Put it into stored align, not NORM, then confirm your coordinates per above. The countdown will start and go to 10 in a couple minutes, says RDY before that, but I let it go to 10 for a better alignment. Then switch to nav and all is good.

Yea, I forgot to click to INS and had to do it in flight. No coords or datalink info until I aligned. In flight alignment worked.

If you are just asking about Auto throttle, just assign the button to your hotas and when pushed it will keep your current speed. I use it all the time when flying lead, especially when in the stack (250 knots). Moving the throttle alot will turn it off.

I have not found a solution. I get this when dynamic weather is on. Fog as well, but not as noticeable.

If you are using a X band TCN it should show range. If you are using a Y band TCN, it only shows bearing.
-
I base ours off of the F18 FPAS page until we get the F16 one. Usually it shows best range is around 32-34K and Mach .82. Depends a bit on weather and loadout, but its generally in this area.

What Bonedust said is exactly what our squadron is looking for as well. And what statrekmike said is key also. The flying and systems are not easy to master, and toss in some unexpected bandits and/or SAM launches and it all goes out the window. So you really have to have the time and motivation to study and practice yourself so it all becomes second nature. The squadron can take you to the next level, but have the basics covered first. Be able to successfully perform all the DCS training missions for your aircraft. I have only done it for a few aircraft, but ED did a good job on them and you can practice them over and over. Plenty of good youtube tutorials to watch in between your flights. Flying in a squadron makes it much more enjoyable for me. Having good pilots that know the procedures and systems well, fly formation tight, know tactics, have great comms, etc just makes the missions so much more satisfying. Plus its a good tight community to spend time with. Well worth the effort in my opinion.

The new Moose Missile Trainer is now called FOX. It works great with missiles, we use it on our NTTR weapons training cycle. But it does not protect against guns. So you will still have to do immortal for live guns training. FOX will tell the person when they are hit by the missile and keep a record of it.

I have two separate servers running dedicated and they are running fine today after the patch.
-
Our squadron will be buying and using this on day 1! DCS just keeps getting better and better, this carrier module will really raise the bar.
-
You can rent a dedicated server from OVH or other datacenters. The PC will be high end but the real value is their access to an internet backbone to the datacenter. You may have 1GB internet service at your house, but the limitations of your home router and neighborhood backbone will result in less satisfactory ping level through all conditions. On the mission, it seems that moving ground troops and vehicles seem to have the most impact on frame rate. So you can use zone triggers to group activate units as you fly into the area to limit impact. DCS is single threaded, so it only uses a small part of the CPU. Nothing can change that. So I like fewer core, high MHz CPUs. Fast SSD drive is critical and at least 32GB memory.

I would make a new mission and try again. Don't add any scripts and do a simple mission with carrier and hornet only and see if it responds. I have not heard of problems with the carrier not responding. Now the lights don't turn on until a few miles away and they seem to be dimmer now then in the past, so I don't see the deck lines until under a mile now which is more realistic then the bright lights in the past.

Works fine for me, both using a WP and TCN. Make sure whichever you are using is boxed in the HSI. You hold the toogle switch over for a second so you can type your course line in the UFC.

Tacan stops broadcasting in multiplayer after a player disconects

The TCN disappears on us when someone quits to desktop. Since we started only exiting by going back to spectator and exiting at that point the TCN has not disappeared. -
Mine was 1 month, ordered mid-Sept, arrived mid-Oct. And I really like it also!
-
No. Only the Oculus Home running.

For me it was tacview. I stop recording and no studder every second or so. But some of my squadron mates have no issues with it. And I have a SSD and i7-9700k with 32gb ram.

SRS works good. Did you check here and go through the troubleshooting at the bottom? https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/wiki

After waiting since March for my Realteus seat and not getting any responses from the company, I ordered a Gametrix JetSeat from Andre. It arrived today (one month after ordering) and I really like it. It took about an hour to get the different vibrations the way I wanted through the Simshaker software. It really adds to immersion! I highly recommend one and buying through Andre if you do.

Videos are the best to pick up knowledge. Someone mentioned several, I tend to use Wags and Redkite when a new system comes out. The tutorial/training flights are also good in the game. Then the GAW (Georgia at War) servers are good to test them since its against AI and people on the server are usually helpful if you have a question on a system in flight.

After I installed (twice) v1.8.0, I am getting a stutter every second or so after flying for a while (only takes about 10 mins, gets worse with time). If I turn recording off, no stutter. I deleted the mod/tacview files and reinstalled but still the same. Any ideas on what is causing it? I had no problem with the prior version. I have not installed the prior version again to see if it is still stutter free. thanks.

As Preendog said you have to hit the reset button in the DDI to get the HARM to focus on the biggest threat when in SP mode, or cycle through them all until you see the SAM targeting you boxed. My guess is it was tracking a Patriot or other allied site behind you.

Radio Freq's in the \Saved Games\ folder please

The mission creator makes the freqs for each client plane, so it will be the same each time you respawn. Just ask whoever runs the server to change the freqs for the planes to what he is using in the mission so you don't have to change it. -
As Will said, after the F seeker head slews I undesignate to break it from the flir track and then lock as I normally would with the F.

We use Airboss in our squadron. It works great. Easy to customize. Join the Moose discord and go to the airboss section for questions. Below is a link to the Moose demo mission on Airboss. https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE_MISSIONS/tree/develop/OPS%20-%20Airboss/Caucasus
