For flying around move the toggle switch on the upper left to bombing. That will raise the seat in the cockpit. When entering a fight turn the switch off.

Sorry to say this plane use to have many things that are now missing: If you over primed the engine on start up you would get very large flames coming out the stacks. Along with that was a huge plume of smoke. THIS IS GONE If you pulled back on the throttle to quickly a puff of smoke would come out the stacks from over loading the cylinders with fuel. THIS IS GONE This plane came out in 2013 and the simple fact is that there is NO money in updating older planes. The money is in the Jets.

When adjusting and setting up the sim: In the settings menu have a tooltip show when hovering over the settings: This setting will impact the CPU This setting will impact the GPU This setting will affect CPU & GPU usage This setting uses your system memory This setting uses your GPU memory As it is now there is no way without trial and error. This frustrates many trying to setup and play. And is the questions most asked by both new and current players.

Dual factor authentication for free trials?
Rebel28 replied to Beirut's topic in Forum and Site Issues
So how does this work if you do not own a SmartPhone? Even if I did the area is a dead cell area located between 2 mountains. -
And after I posted that they went and took the flames back out..... The warbirds in here are an after thought and don't get any attention but we do get a lot of lip service.... As with the damage model that went the way of the Dodo bird..

Tracks this is what I have found it might help you: Do NOT play tracks in MT use ST for playback, The amount of your Ram = max fast forward speeds 16g = 1 32g = 2 - 3 64g = 3 - 4 do not go above 4

investigating Later Trigger Trains do not show for client
Rebel28 replied to liagouchka's topic in Bugs and Problems
If that is the case it is something that should not happen at all for an online game setting. Being that the traffic on the roads is in the same location on clients. -
investigating Later Trigger Trains do not show for client
Rebel28 replied to liagouchka's topic in Bugs and Problems
On the NTTR map the trains are not synchronized between clients. All players see the same train in different locations. -
Well another suggestion then. If they are not going to give the pilot an oxygen mask. How about this? If you take the plane above 12k the pilot starts to turn Blue like a Smerf.

[4K TEXTURE OVERHAUL, WIP] Magic's Modified Mustang Makeup

“I cannot guarantee that it'll be finished for sure” Now hold on. I have invested about 15 minutes following this project, with great anticipation. (and at my age those minutes are quite valuable) Don’t stop now…. -
In a real plane you would feel the vibration of the hits on the skin. Here we only have sound to go by and it is not there.
-
The hit sounds in DCS are really bad you can hardly hear them and sometimes not at all. Bullets or Cannon rounds hitting the skin of the plane should sound more like beating on a garbage can with a large bat. A pilot would know right away he got hit. But the sound here is so low many times you never know you were even hit.

Alright Zach, It took North American 120 days from design to prototype for the real plane. We are beginning to think you have a real life... -
There are times some may not want to stick to what’s real. At one time a server was up using the Nevada map. On this server the owner had placed a carrier near the Hoover dam. Was this realistic, NO. But it sure did lead to a lot of fun with friends to see who had the talent. The carrier was on a slight angle making the approach a real challenge. The takeoffs facing the dam and having to go under the bridge was also strange. This lead to having a fun time as we made many failed attempts. Sometimes you just need to have fun. If not you are just getting old.
-
Same along with no hit sounds when your own plane is taking fire.
-
In the DCS sound settings make sure you have it set to using the USB 2.0 option.

+1 on this map needs work....

That's the thinking on updates.... We had to live with the engine popping sound for 3 months.

ED's Thinking IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT!
-
In the real world pilots do not start flight training in a high performance jet. To compensate for this I would recommend you start by adding curves to your controls, a lot of curve, until you can control the plane. As you progress with the plane you will find you can start backing off these curve settings. You always need to set a higher curve on pitch then roll. It takes time a practice but if you stick with it you will get better.

It is a real downer when real life gets in the way of a passion project. I am so looking forward to the completion of your work. The P-51 has been neglected by ED for many years, and it takes someone like you with the passion to fix what they should have done years ago. It is my hope that your real job slows soon so you may finish the great work you have started. -
Have the ability to change the color of the text chat. It is very hard to read the red chat. I know you can edit the lua file but this gets reset after every update. It would be great to have a game option.
