  1. Custom radio messages are not logged on the kneeboard.
  2. Correct jets with live munitions face the nose towards the berms.
  3. Make sure you place your INS knob to IFA once the alignment QUAL reaches 0.5 OK state.
  4. Reference new manual, that isn’t required.
  5. Have the same encounter in my current attempts, 4 missions in and thought I was missing something (maybe I am still). I’m not a mission planner person, never used it before. I’m not seeing anything on it to target. So I spend a lot of time wondering around aimlessly hoping a SAM goes live. Weird thing when I’m not carrying harms (once) I did see one active site. Still learning the design to how this should be flown.
  6. Reviewed the tacview and the carrier group made a 180° turn, at that point is when things went crazy regarding the pathing. Perhaps a different formation for the battle group is what will prevent it.
  7. Just started the campaign this weekend, this happened on my second mission (first combat sortie), and again on the 4th mission. I don't know at what point the carrier and the second ship set out on a collision course. Made for a tragic demise on my CASE III attempt, as I bolted when the hook bounced. No track as I forgot to save. Mission code: EEGFD if it helps.
  8. I am in VR, so my kneeboard is a little different thanks to the interactive VRK kneeboard. I have the following on most flights: Mission Data Card if applicable Any mission important doc, eg target recon images Aircraft Checklist / Emergency Checklist Weapons Checklist Inflight Guides SIDS /STARS (FLIPs) Cheat sheets for Vaicom CAS (check-in brief, 9-line cards Calculator
  9. Fuel weight is balanced forward and aft and would not cause any issue. Since we don't have imbalances in the game naturally, and OP isn't carrying any externals, a normal FWD/AFT fuel split will not cause a drag left or right.
  10. Move it, just grab it and place it where ever you want.
  11. Game install directory /Mods/Campaign/Raven one/Docs (exact name may sightly be different, not at pc) Each mission has a brief and a kneeboard document. Also the kneeboard docs are on your in game kneeboard too. Lower right corner of page one kneeboard has the ICLS data
  12. I know I’m extremely late to the party. When you virtually die, your logbook resets. However the data is still there and can be edited to be useful. You just need a little code knowledge, and change some values to get the dead pilot alive. Another option is instead of ending mission after a death, select exit to desktop from the esc menu. If on the debrief menu press the option “close”. Definitely don’t select the far right option “End mission” on the debrief page if you had a death.
  13. It has been a minute since I have had TIR installed, so bare with me in regards to terms. In your normal play time (meaning time of day), place the TIR software into camera mode. In this mode the TIR software will show you your IR signature. Check for false IR signatures, and correct any that are present. Usually this is sunlight or sun reflecting off of something in the background. Second move your head in full range, that you would in the cockpit. Maybe have DCS running so you can reference your cockpit view too. Look for any disappearing IR signatures from your clip. The IR light should remain present through all ranges. Worse case follow along with Jabber's video.
  14. I wish I could legally bring every naysayer on to the base and show them first hand the lack of wiring capability. Even with Scape's detail post, weapons are the ones who have to gut the wing's weapons wiring prior to removal. I think he has more than enough credit, I've tried explaining it in less detail as I don't know the specifics and one misspoken word causes so much drama.
  15. Glad to help anytime. Tackling a sim can be intimidating, just need to take it in bite size chunks until you can master it all. Good luck with the Viper.
  16. 1: Make sure your Trim/AP Disc switch is in norm. 2. Make sure your Air Refuel switch is closed. You should not see a Blue RDY light in the right indexer that is right next to the HUD while flying. Unless you intend on refueling and opened the door. My bet is item 2 is the cause of both failures as a aerial refuel door open prevents A/P function and the external tanks from pressurizing.
  17. Create a short track with no mods showing the discrepancy and post in the bugs section.
  18. Seen it a lot in the last few weeks, don’t know why. I don’t believe it is operator error.
  19. I like it for the variety in the missions. The A-10RF was just go blow stuff up, because BRRRTT. The Viper RF has you doing SEAD, Strike, CAP, etc. Never a boring mission, and I'm only to mission 8.
  20. I don't mess with the mission planner at all. What I do is reference the coordinate information in the Campaign Docs, specifically the strike detailed page, which gives the exact coordinates for the target. I know it will be after the marshal point which is highlighted on the marshal page, usually waypoint 6 or 7. I then cycle the waypoints looking for the those coordinates. Lazy lady way of doing it, but I'm in VR and don't spend a lot of time in the menus while VR.
  21. I think you mean 4/6 but we already discussed that a few times already.
  22. ED gives us a jet that is never been down for maintenance. Therefore the switches are always set for flight. The only time the cockpit switches are off is if a jet has had maintenance performed where power and cockpit entry is made. So the aircrew checklist is designed to cross check all the switches in case maintenance had the jet. The CM-1 checklist reflects the same as mentioned in OP.
  23. I see the same issue as well. We always need someone to look at F10 and call a HACK if we have a TOT critical mission. Two jets can ramp start and have two different times on their systems.
  24. This is just like the A-10 HUD issue that took years to fix.
  25. The viper wing fuel tank pylon should jettison (has been reported to ED), pylon is permanently attached to the tank, and when E-J or S-J, the whole assembly is jettisoned. Link with image of an external tank with pylon firmly attached, although very blurry. http://www.newson6.com/story/5e35b42883eff40362beebcf/tulsa-air-national-guard-f16-jettisons-fuel-tanks-over-grady-county
