  1. The 1760 cable that isn’t installed in 4/6 on a real F-16 that allows for smart weapons to communicate to the jet is also the cable that feeds the 65, 38s. So if we have 4 88s, we better have 65s, and every other smart weapon in 4/6....just saying.
  2. Ground external power shouldn't transfer externals, unless bleed air was applied. Same with just running on A/C Battery, the externals shouldn't transfer until the engine was on. I'll admit at this point, we are getting into the weeds of the system. The F-16 fuel system is one of the most complex systems on any fighter. To model is 100% accurate would be beyond what we need as flight simmers. The original post was to highlight how to get fuel into the externals during a hotpit scenario by opening AERIAL REFUEL. Which is the same way pilots IRL do it..
  3. Fuel MASTER has nothing to do with external fuel tanks. It is the control for the Main Fuel Shutoff Valve, which shuts off fuel flow to the engine. Way down stream of fuel transfer from the externals. The only things that should prevent the externals from transferring are AIR REFUEL door, AIR SOURCE, and TANK INERTING So if MFSOV is having an affect on the quantity, that should be reported but not ground breaking bug.
  4. I love when someone taunt their years of working the jets. So since we went there, I have over 20 years on the F-16. It is not possible to over wing the 370 gallon fuel tanks from just the nose cap point. That was the point I was trying to make. The 370 gallon tank is sectioned off in three parts. The spill over tube which allows fuel from the nose to go to the aft section sits above the lowest point of the cap opening. So no matter how gingerly you operate the refueling nozzle, you will not fill the entire external tank via the nose cap. In order to accomplish an over the wing one must use all the points and fill each one individually.
  5. It is working just like the real jet. If there isn't enough room in the internal system, the internal will fill and shut off the refuel before the externals take on a full load. Since the internal and externals takes on fuel at the same time, the internal needs to be low enough that externals fill before internal. My comment was an assumption that one is attempting to refuel a nearly empty jet after a flight on a hot refueling scenario.
  6. Only problem is that you will not have fuel going to all three sections of the external tank that way. The nose spill over tube is too high for an over the wing refuel of all 370 gallons. You would need to fill each section individually. Otherwise you will be bathing in JET-A. Just open the aerial refueling door if the engine is on. It's normal operation and that is what the procedure is during HOT REFUELING
  7. Just a guess but sounds like you have a stuck key some where. I would suggest looking at commands and see what is assigned to Weapons Release (Pickle) on the HOTAS category. Pressing the A/A on UFC wouldn't be the culprit, but what is happening is you're activating the A/A mode, and the (stuck?) command is sending the fire.
  8. I believe the "Allied Flight Reports" does the same thing. Could be wrong though, been a minute since I played with it off.
  9. Probably a typo, but those are block 30s not 50s.
  10. Reference the F/A-18 Manual found in the game directory example: /mods/fa-18c/docs folder. Look at the Airfield VFR Landing chapter, including the image diagram. Otherwise check the forum for the campaign discussion.
  11. Your issue is you left your aerial refuel door open. Note the door is visibly open in your external view, and the BLUE RDY light is illuminated on the right indexer. So slightly different issue, I don't think the jet should go for a bucking bull with the door open. However there are limitations in place in the -1 that covers the door and when it should be opened and closed. Regarding the pitot heat, the switch in the cockpit is designed for on the ground icing. Once the jet is in the air, the WOW switch enables the heater regardless of the cockpit switch position.
  12. What exactly is the goal with an over-g of any suspension gear? I am curious what the simmers would want to see in an over-g scenario.
  13. Correct. Unsure at what point the rest will be available. Source: Chuck's Guide, cross referenced to official Viper documents.
  14. They are not made of rubber, but are made of plastic and occasionally find some wooden ones.
  15. Wings First is for when three bags are carried, as it is named when in wings first the external fuel tanks transfer before the centerline. If it in NORM the centerline feeds first.
  16. The FWD and AFT Reservoir are the main fuel supply to the engine. External wing tanks feed the wing that it is attached to, and the centerline will feed both wings.
  17. Upload a track, maybe you're doing something wrong on takeoff. From there we can determine whether it is a bug or user. FWIW I don't have any slow gear transitions, or stuck gear.
  18. This needs to be moved to the bug reports page, as it is should be a bug and not a wishlist item.
  19. Did you activate the switch again? Once NLG strut compresses on landing, press and hold switch, speed brakes will fully open to their 60° angle.
