  1. And what are you waiting for when rolling nose down at 170kt ? Rotate at 120kt when light, 150kt when heavy...no problem !
  2. The hardened mode with A button on PCR is cool, but you loose almost half the range...
  3. What you describe is BAT120. A flight tasked to attack an airfield and disable its runway with BAP100 wouldn't be re-tasked to perform CAS. This is wishful thinking. BAP100 missions are heavily planned, not just load and patrol in case of... Your 30mm will just work as well if not better against infantry.
  4. You would never see that load IRL apart from Super 530D development !
  5. For cluster bombs you have BLG66 Beluga, why doing wrong when you can do it right ? (even if Beluga doesn't work the way it should yet)
  6. V2.2 Update September 27th 2021: added follwing radars to threat librabry - NASAMS joint with Hawk (simply added to kneeboard page). - Square Pair tracking radar for SA-5. - Tin Shield search radar SA-5 (generic early warning symbol). - HQ-7 Chinese Pack short range SAM system. - SA-15 joint with SA-8. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312388/
  7. Wise man
  8. In VR, with 3D pilot, the shoulders match mine IRL. So it's OK. I also sat in cockpit during the airshow, and yes, it's tinny.
  9. IPD is the distance between your eyes's pupils. So the realistic setting depends on you. By default it's the average human value: 63.5mm But anyway, the Mirage 2000 cockpit, is small. I did seat in it (Mirage 2000-5F) on the ground during airshow, and it was OK compared to VR, it was also the opinion of the fighter pilot who also occasionally use VR for training.

    ECM - PCM Mode

As said above, not yet. The ECM panel button is: - VEI. = Veille = stand by (receive only) - middle = HOTAS toggle VEI./ PCM - PCM At the end, we can guess it should be kind like on DCS Hornet.
  12. No, the arrow flashes according to altitude set on the HUD panel with "SEL H" + "RAD ALT" rotary on the right. I don't know for French Air Force, but in French Navy they would set desired flying height -10% (for instance 180ft if they intend to fly at 200ft). The pull-up cue is when the " _ " solution cue appears at the bottom of the HUD The bombs release starts when " _ " is reaching the " -O- "

    ECM - PCM Mode

You have the button on the ECM panel on the right side of the cockpit. Just place it in the middle position. Then you can use the HOTAS button to toggle between PCM and PCR. Currently PCM forces the emission ON. So the HOTAS button will toggle jammer emission ON/ OFF. You don't need to map the ECM panel button on the HOTAS.
  14. Really handy: DiCE: DCS Integrated Countermeasure Editor v4.2 by Bailey (F18C, F16C, A10C, A10C2, AV8B, M2000C) (digitalcombatsimulator.com) The bonus is that your modifications persist after DCS World update.
  15. Yep, the current module is hardcore Mirage 2000C RDI S5 from French Air Force, despite some export skins paint for gameplay. The included weapons have been in use or at least certified at one point or another of the career of the type in French Air Force. The French Mirage 2000-5F can only use Mica EM, Mica IR and previously Magic 2. Export variants are tailored for customers requests with more weapons options (like Mica and SCALP for Greek Mirage 2000-5MK2 and even more options on U.A.E. Mirage 2000-9). The Greek Mirage 2000 EGM can use Exocet with RDM radar. But these export variants have never been marketed. So far only Mirage 2000C RDI with weapons used in French Air Force.

    CCRP on ship

I didn't do the math, but maybe because of rad alt limit = 5000ft.

    CCRP on ship

It's difficult for TAS (radar ranging) on sea. Select RS (radar altimeter) on PCA instead Limit your dive to -30° to stay within radar altimeter correct envelope.
  18. No, Mirage 2000C RDI did have NCTR upgrade in mid 90s. I don’t know about the Hornet. It looks like F-15C got it during Desert Storm, but it doesn’t mean it was the same on Hornet...
  19. No Mirage F1 was ever fitted with Agave radar, this is urban legend. Iraqi Mirage F1 using Exocet did so with Cyrano IV radar. Likewise, Mirage 50EV dedicated to Exocet mission was practically a Mirage F1 cockpit and avionics bolted onto Mirage III airframe. It did used Cyrano IV radar. The main advantage of the Agave is that it was small enough to fit inside Super Etendard, if you could use bigger radar, all the better.
  20. Very good work by this guy

  22. Thank you for the summary. But the my question rather if a country like East Germany was considered close enough to get 9.12 instead of 9.12A ?
  23. The MiG 29 9.12A was the export variant, supposed to be slightly downgraded. I have seen some claims that some export countries received the same stock MiG-29 9.12 as USSR, but I don't know if this is true ?
  24. It is quite a complex phenomenon. Indeed, we are quickly overloaded with the Mi-24P. The airframe empty weight is already high, with fuel and weapons it quickly adds up. On top of weight, air density (altitude) can lead to loosing tail rotor authority before main rotor, and the wind can also send main rotor turbulent stream into tail rotor. You will find a lot of tutorials on YouTube about loss of tail rotor effectiveness (LTE). Just think about rotor spinning direction. Russian helicopters rotors are spinning clockwise. Most of tutorials you will find are thought with US helicopters spinning counter-clockwise. Just invert left and right
