  1. Nah , just the last thing he read about
  2. In order of hours logged , Hornet , Albatross , Huey , and for the same reason as above , the TF-51 . FC3 birds are hangar queens . The Albatross will likely soon join them when the MB339 is released .
  3. Nope , no, non , nyet . Been on the pc upgrade merry-go-round long enough . No more until ED implements multi-threading and Vulkan . It's insane to keep spending $2500-3000 dollars a pop for a 10-15 % gain . I'll spend my money upgrading controllers over the next year instead .
  4. I occasionally sprayed my pots with electronic contact cleaner to solve problems such as this . Don't forget the trim and throttle pots as well .
  5. I had a similar experience with motorcycles and the wife . Beware . I came back from a trip to find My bike dolled up the way She wanted it . I ended up having to get another - bike that is
  6. Pc's are easier to build now , not harder . My 12 yr old grandson just built his first .
  7. Open WMR for Steam Vr settings & have a look ?
  8. (1) GPU tuning : set "min" freq to 100-400 less than "max" freq . From 500 to 2605 hz is a long ramp . (2) DCS graphics settings : (a) : " global cockpit illumination " is a severe resource hog . (b) : ground textures can be set to low . I can't tell the difference . (c) : secondary shadows off , if you can live without them (d) : that memory speed problem will kill you with a Ryzen processor , which requires fast memory . Priority one ! I actually prefer to run the G2 at 60hz native . No probs maintaining native freq anytime the gear is up , and motion smoothing kicks in seamlessly on the ground . Running 60hz also gives a lot of system frametime headroom , allowing higher settings . Is AMD gpu still problematic with motion reprojection ? I know it has been . I know nothing about OXR . Steam works fine for me , and FpsVR shows very balanced cpu and gpu frametimes .
  9. That's pretty funny . My order came from Lithuania to central US in 3 days , 2 of which were over the weekend . The good part is that when you order , you're reserving a place in line for that item . My (2) items were shipped 3 weeks after placing the order . Couldn't be simpler .
  10. Thank you . 1 day less than a month for me , including shipping time .
  11. Sounds like a dirty potentiometer . If so , spray it with some contact cleaner , wipe back and forth to limits , repeat .
  12. Tough to fly in VR and wear a helmet...
  13. Amd gpu's drivers do not handle WMR motion reprojection well . At all . But Steam motion smoothing runs very well indeed on the G2 with my 6800xt . I have no idea how it works , beyond reprojection , but it works , and is a nice workaround for what would otherwise be a VR problem for AMD users .
  14. In my experience , Steam motion smoothing on "auto" locks frames to exactly one-half or full refresh rate with the G2 . It works very well with an AMD gpu , as motion reprojection does not .
  15. That does not comport with my experience , nor does it with what Steam says... https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/250820/view/2898585530113853534
  16. Alternative history is interesting because its discussion can inform actual history . So i am bumping a worthy topic .
