I understand your frustratin i too wanted to try and fly as close to rl possible but it wasn’t until joined csg1 and got there radio procedures that i got a standardize procedude that works for them. Imo it isn’t by ffa regs. No engine start calls plus other small discrepancies but it does help when and who to call.. there is another unit that did a pdf on radio calls what and how to say various things. The lack of training orther than the combat systems is severely lacking. I would like to see ai ground school for both fixed and rotary aircraft the intermediate training in a trainer then finally an advanced training on yourairframe of choice thatcoversall the systems. Then when you show up at your unit you do a check flight to show flying. Abilities and they enter you in your combat training and tactics. But everyone wants to go straight to the3 combat. Imo flying is just as if not more. So than. The combat but since its a sim and you will not die from poor airmanship its overlooked.

The Motion Integrated G-Seat
BlacleyCole replied to Bergison's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My Questions are: 1). Can you do a uh-1 seat? 2). Can you do one that will replace the seat in a speedmaster flight cockpit frame? 3). As above. What about hotas and pedals? 4). Cost, how much? -
Sounds great and like you spent hours on it does the ai aircraft follow nafb flight patterns for takeoff and landing?

Announcing BGSC: Beginners Guide to Systems Coding
BlacleyCole replied to fl0w's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
I would like to see more info on reading and setting the controls in the cockpit like being able to write a tutorial on startup and checking that the user did the checklist in the correct order and set the panels in the correct configuration before allowing the user to go to the next item the also able to check if the user is flying the correct heading and altitude if not let the ai letthem knowtheyare off course ands correction is needed. -
Belsimtek was absorbed by ed late last year, it will be some time before the huey gets the attention it needs. If ever

What tablet(s) do you recommend as dedicated "kneeboards"?
BlacleyCole replied to Bahger's topic in DCS 2.9
Be nice if dcs would support an iPad natively with a moving map and electronic messaging -
Personally I prefer the Leo bednor boards over the Arduino boards the bednor boards show up as a joystick by default. The ardurino require configuration prior to being used.

Up to now I’ve been flyin on my acre Predator laptop which has held its own. But I’m in a position to build a tower desktop to go in the pit full time.based on the conclusion of the tweaking article in pc pilot latest month. The idea system would be built around the intel i9 9900x(misprint in arrival)and the new nvidia rtx 2080 with12gb or more ram. The rest was fast ddr4ram I’m going with the best mb that supports m.2 nvme ssd drives and built in audio and GPU several slots for boards to add features etc I will add additional ssd Sara drives for app use and several Ed red 4tb HD’s for library use. The monitor will be either a acre 23 “in storage or a viewsonic 24 or 27” touchscreen also in storage at worst my Sony 24 ps3. Monitor might get used until I decide once the mount arrives.main viewing will be vr rift cv1 until the next version proves itself better. What do you guys think of this setup what would you do different?

I was in even though I only own one base but i was willing to buy. Second base untiliread t was only for pace ilots and m not in to spar sims only dcs and xp11
-
Very nice similar to what I’m working on in theory. I’m using a speedmaster flight seat as the base with some mods. Right now I have my puma installed but I’m in the process of removing it and sing the warthog stick with 2 long extensions so the base can sit on the floor of the pit, the new tpr pedals and warthog throttle plus a maxflight collective for hotas controls a tkball insteadof amour mounte narthe throttle and collective. Two mfds on top of each other for switches later will come button boxes .
-
Well if you think you’ll be going vr then you need to go one of two directions. One is a specific aircraft so when you reach for a switch in vr it’s there physically. The other way is more versatile once you train your mind is a generic pit and the master switch is in the same location for all access so you know where to reach.

What difference does it make if you own the mod
