What is you trimmer mode setting in Options/ Special/ Mi-24P ? Indeed the "Default" option doesn't have the delay. Use "return to center".
-
No, we don't have it yet. VitMax is quoting the Russian manual....
-
You can only take 4 pods...5 counters !
-
Please add separate controls for the front seat
jojo replied to MIlleratic's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yep, I was disappointed it was not the case -
Are you sure ? There are 5 counters, the central one being labelled only with 30...

At least you made a wise choice for your avatar

The South African upgrade by ATE uses a French GIAT (now NEXTER) F2 20x139 mm gun like the Rooivalk 800 rpm, muzzle velocity from 1050m/s to 1250m/s depending on ammunition. GIAT M693 - Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games (imfdb.org)

how to override launch storm atgm missile?
jojo replied to IDontLikeBigbrother's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Yep, demonstrated here -
You are saying that, but at the same time in the video of the real cockpit above, the guy is depressing the button each time he moves the stick, then releases it to set the stick in place. Secondly, you have 2 ways of trimming: the button and the hat trim. IMHO the Hat trim is much more accurate...

It can also happen if you are heavy and you try to overcome an excessive sink rate with too much collective, then the anti torque tail raptor may not have enough authority, even in “manual” mode. I don’t think it’s a good idea to compare UH-1 to Mi-24P. the empty weight of the Hind is twice the maximum weight of the Huey... Flight assistance systems are there to help the pilot.
-
For the weight, as I said above, they pretend that the avionic upgrade allowed such a reduction weight that it does improve hot and high performances. So despite the added bulk, this version is supposed to be lighter...but I’m not sure about that. The missiles options are South African laser guided ZT-3 Ingwe (5km)or Ukrainian Baryer (7.5km) I would say that the Ingwe looks like a Tow, the Baryer is on the picture above.

I would rather say in the box below the pilot's cockpit door Sand filters option... Double feed 20mm gun

I have: - Virpil WarBRD stick base = spring loaded - MFG Crosswind rudder = spring loaded too. I could mod the rudder to remove the spring and put an hydraulic damper, the rudder would stay in place. But I'm also flying jet fighters so it wouldn't be ideal for multi-purpose use. My current settings in Mi-24 special options are: - Central Position Trimmer Mode: after I press the trim button, I return the stick to neutral. - Rudder Trimmer: unselected I engage Yaw Auto Pilot after take off and use it for the rest au the flight, excepted for landing so far where I turn it off. To turn in flight, begin by small rudder input then roll input, increase collective to stay level. I do most of my trim with the HAT. On landing run, it's best to reset the trim after disabling the Yaw Auto Pilot since it's effectively trimming the rudder. The rudder neutral point will stay in the last place (left as long as you have enough forward speed) so you will need more input to the right when coming to a hover. I'm quite happy with my setting, I hope this help
-
I think the opposite And this video is pretty helpful to understand the Yaw Auto Pilot mode.
-
Thanks for the video. I see that they put gun pods on inner points and rockets in the middle. Currently in DCS with that kind of weapon load the rockets don't work. I still don't know for sure if it's a bug or like that in the real helicopter, and this simulator is an upgraded variant.

Click on the +/ Display picture = proper URL link This is an upgrade by South African company "ATE". Algeria and Azerbaijan were the 2 customers to procure this configuration. It's bulky, but it seems that avionic upgrade allowed some weight saving the end. The Super Hind Mk.III Could Be the Best Mi-24 Ever | War Is Boring

Maybe you're right. But it could also be a left over from Mi-8 code when they integrated the Mi-24 into Mission Editor. I didn't saw any "official" announcement, even for later date down the road. Maybe I missed it ?

Apparently the “DIAFR. OPEN” button may solve your issue. It’s kind of “launch override”

How to engage the autopilot - Auto Hover, Route, speed, altitude ?
jojo replied to pappachuck's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I did have some luck with Hover mode, but I had to try to achieve a manual hover first, then engage auto hover. sometimes the first try does disconnect, I just push again and it’s ok the second time. I have the buttons on my throttle, so it’s easier than clicking with the mouse. I managed to get HOVER + ALTITUDE, after finding the right spot it became very stable. -
GUV pod & rocket pod Hi, I can shoot rocket pods, I can shoot GUV pods, but it seems I can't shoot rocket pods when GUV pods are loaded. Is that normal and intended ? Thanks.
-
You can select in OPTIONS/ SPECIAL/ Mi-24P an option to trim the rudder too It’s true that it’s smoother if you move the control with trim button depressed and release it when the controls are where you want. Then return slowly the controls to neutral and the helicopter will remain steady. It requires a little bit of practice to get it right, and even more to get it right each time

Could we please have the option to fit the IR suppression system like the Mi-8 please ? https://www.airliners.net/photo/Germany-Army/Mil-Mi-24P/1238275/L Thanks
-
Yes please, add Pilot body in the cockpit
-
Yes, I would like GPS as an option too
