M-2000C or the new AV-8B? And why? Need help deciding
Johnny_Rico replied to Eule's topic in DCS 2.9
M2000 would be the choice I would recommend -
Just a quick update, we are trying out 1.5.8 Beta to see how it performs First issue is that over time the server dissappears from the list but the server is still running fine on the server ??? Direct IP connect: 94.23.215.203:10308

Something appears to be wrong with server reporting with the 1.5.8 beta 1. Launch DCS beta 1.5.8, go to MP screen you see lots of servers listed 2. Click new server set public server etc and start new MP server 3. On another PC start DCS 1.5.8, go to MP your server is listed there 4. Connect to server, all is well and it works. Disconnect 5. Wait several hours (eg 12), go to client PC start DCS go to MP screen , the server you connect to earlier is NOT listed 6. Connect to server host PC (using RDP, teamviewer etc), server is still running ok 7. On server host PC in DCS click disconnect, MP server stops and you are at MP screen ...... no server at all are listed?????? Is anyone else wondering why their server is not populated because it is NOT showing in the list

thanks Mustang I was kinda looking for something to display on a webpage what is happening on our server eg players connected , scores or other cool stuff
-
kinda , SLMOD will allow an admin to do this or you can create a mission list and in each mission put a trigger to end mission it should cycle to the next in the list

Windows keeps rebooting on cold start
Johnny_Rico replied to *Rage*'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You have removed the overclock and tried running at stock CPU speeds? Can you get it to boot into windows at all now ? If yes then try opening a DOS window as admin sfc /scannow ^ this will verify your windows files are ok or not That will at least rule out window having issues as the problem -

If your board is being intermittant I would advise that trying to flash the BIOS would be a risk not worth taking -

Power supply dead (?). How worried should I be?
Johnny_Rico replied to Elnocho3's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hmmmm where to start, I suppose the obvious, power supply or system fecked ? 1. Disconnect the power supply cables from mobo, drives etc and remove power supply from the PC 2. Replace blown fuse in IDC cable (kettle lead) 3. Get a paper clip or other sturdy piece fo wire and follow this guide If you power supply powers up and does not blow fuse it is probably OK If it does not power up or powers up briefly and blows fuse power supply is fecked How worried should you be, not too worried. Most power supplies have over volt/current limiting to protect what is connected to it from damage, if you are lucky the rest of your system might be ok. Saying that I hate a crappy power supply (seasonic) blow on me and it destroyed my entire system apart from 1 RAM stick XFX are a decent enough brand I have used about 100+ XFX power supplies in system builds in the last 2 years, never had one die how old was yours ? Side not, I hate switch mode power supplies, had to spend 6 months repairing them to component level before I moved onto more fun things to do diagnosis on -
perhaps they need a waypoint to where u want them to go ?
