  1. In this pdf you should find everything needed to set up ILS approach with synthetic runway in the cockpit. Caucasus map, Persian Gulf map and Syria map. Kneeboard file will follow...WIP Please don't hesitate to report incorrect data. Thanks FICHES ILS M-2000C.pdf
  2. Newer aircraft uses QNH or can use both. Mirage 2000C RDI is what it is...anyway, in DCS, AI ATC gives me QFE !
  3. Just for "tactical culture". IRL with BAP 100, they don't align in the axis on the runway, because if there is a gust of crosswind, all bombs can miss the runway. So multiple planes will attack in diagonal to cut the runway in different places. I think I read it in an article about Ouadi Doum attack by Jaguar Aagainst Libyans in Northern Tchad. In the first attack they cut the runway with BAP 100 while the apron was attacked by other Jaguar. On the second attack it was a Martel strike against SA-6 defending the airfield.
  4. The problem is that RD will guide you on INS waypoint which is drifting, not the best thing for accurate lining up on runway, just to get you close...
  5. For the synthetic runway the system uses the altimeter. On possible reason for this I can imagine is that the INS drift in altitude estimation too. After a long air defense mission in poor weather, it would be unlikely you would be able to perform INS update before landing with the tools available aboard the Mirage 2000C.
  6. From every account I have heard or read, it isn't the best feature of the plane, and it isn't really liked very much. It was probably refined for later Mirage 2000N and Mirage 2000D. But it is what it is. Don't expect "RNP 1" routing That being said, if you activate it from the previous waypoint, not too far off course, or should work fine to keep you on track... It's rather a "tactical tool" than "IFR tool".
  7. Waiting for the ATC to give QNH/ QFE pressure in hPa, you will need this table. And you need to set the altimeter to QFE to use correctly the synthetic runway. Edit: link to mod with QFE + ILS airports data M-2000C ILS data for PCN input (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

    Mirage F1 hype

No, you said Mirage F1 is lighter and almost same T/W ratio. Mirage F1 is roughly the same weight as Mirage 2000, and with weaker engine, the T/W is nowhere near the numbers you gave. I don't know what weight or thrust you used for these T/W ratio ?
  9. The coming Gripen E This is also a feature advertised for some times about advanced Flanker variants like Su-35:
  10. The changes the name of some controls at some point, but the logic behind it didn't really changed. The HOTAS is really easy and remember, much more more than the Hornet. Sure the 2005 Hornet we have in game is more capable than the Mirage 2000C RDI from late 1980' - early 1990'. It's a matter of time period.

    Synthetic Runway

Yes, it's coming with the next update. (From Discord) Edit: oops, I was late
  12. That's a bug that is waiting the next update to be corrected...
  13. There is a new coder at work, and a big update coming for April 7th. Wait for it...
  14. RD mode (Route Désirée) ILS with synthetic runway (can be input in flight PCN for any airport with ILS, doesn't need to be landing waypoint in ME anymore).
  15. Actually, the AoA in the HUD isn't realistic, but it's a relief when you play on screen. In VR, with binocular vision, you can read it with you left high while your right high can read the G gauge.
  16. To make a summary of some the advice above: - try to land below 11t - flare gently passing 30ft - extend speed brake on touch down. Even the best can bounce from time to time, don't be ashamed

    TA radar mode

What you're talking about the Skyhawk is called "terrain following", so yes, this is different Terrain avoidance: Prepare your navigation, and say that during that leg between 2 waypoints you are flying at a specific altitude. Terrain avoidance allows you to check that you are clear of obstacles. Terrain following: It does allow you to fly the aircraft to stay at a specific height above the ground. So you can fly the aircraft in the vertical plan. The next step is automatic terrain following (Mirage 2000N & D).

    TA radar mode

The advertised mode on Discord was Terrain Avoidance (DEC button on PCR).
  19. Thanks for the input I was also wondering about the trick to sustain M0.99 like on the picture above. Probably no external tank though...
  20. Yep, something like that ? But I think this is a very specific case where the plane needs burners to get there and then can sustain it in MIL power (and light configuration).
  21. I started FL360 with empty external tank (to simulate start up, take off and climb). Then I climbed with burners to FL450. Indeed, with the external tank it will slow down. I dropped the bag, the plane settled speed as you can see in attached pictures. But if you want to fly high, you will better from FL360 to FL400 than above.
  22. No, that is weird, you should be able to cruise at MIL power. But doing a 180° turn without burners would take ages.
  23. Yes sure, you can cruise that high (which is already not that bad), but you will have very little turning margin.
