  2. Very long shot in the dark here, but for everyone having issues with SteamVR crashing. Do you also have error code: 157 "Disk # has been surprise removed" in your event viewer/windows logs/system? Additionally in Device Manager/ Disk Drives do you see "Xvd"? Internet research shows this is a virtual disk drive by Microsoft, for XBOX Game Pass games. Which I do have a few games via that. I'm curious if others have the same chain of events, as I get a random game pauses which matches with the timestamps that the "Disk # has been surprise removed". On some of those pauses, is when SteamVR crashes. I have uninstalled the Game Pass games, and the XBOX app for now. The virtual drives have stopped showing up and disconnecting randomly, and my DCS isn't pausing. Didn't do a long flight to see if SteamVR was stable. Have that on schedule for tomorrow evening. Over 2 hour flight and no SteamVR crashing. Very likely the issue at least on my end.
  3. My user name was =Panther= and for some reason it now has a string of numbers added to the end? I would like to get my original username back please.
  4. Read the note from 6 Feb 2003 on this link: http://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/airframe-profile/3090/ Airframe Details for F-16 #90-0718
  5. I know you meant "THREAT" but just in case some don't recognize the typo.
  6. So you will need either ED or someone smarter than I to create a custom key command like: AA/NAV AG/NAV. Maybe look at the MASTER ARM logic and see if you can figure it out, to replicate it for a MASTER MODE switch.
  7. From a sister, yes best software purchase for the hobby. Always updated, and it works. May have some kinks, but you can see from several pages that it a hot topic that doesn't go unanswered.
  8. Sorry I replied quickly, and didn't notice I made a confusing reply. There is only one volume control for the missile.
  9. I just experienced that this weekend too. Had no issues on any other tabs. Made the calculator impossible to use. I do plan on reinstalling the tablet drivers, just in case it’s a culprit but that won’t come until next week some time. I just went to Windows 10 build 2004, and wonder if that is causing some issues as well, I had put the update off for other issues.
  10. So the super sensitive trim is overly super sensitive, am I understanding that correctly? Does that mean that we may actually be able trim it out at some point down the road?
  11. I haven't watched the track to see if audio is there or not, however check your helmet volume and audio output in DCS just in case.
  12. I'll add my system to list of having issues with this. Been suffering for about a month or so with no solution, as my pc isn't on the Windows 2004, still on 1909. For my scenario, I'm not doing any interaction with views, just parked in my jet cruising along when I'm greeted rudely with a Rift S going black, and desktop saying SteamVR shut down (sorry exact phrase escapes me ATM).
  13. Something to consider, you can created shifted commands within DCS. I'm sure there is a tutorial on it somewhere on the forums, or maybe on YouTube. In short, I use my paddle as a modifier (shifted function). So my HOTAS on the top layer, functions as it does in real life (with the exception that the aircraft I'm flying may not be the Hawg), but with the shifted commands, I can do things from the HOTAS that you can not do with the HOTAS IRL. For example, if I press and hold my paddle and then press WPNS Release it will jettison my stores. If I press paddle and pinky switch, it will eject me. Now you're probably thinking why have an ejection on the HOTAS. Well, pressing paddle and pinky takes some effort, and it will not accidently be pressed. I have many other shifted options, quite a list to go through. Just wanted to share the idea, as you can create zoom on the shifted function if you need too. I have zoom in VR on a shifted CMS switch.
  14. There is no such thing as a "G limiter". The jet can pull way more than 9, I personally pulled 9.5 with ease in RL. Seen upwards to 10+Gs on some tapes before. Possibly, but I don't see how that would change the flight handling, for aerobatic handling. I am not a OFP / flight handling SME so I can only read and interpret what I can.
  15. Wouldn't know the answer because the "books" don't speak of it for the obvious reason.
  16. No. The F-16 the Thunderbirds fly is no different than a combat coded F16 in regards to flight handling. There is modifications that are done e.g. removed gun system and replace with oil system, route smoke plumbing, remove JFS doors, and a few other mods, but it will not change how the aircraft performs. For example, this year they had a gray F-16 that they used for the better part of the season for training, and media rides. That F-16 was a loaner from the 64th at Nellis, but it is now in paint to be a full up red, white, blue F-16.
  17. You can fly any mission from the mission editor.
  18. Here is the same Thunderbird pass from onboard, with the G counter overlay. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=704569116658746 sorry it is a social media link, Mace doesn't upload any to Youtube.
  19. 1.16 Posting of images, file links, file sharing links, and copying and pasting information is prohibited if the source document is from a classified or ITAR controlled source. When posting aircraft, sensor or weapon information more recent than 1980, you must also include the source of the document showing that it is 100% public and verified as not from a classified or non-ITAR controlled source. To not do so will result in the removal of the message. Posting information from a classified or ITAR-controlled source will result in the message being removed and a 20% warning and one-week suspension (dependent on warning level).
  20. IIRC AI has never fueled their externals, I'm referring to all aircraft AI, not just the F-16. Previous discussion The Viper has no method to stop fuel to the externals during refuel, without ground crew assistance with a lockout device.
  21. Saw the HObIT on the jets that were in Vegas a few weeks back.
  22. The stored alignment still works, plus you shouldn't press spacebar until you are ready to taxi. Saint doesn't move until after you press the spacebar. So the mission is waiting for you to start, if you press spacebar prior to be being ready, everything starts in motion.
  23. Check that you didn't map it as a modifier, that will override the disengaged command.
