I fly all the helicopters except the gazelle. I haven't changed the springs or any of the internals, and I don't use any curves in game. The helicopters are a joy to fly. I can't really explain how good it is, but the stick is so accurate and smooth. There's no centre notch so the stick moves smoothly left to right and front to back. But it still centres perfectly when you let go.

I've been using a first generation T-50 base without an extension for a couple of years now, which I'm fairly certain has the same deflection as the CM2. I upgraded from a CH stick and the difference is huge. Eventually I want to build a new desk and use the extension, but until then it really is amazing without. I also fly helicopters and jets. When I switched to Virpil I went from half being unable to aerial refuel to it being quite easy, basically overnight. Got it first try with the T-50. Do it!

just stop worrying about the scoreboard and enjoy flying! if you finish a flight and you've had fun and contributed, then it was a good flight. edit: while flying helicopters I've had lots of recognition from fixed wing pilots. that's much more rewarding than a number on a board.

number 11 says accumulator. I can't help much on the rest. I don't speak Russian, I can just roughly work out how to say the words and that one is the same.

VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle really has that bad buttons?
Sabre_Ewan replied to skywalker22's topic in VIRPIL Controls
The buttons on the stick are exactly the same as the buttons on the throttle, assuming you get one with 5 way hats. I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure they all have the 5 way hats these days. If you're going to have such a negative view of a product based on one person's opinion when everyone else is telling you it's great, you're never going to buy anything. -

Sabre_Ewan replied to skywalker22's topic in VIRPIL Controls
The 5 way hats don't feel as nice as old 4 way hats, they're a bit mushy. That's just a trade-off with having the extra press, and I think it's worth it. Other than that, the buttons are fine on my CM2 and they function perfectly. -
Yes, you'll be able to set the axis to buttons in the virpil software.

Is it the hardware or software?? Virpil's encoders.
Sabre_Ewan replied to RackMonkey's topic in VIRPIL Controls
The encoders on my CM2 throttle work fine on the default profile. -
Issue - L-39 Airspeed in Knots when avionics language set to english.
Sabre_Ewan replied to v81's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Because that setting normally only changes the units used on the map and spectator overlay. Game things. Every other module I've used still uses the correct units whether you choose imperial or metric. -
I'm a bit confused about the confusion. I'm using a Virpil T-50 base and stick with no extension*. I'm using the default trim option and it works perfectly, the same as the Huey and Mi-8. Press trim button and it trims to the current stick position. *standard joystick with centre return spring

Gun fire rate is in the bindings, although it's only a simple toggle rather than individual up/down. Which weapon selection rotary? The one in the rear cockpit works for me. I have it bound to a rotary encoder on my Virpil throttle.

The only other things I can think of are power and circuit breakers. Make sure all circuit breakers on the left and right side are on, and that all your power is set correctly. Generators, rectifiers, all that fun stuff.

The gunsight switch is on the armament panel (centre, behind the cyclic). I can't remember what it's called but I think it's in the top right quarter of the panel. It's a normal 2 way toggle switch, up is on if I remember correctly.

Redkite has already made this very good tutorial. In multiplayer with no seat switching, I guess it won't be possible to set them up.

Flat monitor, as opposed to VR.

Using A Number Pad To Enter Digits on F18 UFC?
Sabre_Ewan replied to melchionda's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The number pad can definitely be used for the UFC, though a recent update did reset some of the controls. If you bound the keys more than a month or two ago, you might need to rebind them. Pretty sure I just bound them in each individual plane and it automatically cleared the camera controls, but it's also possible that you'd need to go into general controls to make sure they aren't still bound in there. -
I agree with this 100%!

You didn't miss anything. They don't enforce any ideology. I don't know what he was talking about, but my guess is that the devs voiced an opinion on something.

The problem is that most of the supposed bits of news that are posted on Discord are usually from conversations in other channels. Devs responding to questions, and that kind of thing.

Need a favor, please. CM3 throttle.
Sabre_Ewan replied to pickafivestring's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I think it's more that the device ID can change, meaning games won't recognise your bindings and things will get reset. In your case, that doesn't really matter and it was definitely the right option. -
Can we please allow chocks to be removed with running engine?
Sabre_Ewan replied to iLOVEwindmills's topic in AV-8B N/A
I don't need to see a track, I believe you that it happened! I've just also had the opposite experience, so it clearly isn't 100% fixed. -

Sabre_Ewan replied to iLOVEwindmills's topic in AV-8B N/A
I flew a couple of days ago in open beta, and it definitely wasn't fixed/changed. Ground crew still ignored me and wouldn't remove chocks. -
Very nice. I want one!

That sounds like a semi reasonable price. But considering that their simple button boxes are 250 euros plus VAT, I'd be very surprised if it's anywhere near that cheap.

Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base issue w/ TM cougar grip

I'm glad you figured it out!
