High CPU usage with the Ryzen CPUs in DCS 2.7
kotor633 replied to GTX2660Ti's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Pooh, I'm kind of relieved that it's not just me who have the problem. I also noticed that DCS draws from the full here. I am currently so far that I wanted to exchange my CPU. I currently play a lot with the Mi-24 and am a pure single player. And that's when I noticed with the ready-made instant missions that I always notice short, small jerks here. Not massive, the fps don't drop noticeably either. But it briefly disrupts the flow of the game. A Ryzen 5 1600X is installed in my arithmetic servant, RTX2070, 48GB DDR4, SSD and .M2 (only DCS runs on the .M2, nothing else). I claim the hardware is not necessarily the worst. I also set the page file to 16GB. And I also constantly test with the Nvidia settings and the settings in DCS. But I never get a result that is completely satisfactory for me. What is now satisfactory is debatable, I know. -

Hallo @all, habe die Posts mal überflogen. Kampagnen in DCS betrifft.

Hi@all, Although we were informed early on by ED that the Mi-24 & AH-64 Apache would be available, it was clear to me from the start that I wanted the Mi-24 in any case. As much as I think the Apache is great: It doesn't come close to the Mi-24. And I don't mean avionics by that. Of course, Apache is superior here. But that's exactly what scares me from adding Apache as a module in DCS. I like the 'Russian' simplicity better. I'll wait and see how Apache develops in DCS. If it can be controlled just as smart as a single player like the Mi-24, I might hit a sale sometime ... Until then, I'll be enjoying the Mi. In addition, the Mi-24 simply has its very own charm. Only the sound caused by the Mi sounds 'brutal'. I also find it unbeatable how versatile the machine is. And not to mention the armament ... I'm glad and grateful that we have the Mi-24 in DCS! I just wanted to get rid of that here ...!

The target was an OH-58. And it was within reach to take it from the sky with ungided rockets. I had set the switches to automatic and sync was active. It was shown a green and yellow light in the panel. But i hadn't heard an intrusion tone. Also, there was not a text that Petrovich locked on to the OH-58 (shouldn't that actually come?) Is there something else I don't understand correctly?
-
Hi@all, Have any of you ever managed to get an enemy helicopter out of the sky with the new 9M220O? I tried AI Petrovich, he didn't even lock the target. I think it was up to me, maybe I had forgotten something. But i think that the update yesterday brought really huge advances. Generally and not just for my beloved Mi-24. Just great!

Thank you.

And that's exactly why Google can l**k my ass ... Ah, I hadn't thought of mudspike at all. So far I have always downloaded your great guides here in the DCS forum. Thanks for the hint!

Hi @ all, @Charly_Owl: Why do you need a google account if you want to download the Chuck's guides? Wasn't that necessary so far?

DCS: F-14 Development Update - Bounce, Burble and Orbits!
kotor633 replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I just watched this video about the Jester AI Lantirn POD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk45yiXvqjk I think what you have thought about and implemented is simply terrific. That makes the F-14 VERY interesting again for me as a single player. Simply awesome, thank you! -
REQUEST: Please update it to include A-10CII
kotor633 replied to P4I3L0's topic in A-10C 16-2 Red Flag Campaign
Hi @ all, I just sent Bignewy a message and asked him the following: Does ED plan to make the Red Flag campaign available to the A-10C Tank Killer as well? If so, is there a time frame until when we can expect it? I would be very happy about a statement from you on this topic. His answer to that: At the moment it is not planned but I will pass on your feedback to the team. You just have to address people directly, then you know where you stand. -
??? DCS BS2 Flight Manual EN.pdf, page 169. “НР/АКС” selector. Unguided rocket and gun pods ballistics data settings. ??? 3 – S-24 heavy rockets. Not used

Possible to have a 2nd version of campaign with F-14B?
kotor633 replied to PD919's topic in F-14A Fear the Bones Campaign
Oh really? Which direction will it go: Zone 5 (trimmed for realism) or Fear the Bones (Hollywood Style)? -

Hi, Even if it's annoying that there have been so many changes lately for the M2k (and for the Harrier): I think it's great that you adapt these modules accordingly. I feel that my interest in the M2k has increased significantly again Thanks for that. But it would be good if we could finally get a corresponding manual. It is well known that Baltic Dragon is there. What is the status like there? Is it possible to estimate when we can count on the updated manuals? Or would it be an option to publish the manual as of now and then, as with the FA-18 or the F-16, to receive a gradually updated manual again and again?

The 'old' pilots looked like something out of a bad horror movie. Nice job PC, thanks!
-
Of course, pilots can turn their heads. How did you get this strange idea that they couldn't do it? I wanted to say that the zoom level is designed to be very generous by default. And is that, in terms of realism, a bit far-fetched. Or is that possible in RL ...?
-
Yes, that would also be a good addition. But it would also be desirable to allow more realistic values for the range of motion of the head.

[DCS ISSUE] Missing pylons for the Aim-54 in the Mission Editor
kotor633 replied to kotor633's topic in Bugs and Problems
You're right. That probably runs under the error 'is not so nice now but also not bad / not a gamebreaker.' -
Hello, Find the mistake Happened when you have mounted the Sparrow, for example. If you then want to switch back to the Aim-54, the pylons required for this missile are no longer added. It doesn't matter whether the A or B version of the Tomcat is used. And it doesn't just appear since today's patch. I have already noticed this error in previous DCS versions. I am currently using today's Open Beta.
