When you drop bombs you can can set the weapon system to single or salvo. When you are in salvo, can you set the bomb spacing interval ? I didn't find any way...
-
Yes, export models were fitted with RDM radar which was not very good in look down/ shoot down.
-
Hi, Great project, could you check your private messages please ?
-
Really nice, but they used to mount BARAX on the left and PHIMAT on the right
-
1- did the bomber used jammer ? 2- does Super 530F in game has HOJ ? I got this problem with Hornet and AIM-7 Sparrow.
-
It’s really weird. in my mission with 2 tankers, if I switch from 37X to 37Y, it keeps indicating range and bearing to 37X tanker. If I delete 37X tanker, it won’t indicate 37Y tanker. Others modules have no issue switching between both tankers.
-
I set up a mission with 2 tankers flying 3 Nm appart. I'm flying lined up behind the 37X tanker. M-2000C, Hornet, Harrier: I can detect both tankers in 37X and 37Y in T/R mode. Mirage F1EE, TACAN T/R, R Nav N: I can detect 37X but not 37Y.
-
To begin with, in DCS, tanker’s TACAN works in T/R mode. Good or bad, it is the way it is. How can you be sure it isn’t a mistake in mission’s briefing ?
-
For the record, I just tested with 2 tankers, one on 37X, the other on 37Y. Indeed, with Mirage F1EE the needle stayed pointed onto 37X, no matter X or Y selection. I switched the plane for M-2000C and it worked, it pointed on each tanker with correct range depending on X or Y selection. TACAN in T/R mode in both cases, I didn't try A/A. So the bug is on the module, not on DCS...

Only Morocco heavily upgraded Mirage F1 can use the Mica. But it’s a totally different weapon system. They managed to squeeze Mirage 2000-5 weapon system into Mirage F1…or sort of. It’s a different radar derived from RDY, not Cyrano IV anymore. And there is 0 chance to get data on that one…

Hi, It’s a minor issue, but also probably an easy fix. Super 530F seems to seat to far back on the rail. The tail section of the missile extend below the flaps. Here are real pictures for reference, it isn’t perfect profile picture, but you can see it doesn’t extend below the flaps. https://www.airliners.net/photo/Spain-Air-Force/Dassault-Mirage-F1EDA/804121/L?qsp=eJxtjrEOgkAQRP9lawpBIEgnFlZGC39gc7fAJchd9pZEQvh37yDRxm5mJ/tmFlB2FHrLc3YENXhCVj0k4JDx5aFeAA0rxlZuOE4tKpmYGOo0Tb5Jg96oHZAfitMvuNJI/D8KhKqsdshgxthdZHlaxOreir2gUGd5hjo8ecvSBAk6XM9KkRPSsN/vrOMe0OTVtruLrCxK4sfujmWw2ng34EYhQTPAun4ApG1TTg%3D%3D

I don’t know if you’re aware about that but, A/A TACAN works in M-2000C with other modules. Each should be 63 channels apart (for instance 12X and 75X) and you will only get range information. This is how A/A is supposed to work. In DCS World, tanker’s TACAN works like ground or aircraft carrier TACAN. This kind of small TACAN for air tankers do exist, but this is a late modern feature.

As @=36=Witcher said, this is an export variant. I can only assume, but the LASER switch is probably to arm the laser of the TGP. There is also a TV/ RDR switch on the VTB, probably to switch the video source. This PPA with laser switch and VTB with TV/ RDR seem to be standard on export Mirage 2000E, even if the country didn't fit TGP in the Mirage. For instance, you can find these switches on Mirage 2000EG like this VTB.

Should the M2KC be able to hold up against the Viper in a 2 circle fights?
jojo replied to cmbaviator's topic in M-2000
With the limited amount of internal fuel (3165kg on standard day) and the generous use of after burner, you can expect the plane to start up at 100% fuel. But "start up + taxi + take off" generally cost about 200kg of fuel. -
In my experience, if you let MiG-25 or MiG-31 at subsonic speed, they are disappointing. But if you set them at M2.0 or M2.5, they can give you a run for your money
-
Yes, that's what I mean. It doesn't seem to come as standard with TACAN in DCS. So maybe 3rd parties have go extra miles to make this work ?
-
Thanks, I didn't know, I don't own this module !

This seems to be a missing feature of radio navigation functions within DCS. While TACAN can't give bearing to a VOR station and a VOR receiver can't guide to a TACAN station, the DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) function is the same. So by using pairing channel, a fighter equipped with a TACAN but not civilian DME should still be able to get distance to a DME or VOR-DME beacon. I tried with both Aerges Mirage F1 and Razbam M-2000C, it doesn't work. I think it should be part of core DCS World TACAN simulation. https://www.flightsim-corner.com/wp-content/uploads/VOR-Frequencies-to-TACAN-Channel-list.pdf

Mirage F1 wing has negative dihedral to maintain high roll rate, like Alpha Jet. And the spoiler + aileron configuration was quite common on jets from the 1970's...
-
Half flaps on take off only if you're slick. Full flaps on landing.
-
For landing…TBH I need to practice more too. For the take off, I agree the nose is stuck down before 140-150kt even if light. But it’s early access.
-
But I like the possibility to work around by manually renaming the flights Also it seems that I have less CTD if I export the pages one by one, which is OK. You did such a good job for the Hornet that I wish it would work to full extent (bingo and joker) for each modules (like M-2000C and Mirage F1CE) It does compute Bingo for M-2000C, but I assume it to be Hornet values ?
-
Please, can you give us some news about ALT1 and ALT2 failures ? Because it's happening well outside of the manual's chart. If it isn't a bug we need more details about how to avoid it ?
-
It also retracts combat flaps if deployed So essentially, you have one command to arm/ deploy (depending on speed) and one command to disarm/ retract: both on the throttle. I agree it may looks complicated at first, but it's actually rather simple.

I would als have a small suggestion: I think it would be better to dissociate waypoint ETA and time on station like in Combat Flite. Currently your software combines both and actually only display adjusted ETA but labelled as TOS.
