  1. No idea about the rest but I replaced a dodgy pink switch on my Wathog with this: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/toggle-switches/7347139/?sra=pstk It's definitely of higher quality than the OEM but was a direct swap.
  2. Bug fixing at Razbam - moving bug reports to the resolved section.
  3. New weather system confirmed.
  4. +2019.
  5. This caught me out as well - the mission editor references TAS (True Air Speed) rather than IAS (Indicated Airspeed) so you need to adjust for it.
  6. Gazelle...should we just list the modules that don't?
  7. Please tell me how to "overcome" missing features. Not complaining about the AV-8, just your useless analogy.
  8. Figured out what the problem is but I'm not sure how it happened. Looks like the "windowPosition" parameter in the ScratchpadConfig.Lua was out of whack. I put the coordinates to x=0,y=0 and I could see the window next time I started up. The lua is in: C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config
  9. Does this still work? A couple of nights ago mine and a friends stopped working - I can see the mouse cursor but no window.
  10. "Reading the manual" is watching Top Gun, right?
  11. My bad, I haven't read your request properly. I agree, it's surprising how few "special for joystick" type keybinds exist given MANY of us are using toggle switches as part of our HOTAS systems. Big +1 from me.
  12. Nice.
  13. You're looking for the "Modifiers" menu - select the "Modifiers" from your screenshot, if I remember correctly you can select keybinds in "Shift" or "Mode". Shift initiating a shift state only while you hold the key and Mode initiating a shift state until you press the key again. Apologies if that's not 100% accurate, I'm not looking at the screen right now but it should get you where you need to be.
  14. Mirage is great and has some excellent single player content but if you plan to go online for PVP, you're going to be hurting for some of the goodies the Hornet offers. Hornet.
  15. Spoilers!
  16. bummer, appreciate the update though.
  17. Possible bug: I noticed on the Caucasus server the new KC135 MPRS are being used but neither me or my wingman were able to contact Texaco or Arco on comms using the frequencies in the briefing. This used to work with the KC130.
  18. I haven't had this myself (and I've had the F-5 for years) but I have witnessed my friend fly off the taxiway into the grass a couple of times during startup - he's only had the F-5 since Christmas. First time, I thought he'd done something stupid and I think he did too. Second time, there's something weird going on.
  19. *mic drop* I think it's going to be brilliant, one day, but right now it's a frustrating experience because of the above.
  20. Completely agree. I think this will be largely resolved when ED implement VOIP, which is something I'm sure Wags mentioned as a 2019 goal. SRS is a fantastic tool but unless you're on blue flag and on GCI frequency the airwaves are dead - most people just don't bother.
  21. You can disable menus altogether through VIACOM but I don't think a paid 3rd party application is a reasonable solution. It would be nice if this was looked at.
  22. I was playing devils advocate a bit and I agree with you. The pilot model doesn't matter to me but I understand it might to others. What I would like is more variation in player, ATC, AWACS, flight and JTAC in general - more male and female voices please. For clarity, I have absolutely no problem with woman in DCS, whether that be models or audio, but when people ask for features in the name of diversity instead of in the name of "this would make the game better" people (me) can't possibly take the suggestion seriously. I hope that's an eye opener for the people who cried bigot at anyone who disagreed with the OP.
  23. I put the precise amount of effort in that the OP did, which is to say, none. Had he/she formed and shared a single thought around why they would like female pilots in DCS and in what form that should take I might have been as generous as some of the other posters here to share my own thoughts on the subject. Strange how you can draw an arbitrary line between gender and sexual preference - why is one reasonable and the other "bullshit"? If the argument is "equality!" then every inter-sectional group should be represented and, of course, if anyone disagrees they are a bigot.
