Most ramjet use liquid fuel, which is not really convenient, especially for storage. One of Meteor missile achievements is to use solid fuel for the ramjet, and it throttle it, cut it and restart in terminal phase. The main problem of traditional rocket propelled missile is that it looses effectiveness at long range since it's only slowing down. Anyway, both liquid fuel or solid fuel ramjet use a solid fuel booster to accelerate to ramjet powered speed. Off course a Meteor missile isn't designed for dogfight

Just to be sure there is no confusion: I'm not the one doing all this work

Actually it's really simple. Just put the velocity vector -O- inside [ on the left. It's both the guidance in pitch and altitude. If you're too high/ low, you have arrows to guide you inside the domain, this is shown on purpose in the video. No, you don't need IP to get that, it works too in direct CCPI. And yes, the interruption in the bomb fall line is the end of the impact string...at the moment when you start to squeeze the trigger. That was 6 months ago, and this is still what you can do today waiting for updated CCPI to be released. The new HUD will just make it easier

- Mk-82 AIR was added. Since French Air Force didn't use Snakeye, it's closer to what was in use. - You have guidance to get on the attack run at the correct height and pitch (= low and level). - use of RD to arrive on the correct course on the target. - you have cues in the HUD to tell you if you missed some setting on PPA. - on the bomb fall line you can visualize the first impact point and the last impact point of the salvo. So yeah, probably more work than you thought

On top of customization, I added radars associated to SA-2, SA-3 (Flat Face B, Fan Song, Low Blow) and AI Mirage 2000-5 (by ED) which were missing. M-2000C SERVAL (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Edit: V2.1 to update for Heatblur Tomcat

No, the real BLG66 has drag chute to separate from the plane. It's a high drag bomb released at low altitude.

Done ! Added missing SA-2, SA-3, P-19 Flate Face B searh radar and Mirage 2000-5. M-2000C SERVAL (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

Or just tell them to select ALCM option in M-2000C module options, no big deal. By default they will be able to start with ALCM. You can still enforce full alignment in mission editor as mission designer if this is what you want. Then in game the virtual knee board has an alignment page (as shown by felixx75)tell will them if they can do ALCM or if they need full alignment and the current position to enter in PCN. All the possibilities are well thought and already there.
-
In real life, ALCM isn't used that often. It isn't the default alignment method. After a flight, and plane will be most likely moved around by ground crew before the next flight. The most likely case is when a plane is put in QRA. They would make a full alignment, put the plane in SBY...and then for alert take off they would do ALCM to gain time. But that's about it. Normal operations = full alignment.

Sorry, but the jammer pod under the right wing isn't a Remora, it's a BARAX This Mirage F1 is using a REMORA Here is a good link, it's in Italian, but Google should help if needed http://www.loneflyer.com/2019/12/07/sistemi-di-guerra-elettronica-francesi/

Are you on Open Beta ? With DCS 2.7 the navigation system has been made more realistic. So now you can't disable the INS drift. It's about 1Nm/h of flight. M-2000C doesn't have embedded GPS. So let's say you have been flying for 30mn, if your M-2000C wingman just input target coordinates in navigation system, and he just aim at the + symbol in the HUD, he may be aiming 1/2Nm (1000 yards) away from the target. So he should update the navigation on visible initial point near the target area. Since you have TGP and embedded GPS in F-16, you can even determine an IP in flight for your wingman. Or he should be able to VID the target and aim directly at it rather than relying on navigation system. Yes, I know, this is more challenging...

LANTIRN/ATFLIR pods lasing drawing heatseeker missiles?
jojo replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in Military and Aviation
The SA-8 missiles aren't IR guided. 9K33 Osa/Romb Self Propelled Air Defence System / SA-8 Gecko / Cамоходный Зенитный Ракетный Комплекс 9К33 Оса/Ромб (ausairpower.net) There are some DIRCM systems using laser to blind IR missiles seekers, but it isn't targeting pod. They are working on laser systems to destroy missiles in flight...but it's still kind of Sci-Fi right now ! -
That problem is generally solved with a booster stage to bring the missile to the most efficient speed.

The weapon system is till WIP

Yes, when you contact ATC he will give you QFE in inch Hg. That's why you need to convert to hPa. If you depart and return to the same air base you will most likely not need my files. But QFE is different on each airport. To make it simple: - QFE setting: altimeter at 0 on the ground. - QNH setting: altimeter gives you airport elevation on the ground. But from the test I did, ATC only tells QFE on radio. We are lucky because this is what Mirage 2000C system uses for synthetic runway. If you want to land with ILS on a different airport than the one set in mission editor, then you will need these files.

Maybe a from times to times, but on average, Rafale will prevail. No plan for the moment. The question isn't "when ?" but "if ?" It's a joke

Up: correction of coordinates on Kobuleti.

Up. I updated the previous file

It seems to be before Mirage 2000 I upgrade program...

That's the funny thing, they put French Thales' TopSight I (and made in India) on MiG-29K, and Israeli helmet on Mirage 2000 I (Mirage 2000-5 MkII is the Greek variant).
