester ai?

    JHMCS

I don’t know if I would say annoying but maybe distracting would be the right word. I have never used a real one but I would assume that the actual implementation was made to add functionality to natural head movement. I find the (aiming?) cross super distracting and it actually takes away from my SA because to me the head movement to use it (with my track ir curves) is odd and unnatural. It’s almost as if I spend more time focused on the cross and it’s position than I do focusing on things or targets beyond the JHMCS symbology. Hopefully that makes sense.
  14. Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for.

    JHMCS

I love the functionality of the JHMCS but I hate using it with my track ir. I feel like for me it doesn’t translate well from reality to at least my setup. Does anybody else feel this way and have remedied their issues. I honestly would rather leave it off at this point.
  16. Uhhhh? No.
  17. Does anybody know what patterns Navy tankers use around the carrier. What altitude and where are they at in relation to the carrier in both day and night time operations. Does anybody know?
  18. You could always fly the A2A simulations B17. It lacks combat, but has a clickable cockpit.
  19. I thought the radar range could be changed based on moving the target designator on the radar screen towards the 12 o'clock and thus off screen? My understanding is that it is just not implemented yet. Am I incorrect?
  20. I've seen it a few times. So much drama. I prefer the Discovery's Carrier: Fortress at sea.
  21. I turned them off years ago and haven't looked back.
  22. Instrument Carrier Landing System and Automatic Carrier Landing system. I hear ACLS is more accurate as it takes into account the ships speed. My point being neither are ILS for landing on airstrips no matter how much some people argue for it.
  23. I don't know why this is so hard to comprehend. The DCS hornet is the US Navy's version of the Hornet. The US Navy's version doesn't have ILS. It's that simple.
  24. Happened two updates ago. You have to select bearing checkbox and the unit in the dropdown.
  25. The hornet doesn't have ILS. just ICLS. ICLS has channels just like tacan, not frequencies.
