  1. Did you SOI FLIR when attempting to TDC depress again, or were you still Maverick SOI? Should be FLIR SOI. I won't be able to fly virtually again until Saturday if I'm lucky - but when I flew last weekend, this worked for me. To be fair, normally I won't TDC depress on any target (stationary or moving) until I have rolled in on my final attack heading so there isn't really a need for me to do this - but it did work when testing it). Regardless, seems that you were able to sort it out so well done! Cheers, Ziptie
  2. Yeah I don't have an issue with it, works great for me consistently without having to do anything outside of normal procedures - so I was just suggesting something that might work for you. Best of luck! Cheers, Ziptie
  3. If you haven't tried using the EXP modes of the AG radar, while trying to find your targets at sea - I'd encourage you to give it a try. I found that once a return was received on the AG radar (in this case being the ship) - I'd maintain my offset, utilize the EXP 1 or 2, press and hold the TDC depress to "box" desired expanded area, then being able to clearly see the ship while in expand mode - TDC depress and hold, slew to center of ship and let go of TDC depress. Was pretty much bang on center of target each attempt. To echo Buzz's input, might be worth you asking a moderator to move this to the Hornet sub forum, rather than remaining in the Viper sub forum - you might get more feedback from other tactics pilots are using or help. Cheers, Ziptie
  4. If you've created the point track, and 30 seconds has passed since creating it - but you still have a point tracking solution - can't you simply TDC depress again to get the maverick seeker head to slew to the most recent position? Seems to work for me... Cheers, Ziptie
  5. It is actually a good thing that you have to "bump" the throttles forward and then aft after landing (wow) to simulate pulling the throttles to ground idle from flight idle. Not sure any throttle out there for the sim world can replicate what the real throttles accomplish in real life. It's become so standard for me, when I fly the Hornet, after the rear wheels touch down on the runway to "bump" the throttles and carry the nose up for the initial part of runway travel. I'm with the others, not really sure why this is a big deal and desired to change. My throttles move fluidly in relativity in game and with the physical throttles. Using stock TMWH throttle curves and other properties. My .02 Cheers, Ziptie
  6. For the maverick question: if you were only carrying two mavericks on each station - then missile reject will skip the only remaining missile on that pylon and move to the next pylon. If you were carrying three mavericks on each side, then you'd have to missile reject twice (CHAS with MAV SOI) to get to the other pylon. For the Mk82/83 issue, that does seem like odd behavior. RIP PRS should drop two from each station with the profile outlined into DSMS, unless I've missed something. That one seems worth investigating for sure. Not sure I'll be able to fly this week, but if I am able - will certainly try that and see if the same results are achieved on my end and let you know. If so, would be worth ED investigating. Cheers, Ziptie
  7. I'll give it a try when I can fly again - not sure I'll be able to do so this week, but will let you know after I have - see if I can encounter the same issue you were. Cheers, Ziptie
  8. That was my thought as well, not sure if it will actually override the LTD/R switch moving to the AFT position after the laser has completed it's cycle and weapon has impacted. Curious to see if his method can override and leave the LTD/R switch in the ARM position. Please let us know @LeCuvier Example: In the A10C I/II, the EAC switch will not stay in the forward position if you have not properly completed the alignment steps and associated system activations (example not moved SAS switches to the forward position) - however, if you were to move the physical EAC switch on the TM Warthog HOTAS - it will keep the EAC switch in the forward position in the game, even though you still have an EAC warning on the advisory panel. Cheers, Ziptie
  9. Is the target moving? If so, is it a case of the "smart" AI driving in circles? That can cause issues. My first thought is weather though... Higher winds can lead to an offset of the ASL compared to where the target actually is. Regardless, even if you are not perfectly lined up with the ASL, you should be able to release the store and then allow the laser to bring it to the intended target. Is the weapon physically not able to come off the pylon, or are you saying you cannot drop the store, as you cannot get properly lined up with the ASL? Cheers, Ziptie
  10. Have you tried flipping the HUD switch to night, to see if the orange is easier for you to read by chance? Figure that might be worth a shot before going in to edit any .lua? Switch is located on the armament panel, in case you might have been unaware. There is another thread with many many posts about this very thing, located in the A10C "II" section if you wanted to get some input on what others have discussed about modifying the .lua file(s). Cheers, Ziptie
  11. Probably for training - either attack training, or possibly for a crossover platform usage for Naval pilots? I've flown in MP servers that have them in different places at NTTR map, as well as PG map (placed in the ground). Ease of trap practice, as there is not option (at least currently) to perform trap practice on an airfield runway. But good spot regardless, I missed it the first time of viewing the video :megalol: Cheers, Ziptie
  12. Both A10C and A10C "II" were developed for the Air Force testing. Probably the better question: "How lucky are we?" Cheers, Ziptie
  13. Enjoy it, it's the best campaign out there in my opinion. Feels very real throughout the entire thing! Good purchase. Cheers, Ziptie
  14. You have to edit the .lua file(s) for the MFD. I believe the name is F16MFD1 (located in the joystick sub folder of the A10CII). I added a few keybinds to the rocker switches of the physical MFD including: master arm/safe, gun pac arm/safe, laser arm/safe. I also use VR and wanted these bound for ease of access to mitigate using the mouse and get a bit more "real feel." Forum member Lecuvier (https://forums.eagle.ru/member/97982-lecuvier), assisted me in what lines to input into the aforementioned .lua file. If you are aware of how to input these lines of code - that is the file you want to use. If you are unaware, I can PM that forum member with a link to your thread - if he doesn't stumble across it before then. It would probably be most productive for your side, to literally include all the things you want to bind (specifically) - so he/she can assist you. Very willing to help with my situation, probably the same for yours. Cheers, Ziptie
  15. ^^ Wow ^^ Yeah that is one heck of a difference. I'm quite out of my element when it comes to exported screens, again the life of a VR user - but I can safely say, I'd kill for the MFD's to look like your extracted ones, in the game. I find the MFDs are far too bright most of the time and require adjusting of the brightness/contrast nearly every time - and then further adjustments as the time progresses throughout the mission. Hopefully a mod or experienced person can give you some valuable input with the issue - as there is a stark difference from the two for sure. Cheers, Ziptie
  16. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312814/ Yessir. Well, I can't speak for the OP - but it is available via user files. I could have sworn it was a purchase campaign "back in the day" but could easily be mistaken there. Cheers, Ziptie

    Beety warning

I'll give that a try and see if there is a difference with an audible tone. Old habits die hard, so I'll probably fail the first few times - but I'll report back and let you know if it is different between the two methods. Cheers, Ziptie
  18. I'd post a short track so it can be seen by devs/mods and others, first I've heard of it being reported. Have personally launched from the Roosevelt and from the Truman and another, haven't experienced it there (on any of the cats). Probably best way to get it 'officially addressed' Cheers, Ziptie
  19. From DCS main menu: Instant action > A10CII > Syria Map >> lowest mission in the list. I agree with the OP, I'd recommend enabling subtitles in the options menu before attempting the first time. It can be difficult to understand until you've heard it a time or two.. Cheers, Ziptie
  20. And as advertised - if you haven't seen the newest video from Wags for the incoming updates - your B/S OSB button will arrive with the next update (scheduled for the 5th): 1:05 into the video So your wish is soon to be granted. Cheers, Ziptie

  22. When you press whatever key, or combination of keys, you have assigned for auto start - does any kind of message pop up in the top right corner of the screen saying it has been initiated? If not, check to see if your existing key bind has potentially been overwritten or erased completely.... I believe the name in the control / key bind section has changed from 'auto start' to 'start procedure' as well - in case you are attempting to check assignments. I can't speak whether there is an issue with it, as I don't use auto start but figured that would be a good starting point. Cheers, Ziptie
  23. I'd love for the MFD's to look like that in VR. You can actually "see" the TAD when the map is enabled. As for the TGP display, that seems a bummer that it is that much darker.. I notice that your brightness rotary selector(s) in game on the dash are set to night - have you tried right clicking them to move them to the day position to see if it changes the brightness on your exported displays? Sorry, only thought I have - while I use TM Cougar MFD's - I use VR and don't have anything displayed to them via external screens.. Cheers, Ziptie

    Beety warning

The same way I engage it, by depressing the engage/disengage button. What you should read when you see someone say "interesting" is: Interesting. Don't be a typical internet user and interpret text, out of context, if you know what I mean. Read it for what it is. As I said, interesting. Wondering if there is a setting somewhere on mine that is disabled (i.e volume knob being left clicked, therefore muted, and needing me to right click it to unmute it). Cheers, Ziptie
  25. If the recent release of the "II" and the prior version of the A10C are any indication - I'd say there is a strong possibility that the incoming upgrades for the real life A10C will eventually make it into DCS. That being said, I'd wager that wouldn't happen anytime within the next 10 years - probably more like 15 to 20 - due to classified systems/tactics of fully current/operational aircraft and then the time to code it for civilian use (converted from mil spec sim use). Similar process to what the A10C "II" went thru after the Air Force's needs led to an upgraded version their pilots needed for training. Cheers, Ziptie
