  1. Have you created a profile with that grip? If you don't create a profile it won't work.
  2. Nobody else seemed to notice so I must have imagined it, but in the Reach For The Skies video there was a clip of Huey cockpit and it looked much higher res than mine does. Mine looks awful!
  3. @Peter5on I think you missed the tone of his message. He didn't say that the gazelle flight model is better than those by ED. He said that it's better than the flight model of a decades-old game, and that in those days we couldn't even imagine a flight model as good as the ones in DCS.
  4. This all sounds great! I hope we get something like this one day.
  5. He isn't talking about the real trim system though. The real system holds the stick in position, off centre. He's talking about the DCS virtual trim that allows you to return your own stick to centre, because that's what 99% of home flight controls do.
  6. Nope. Fixed cannon.
  7. If you're using rudder trim, I think rudder would need to be centred too. If you are trying to centre it, then maybe the axis is twitchy around the centre and it isn't quite getting there. If it's registering even a slight input it will lock you out. That would explain why flapping the pedals around like a madman sometimes fixes it.
  8. You're looking at mouse slew there. I haven't actually flown the KA50 since switching to a throttle with an axis for it, but I think what you want is 'Absolute SHKVAL Horizontal/Vertical Slew'
  9. We can just hope that they're talking about Q2 of the calendar year, not the financial year.
  10. Damn. Ordered mine 3 days later and still nothing since the initial confirmation email. Thanks.
  11. How long did it take for your 200mm extension? I'm waiting on one of those at the moment. Edit: You mean the curved one, right? The others also make up 200mm, so that could mean either.
  12. Yes, the paddle lever is an actual axis. I haven't used the VFX, but the paddle on the T50 is perfect for Spit/Russian brakes.
  13. I really don't get it. Surely they can just send it as is, like they did when they came straight from Belarus. There isn't even anything for them to worry about. The taxes will be handled at customs.
  14. Thanks a lot for the translation and for clearing things up a bit.
  15. Especially as yesterday's newsletter specifically mentions carrying troops.
  16. If ED have reached this point without knowing any of this, we're really in trouble! Very interesting video though, thanks for posting.
  17. The long and short presses are in the simulation itself, they aren't bindings. For example you simply bind 'TMS left' to left on any hat, and the short and long presses work as they should.
  18. Putting the cockpit lighting in 'NVG' mode should do it.
  19. It's two different bases with interchangeable sticks. One base has a rotating throttle grip, the other doesn't. You can use either stick with it. So the simple answer is yes.
  20. Honestly, Virpil are all over the place with times. It could be quick or it could be a few months. Either way it will definitely be worth it.
  21. It seems you completely missed the point of his post. He wasn't complaining that it's two different aircraft. He was simply suggesting it as evidence that refuelling pods might not currently be possible in the game engine.
  22. They sell an adapter plate for 24.95€. https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-mongoost-50cm2-throttle-tmw-throttle-mounting-adapter.html
  23. As far as I'm aware they've never done any kind of upgrade kit. Sometimes they'll give a very slight discount to owners of an earlier model, but that's all.
  24. @imackenI'll take that CM2 off your hands when the time comes There's no need to wait. I'll tell you right now that it will be worth it!
  25. The topic at hand is you wanting to find a better head tracker than what you've been using. Quite a few people here have suggested the main one, TrackIR, which you apparently haven't even tried. If you don't want to hear what people have to say, just don't ask the question. EDIT: Your main point is that there shouldn't be any need to use a clunky PS3 camera. TrackIR has been out for a long time and doesn't use a clunky PS3 camera. And the reason they can't just use a built in webcam easily is that that type of head tracking uses infrared, not visible light. The ones that use visible light tracking just aren't accurate because it's much harder to track a flat human face than it is to track three bright points of IR light.
