  6. With this multithreading update, I have noticed an issue where the ground is invisible, however only inside the cockpit. This is due to the fog settings in the mission. It appears that the fog is completely opaque in-cockpit, so it covers up the terrain. Here is a clip: The issue was resolved when I removed the fog from the mission. Fog issue.trk

  9. Correct, the command files are just used to insert the backup files for each configuration. The Outboard pylon configuration is currently the default, so you shouldn't have to touch the files if that's how you want to roll.

Reference this video as an example of how strike missions against integrated air defenses can be conducted: Desert Storm seemed to have set the standard for how modern bombing campaigns are conducted, at-least by western powers. At 13:24, there is a reference to "Pubar's Party", an engagement that involved using TALDs and other decoy drones to bait SAM operators into turning on their radars, only to be destroyed by a follow-up SEAD mission. These tactics translate well in DCS, especially with Skynet. I would think that these strategies would be necessary in order to defeat modern S-300 and S-400 systems.

  13. Mini-Update for v2.1 is Live! This patch brings enhancements to the Growler 3D model, changes to the textures and roughmet, and an improved AI SFM. This new SFM should fix many of the odd AI behaviors that have been present in our mod since Open Beta 2.8 introduced the "smarter" AI system. Make sure you completely uninstall any previous versions of the mod before installing this update!
  14. Nice! Have you thought about introducing more modern Russian SAM systems, such as Buk-M2/M3, Tor-M1/M2/M2E/M2DT?
  15. Thanks for the report! We'll look into the wheel issue. We may also be able to edit the burner texture a bit, but I don't believe we can use the same design as ED's FA-18 unless our modeler is willing to make necessary changes to match.

  17. Update v2.1 is Live! This patch updates our mod with the newest ED FA-18C changes, includes a series of bug fixes, as well as a new script that will allow the user to choose between which pylon configuration they would like to use on the FA-18E/F (v1.8 or v2.0 setup). For more details, refer to the README inside the _Swapscripts folder of our mod. The SRS patch has also received an update, and should work in multiplayer environments without Easy Communications Make sure you completely uninstall previous versions of the mod before installing this update!   18. Considering F-16s are using triple rack mavericks, this should be a given ED. The argument that sufficient evidence is lacking doesn’t stand up after the conversations in this discord, especially considering the dual rack JSOWs have been implemented. Dual GBU-32s should be implemented.
  19. Version 2.8 brought some nice adjustments to the max radar detection ranges of the F-15C, and M-2000C. Given that the the Radar Doppler à Impulsion on the Mirage is considered to be relatively comparable to the APG-73 on the FA-18C, will the Hornet see an increase in detection range in the future?
  20. From some of our perspectives, the older 2.5 version (v9) of this smoke mod portrayed the most realistic smoke, but then the 2.7 update changed the core smoke features. Is there any plan at ED to update the smoke to make it look more realistic, and less think/chunky? Currently, if you bomb a tree-line, it lights up in a massive fireball like an oil depot...

Hello @currenthill, this isn't the most significant detail in the grand scheme of things, but I'm wondering if you plan on creating low-poly destruction models for your assets, similar to default assets or High Digit SAM mod? Modern conflicts include an unimaginable amount of destruction, and seeing that in-game really adds to the realism, as grim of a thought as that may be. Attached is an example of a Russian convoy that got ambushed by an NLAW team and Mr. HIMARS. Thanks again for your outstanding contributions!
  22. Thanks you for your contributions to the community! I've noticed the GMLRS and ATACMS rocket motors are engaged all the way to impact, is this intentional?
