+1 I just attempted to bind these to my McLaren GT3 Fanatec wheel today - and was slightly shocked/disappointed that they were not present in the control section. Cheers, Ziptie

A-10c II Hotas functions Chart for kneeboard
Ziptie replied to VaporFlow's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
TMS right long will slave to last mark point - not sure if that will take to you "Z point" or not, but could be a quick test for you to do if that is the only remaining question. Cheers, Ziptie -

Make sure your HMCS is SOI, then they should function. Coolie switch forward, when there is an asterisk on the HMCS display, that indicates it is SOI. Cheers, Ziptie -
Ah, that is my mistake - but fortunately the method you describe the the second part of your post is how I did it in the original A10C - so I was doing it incorrect originally but now don’t have to adapt my muscle memory. A win for me? Debatable.. Cheers, Ziptie

Slave TGP to STPT is still CHAL (china hat aft long), just like it's always been..... There is no need to CHAS (china hat aft short) to enter LSS mode, unless you are actually searching for a buddy lase. Cheers, Ziptie

A-10c II Hotas functions Chart for kneeboard
Ziptie replied to VaporFlow's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
CHAS simply cages the HMCS cursor to the "bore sight" of the HMCS. As user: bart described above, this is indicated by the "Maltese cross" in the HMCS, rather than just a cross - which indicates that the HMCS cursor has been slewed in prior operation. Cheers, Ziptie -
If that doesn't solve it - turn MSAA off via DCS options menu, if you have it enabled. Might also help you, depending on your machine. I never use it, and instead use Oculus Debug Tool for adjustments / options like that. Cheers, Ziptie

With the TGP displayed on the right MFD, the boat switch will change the TGP display between CCD/BHOT/WHOT (just like it does if the MFD displaying the TGP is SOI) and the TDC will slew the cursor of the HMCS if the HMCS is SOI. Cheers, Ziptie -
in your autoexec.cfg file - make sure the line the other person included, is in there. For me, I have made it read: --options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true As there are issues with it, and as ED have stated the shared parser is "very much a WIP" and found my performance has improved by doing so and clarity also seems to have improved. Cheers, Ziptie

Have you deleted the contents of the FXO and METASHADERS2 folders? If not, do so and see if it improves your experience. It seems to do so, for many. Cheers, Ziptie

He is asking how to assign a "sequence" not the individual OSB buttons. Like a macro... In other words, he presses one key (or button) and it commands the depression of STBY, then AG mode - in other words achieving a boresight of the TGP, without actually depressing the OSB buttons / key binds individually..... To the person asking the question - sadly I do not know how to create a macro like that - but maybe someone can. Was simply clarifying your seemingly obvious question, to this person. Cheers, Ziptie

Looks like you got your wish - reference the "updated" GAU-8 sound (smoke from gun looks much more like real life, compared to what it did prior). Cheers, Ziptie

For me it actually seems smoother than the A10C "I" You might try deleting the FXO and metashader2 files if you haven't done so since the most recent update - see if that helps you at all. As another said, the A10C "II" seems to have better performance than the F/A-18C or the F-16C for me (in terms of FPS in cockpit). Cheers, Ziptie

[ADD A TRACK FILE] HUD displays CCIP while in NAV mode
Ziptie replied to Hammer1-1's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
So was the gun selected still, because that is exactly what it sounds like happened. Even with AG master mode "off" - if GUN was selected (aka boxed) - it will show CCIP even when in NAV mode. Cheers, Ziptie -
[ADD A TRACK FILE] HUD displays CCIP while in NAV mode
Ziptie replied to Hammer1-1's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I’d bet that GUN was boxed while in AG master mode. Try selecting AG master mode again, unbox GUN from stores display, deselect AG master mode. Should be gone, no more CCIP displayed while in NAV mode. The same could have been done with an AG store in CCIP release profile, but if all stores had been released - I’d put money on it being the gun. Cheers, Ziptie -
I used to do it for a change of target location that was somewhat large in distance after prosecuting on initial target location. CHAS, pull the nose to new AO, slew TGP to new area of interest, extend to safe distance, create mark point(s), setup for attack, prosecute. Repeat. That was with the A10C “I” Now with the A10C “II” - it is an unneeded process, as it can all be done via the HMCS. I’m fine without the cage to boresight HOTAS command, although as a SME has weighed in with the function that should be incorporated into the TGP display, it will be a welcome addition for some and something I might use from time to time. Cheers, Ziptie

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]GBU38 ready but stuck on "Safe" status
Ziptie replied to Meyomyx's topic in Bugs and Problems
Only way to get it off the aircraft at that point is to jettison the failed station. You can jettison in an armed mode, or safe - I’ve managed to jettison stores and actually shack targets before - but it’s a lottery ticket kind of deal. Cheers, Ziptie -

Could be too short of a depress, on the weapon release (pickle) button when attempting to employ a 38. It requires a depress and hold momentarily. Could this be what you've done? Cheers, Ziptie -
A-10 C ll Radio communication help needed
Ziptie replied to Papa_bear's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
Have your keyboard in a "fixed/known" position - you will get used to it and be able to access every key "blind" without issue. This is what I've done - for 3 years now of flying with DCS and can press any key, on command when needed, without fault. Also, it is exceptionally handy to bind the numeric pad to the UFC scratchpad keys (0-9) - which makes typing 9 lines into the CDU a breeze. I also have RShift bound to the function button on the UFC for additional quick access to those functions. Cheers, Ziptie -

+1 And I also tend to switch to anchor "mode" when doing so. Obviously not a requirement by any means, but I do. Cheers, Ziptie
