  1. Did some tests and checked few older DCS.log(s). (Main DCS and SavedGames folders on 1TB Samsung SSD) Earlier "▲ first start of the day" loading times (with lots of Mods/Addons in the SavedGames folder) were about 1:20 , without any mods (only Su-25T and TF-51D in the "GameFolder"/Mods) was about 1:10 - (to get into the Caucasus-MissionEditor + 20 seconds). So Summ/Total were 1:40 - 1:30 into ME. ... not "▲ first start of the day" loading times were shorter, approx. 10 seconds quicker. Now (DCS 2.8.6.41363 Open Beta) "▲ first start of the day" loading time (and other, right after 2nd-3rd starts also) are about 3:20 but to get into Caucasus-MissionEditor slightly quicker: + 10 second. So the loading time now approx 2.5 times slower with the latest patch, here. - (but on the other hand get into ME, mission loading times, swaptimes between maps are faster) BTW: there is a problem @ the beginning of loading (maybe with weapons ???) - No Mods (running ST) ▼ (from latest DCS.log(s) === Log opened UTC 2023-06-23 20:09:28 2023-06-23 20:09:27.912 INFO EDCORE (Main): Create boot pool. . ............   2. Unfortunately I am experiencing the same thing. Loading time increased to double/triple or more. (not the shaders-making-time) It takes a lot of time until the logo with the version number appears. I think I go back to the previous beta.
  3. Probably they did not put that boat into the game yet (officially) coz DCS can handle 4 arresting wires maximum, currently. I guess RB an HB (Forrestal) wainting for implemantition of increased numbers of arresting wires by ED. AFAIK Marianas-Guam-Andersen_AFB runways (both) got only/no more than 4 invisible (but working) arresting-wires as well. (works/can be catch by FC3 ACs: F-15C/Su-33-hook too)
  4. What's the situation today ? 2023-06-10, after the 2.8.6 OB patch ? Is that possible to see detailed 3D models and textures of London and Paris by the trial-2-weeks map-module ?
  5. Can we find the big USA train (steam engine+wagons) in the game/on the map already ? Would be great as a ME 3D EDM model too with glowing lights at night. TY
  6. Not mentioned in PN. Sorry DCS 2.8.6.41066 Open Beta Introduced a new map module: DCS: Sinai DCS World Infantry no longer smoke when injured or killed ME. Weather widget: Broken alignment. Not enough space for strings - fixed Ships. Arleigh Burke aft launcher is missing the 'boom' sound when the SM-2 missile is fired - fixed ME. Mission Editor freezes when creating a new group - fixed AI Aircraft. AV-8B. Incorrect deck landing and takeoff in some cases - fixed AI Aircraft. AV-8B can't take off from FARP and sea shelf objects - fixed GUI Error when try to select track in some cases - fixed Ground units. In some situations, the collision of a bullet and a unit is not registered - fixed. MP. Server CTD if the client is destroyed due to a trigger and the client leaves the server - fixed. AI fighters will attack specialized interceptors like MiG-31 type if they are tasked with attacking fighters. MP. Server CTD on unit:destroy when player controlled - fixed Incorrect display of the horizon visibility boundary in TV mode of targeting pods - adjusted VR. Left eye has issues with lights on terrain and buildings - fixed lightmap applying in multi-viewport setup ME. MK-84 and some other bombs are missing in the Bomb in Zone Condition of trigger - fixed MP. Dedicated Server: slot spamming causes 100% CPU load and server unreachable - Fixed

  11. I agree. Would be nice, however ED does not want to see that. That's why they "written into stone". I mean those names on those buildings are 3D models, not textures on a simple plane. So there are 3 "solution" only. 1. Forget it 2. Edit the condensed 3D model file/pack (LasVegasObjects.ref) - what is close to impossible without an 3D exporter/converter. 3. Measure position and altitude of those names (on the buildings) and make a static object 3D plane/box with the correct name as texture and cover up the wrong-name-3D-model (what are -again- parts of the 3D-hotel-objects). - Cover up can be more difficult if the 3D label/title is inside of the collision model/box of the building

Nice "Container-Armada" BTW: bit OT but is it true that the smoke from chimney of ships are still missing by using MT ? ...and ship-smoke is present in ST but still no OverwingVapor effect on MiG-29A (running any mission after 1st mission ALL OverwingVapor effect dissapear (F-16, F-18, Mirage, A-10, J-11 etc.) ) ??? TY

I thought we are talking about possibilities: so F-15As and Cs already used CFTs (coz of the increased fuel quantity) in the 70s and 80s mainly for long-range over-seas CAP/Intercept operations (4*AIM-9 + 4*AIM-7 + 3*EFT), however F-15A/B/C/Ds do not need CFTs for dropping bombs. TER/MER ejector racks used for that under the wings/centerline pilons: means 3*6 Mk-82s (for example) just like Israeli Eagles do sometimes. Do you know the first Strike Eagles (protos) come out and flown without CFTs ? Modified F-15Ds too, they used the MER racks as well for bombs (CBUs too). Strike Eagle/Mudhen does not mean "MUST use/fly with CFTs ONLY"
