  1. Ok you would havetolog into the server with both if your wanting multiplayer traditional you would have to connect both machines to the map server then connect to the same ac like the gazelle guys do but right now as far as I know it isn’t possible. For offline play you would have to run your own server on one of the machines. Still not possible at this time for this ac. The multi crew is supposed to be coming. I don’t know if you can run to views the rest would work as it is if they are separate assignments for fron and rear controls I’m not I don’t think you are s ble to assign 2 joysticks to the same setting/button/axis. I would like to see a virtual pilot and be the wso but Ed thinks everyone wants to be maverick I know he’s instructor in the new movie and flew f14sin the old guys. P.S. I wish ED would rake the time and complete the stuff they have out instead of creating more modules and features. But that will not make them any new money from most of us. Figure the new user dales are probably no more than 10% at the max it is us users that jump on the new stuff and since dcs world is free as I recall or use to be it the additional modules that are the income for them.
  2. Good question I’m not doing multiple screens so I’m not familiar with it’s limitations. Not to mention vr/non rated setups if the f14 had multiple crew I would say setup a local network between the two seats one computer for the front with vr one setup for the rear with two joysticks and switches and touch panels. Btw if you need a 24-28” touchscreen I have one I bought new a few years back but switched to vr before using it it is in its box but it’s open .
  3. How is it working for you? I’m thinking if I can get a platform te of motion rih that I can mount my current platform that I made for my speedmaster flight setup. I raised it up to help me get in and especially out.
  4. Imo the Komodo setup is probably the cost since the collective is changeable iirc. The maxflight I think has a good system nut I haven’t flown either of these two imo the Komodo is like the tm vs the saitek. The maxflight would be the ch and proflight which I do own is the Microsoft. I’m not aware of any that I would compare to saitek. I do own some older maxflight collective and cyclic. But have not tested or used them yet I got them and took I’ll for a couple of months then took a break from my computer (not iPad just PCs) until this month and I’ve been too busy with medical appointments to get back to working on the pit First I need to unbury it. It became a catch all somehow.
  5. Great ideal . Can you draw up an assembly guide and parts list so I may mos mine I guess with the dampners you don’t need spring for any ac if you recenter them yourself
  6. Why not a tm cougar throttle it’s perfect match to the f-16
  7. Build it yourself if you can read a basic instruction sheet and use a Phillip screwdriver if not get a friend to assemble it and you order the parts you want if you want I’ll try and find a list of the parts I got last winter Jan-mar timeframe they were top of the line then so you might wish to get a newer part for better performance or keep what I bought an save some money over the newer parts but this system was built to be effective for 3-5 years or more.
  8. I would like a skin for the NM ANG Lobos stationed at Kirkland AFB,NM. Would one of you nice artist create a lobo skin for me? I’m not sure if the have a demo or flash ac or if they all are painted Ian the Tech order
  9. Glad I prefer usaf rides especially since I’m color defisent . My diabetes have killed my eye sight I used to read a sign when it appear on the horizon now I’m lucky if I can read the whole thing before I drive by it. Among my other ailments I say getting old isn’t easy or everyone would do it.
  10. Another use for my Wacom tablet only problem is it’s a medium the perfect size would be the small one.. I was hoping for iPad support as I have a couple laying around that would be perfect to Velcro to my leg strap for hold charts and notes. Any chance on it comping down the line and yes the older ones can use a bt stylus.
  11. I another thing missing is the call to atc ground for startup clearance. I wish the videos showed the radio calls that should be mandatory if we are going to realistic training
  12. Which hotas you going to use the cougar (f-16) or the warthawg(a-10) or the Warhawk f-18 grip? I bought the cougar before I realized it was a f-16 setup as a secondary setup away from my pit with the warthawg. So flying the f-16 with the cougar is great because of the buttons and switches being in the correct location
  13. From the two years timeframe that I’ve been involved with the dcs world community I’ve tried to get assistance in developing missions for training based on rl ground school and BMC training along with the advanced training that pilots either received in their home units or special schools. At first I was told it couldn’t be done but after research I’ve seen bits and pieces here and there that if they were combined and expanded could closely simulate a instructor pilot either in a chase aircraft for single seat aircraft or in the other seat for multicrew aircraft. I used to program in basic and believe I could design the outline/flowchart for these missions but I need assistance since I’m not that experienced with the me environment I fill a team with a graphics designer, programmer and aircrew with experience in both the airframe and training ie past or current instructor pilots could do these missions in a format that would work for all if not most airframes. Eagle Dynamics has this pool of resources. It would be nice if the take the source info like checklists, training syllabus and even wags videos and chucks tutorials and design missions that take let’s say wags training videos and convert them to interactive missions where the common flight rule for the host airframe are used. What I mean is use the us army flight rules for the uh-1h huey, the navy for the f-18 hornet, the us Air Force for the a-10s and f-16 etc. Also an ideal would be a ground school training forum here because the ground school could cover both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft or split them when the paths diverse. Another nice point would be proper radio communications shown in videos and tutorials and checked for in training missions. You shoulcontact atc ground before startup and movement of the aircraft. They will then hand you off to atc air for takeoff and local pattern flight after you hit a certain point you’ll be handed over to a regional atc controller etc. military have their own ground and local controllers normally they only hand you off the faa controllers on cross country routes as I recall for fights in areas of operations the faa atc should be handled by awacs. And other military controllers. It would be nice to see full communications shown during the traing and familiarization videos as appropriate.
  14. Do plan on using darts graphical atc interface in conjunction with the srs box you built so you can see everything or you going to use dcs’ s map mode. I recommend the former?
  15. how did you mount the hms to the oculus rift s i didnt receive any velcro, two sided tape, screws or wire ties.
  16. I bought the pro flight trainer about two years ago nice if it works in your cockpit setup it is designed for a chair. I later bought used a max flight collective and cyclic I like the design of it getter as I got pieces individually not on a central frame didn’t pay nearly as much but it was used and the cyclic was reported to have problems but I became ill shortly after receiving them so not sure if it was working or not. The later plug in to a central box by r11 plugs iirc nice touch only problem was box wasn’t labeled so I contacted max flight and the sent directions for connecting both. Even had connection for torque pedals. I purchased the collective and the cyclic was tossed in for free. After contacting max flight was told that their mounting designed was modified. The collective was perfect for my purposes. I preferred the maxflight design and function over the proflight the collective was patterned more like a huey than the simple design of the proflight.both used the b4 cyclic setup which was what the huey used.
  17. Just tied link to YouTube and it’s dead tried the YouTube number in YouTube and it to was a no go
  18. I read in the release for today a beta version was added
  19. Agin the flight seat from speedmaster it totally built for flight simmimg and can be used for racing sims also just mount the pedals to the pedal plate you either drill the holes or use Velcro. Me I plan on having several setups so I used Velcro where needed. I’m going to have it setup for helo, fighter with center or side stick, ga/commercial aircraft with a yoke or side stick, racing with wheel and pedals.
  20. Or you could 3d print te panels. Probably cheaper than a laser cutter and materials.
  21. I had the ideal to use a Leo bednor board with several switch boxes since it has so many buttons but how to connect them. I decided that Rj-45 connectors wouldn’t be the easiest and most available. That cat 5/6 connectors for those that didn’t know plus it allows 8 wires per plug iirc one common and 7 input connections if wired correctly use standard patch cables as long as you decide on the common connector first and wire it to the common connection on the board I. Was going to use a bus strip for the common connection to the board then wire up the max number of jacks on the board box that way all you have to do is plug the switch boards as the are created. That way some switch boxes can be mount to the left and others on the right. WTH the central board box the cables are the connection to the computer using one usb cnecn. In my opinion it is maximizing the available resources.
  22. I just got a rift s and it has a display connector. My laptop has a hdmi is what I plugged my rift in to but since I had to order an adapter I got one for hdmi and one for usb c. Which input will give me the best results? What no inputs
  23. I went with the speedmaster flight seat and removed the center mount plate from under the seat and put carpet on base that I mounted seat and frame to . I made a base for a couple reasons main was it was easier to get in and out of. Then I covered the square base plat for the warthog stick with the hook side of industrial Velcro between the size of the base and the weight of the stick works well I did have to use two extensions to get the stick to the correct height. It is a well made and thought out design. I also got the monitor mount and just ordered the seat belt setup for it. I covered most of the side shelves, keyboard shelf and the other two upright plates with the loop side of the industrial Velcro it does two things makes the shelve less slick so pen and other items stay put plus it makes my pit convertible. Ie change from fighter to ga/comm by swapping out controls by just Velcro. My plan is to have it switch between helo, fighter, ga/comm, and racing by just switching out the controls.
  24. I’m wanting to design some in-depth training missions. From cockpit fam to advanced combat training. I’m wanting to take readings from the cockpit instruments and air craft position and use them to correct the flight . Start off with a startup using a call challenge type action of reading the checklist then confirming the action. Then periodically checking the ac position and comparing it to the desired flit path and having the ai instructor telling the pilot that he is off course and given a short period rechecking the ac position and then describing to the pilot what to do to correct things just like a real instructor pilot would. I plan using the checklist and chucks tutorial for the air craft as a guide line fore the missions. I ask Chuck previously and he gave me the go ahead. So I need some one who can teach me how to properly build the missions in the me using hat ever is needed. I have extensive basic programming experience but I haven’t done any in ten years or so. I really would like to be able to build these training missions for the community. If you are able and interested please contact me.
