  1. Now those are "effects" that DCS really needs.
  2. There isn't an offiicial one but you can take a look of current known bug list some of which are already fixed: And a feature list of features which will be available after release or to be specific, exiting early access: On release: Cargohold gunner with KORD machine gun Advanced "Petrovich" AI features for pilot or pilot-operator seats Addition of ATGM 9M120 (HEAT and HE versions) and R-60M air to air missiles Sling cargo operations Advanced damage modeling Additional liveries and livery template Full manual in Russian and English (full list of languages is TBD) Campaign by Eagle Dynamics I know it's very rough one but it at least gives some insight what we're getting on later.

When we will be able to change the hangar / scenery and airplane without using mods? I wanna put the hind there
  4. I mean Russian navy does use Mi-24s but they're not much different than ordinary Mi-24 aside having sticked Russian Navy flags on the tail (or on fuselage area between cargobay and cockpit, in the picture is a Mi-24VP of Russian Navy) but they definitely do not have folding rotors and tail. Also if I'm not wrong it is one of modules in DCS with highest number of possible flares/countermeasures ... I mean 196 pieces of flares and/or countermeasures is quite a number. At least it will get an side Kord gunner after exiting early access state.
  5. Yeah I also agree, for someone who'd for example, like to learn not only how to start up Mi-24 but also some Russian, definitely some markers/pointers especially for gauges are missing and I don't understand why since many modules have those
  6. The problem is the Russian govt., especially defense ministry will most likely say "Нет!" Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have additional variants of hinds too, but I think we can consider ourselves very lucky that we actually got the P version at all.
  7. Well, what else to say than "oof". Interesting story, I didn't know it, thanks for sharing.
  8. Double press on the mouse wheel - this will switch from between looking around and using switches in the cockpit. Also check the Axis assign submenu in the controls options and verify that axes are correctly assigned to the mouse axes movements.
  9. You've seen UPK-23 pods on non P variants such as Mi-24D, Mi-24V, various export variants and those had innacurate 12,7mm gattling cannon which was good for infantry suppression and against soft targets, maybe some armor - so for those variants UPK-23 pod was introduced. Since Mi-24P already has way more powerful and accurate 30 mm cannon it simply did not justify for Russians to use them in tie with 30mm cannon.
  10. WW2 prop technology is already wishlisted (I suppose ED has some internal wishlist of their own), so the technology may be used for helicopters rotors someday in the future too.
  11. Higher fuel consumption, very loud and distinctive sound when the APU is on, and can become quite annoying listening it after a while. APU is meant only for start up the engines (and stopping the engines for having power for some systems before completely shutting down the airplane which is pretty common on larger passenger/transport jets) and turning on critical systems that requile lots of power and engines don't generate enough RPM for the systems yet.
  12. These have english subtitles.
  13. Were you possibly flying into a strong wind? You're more prone to retreating blade stall in it at lower TAS speeds
  14. 35 is just an export marking of 24. Only thing which is digitatlized is that moving a la ABRIS style moving map but everything else seems pretty much same as our DCS: Mi-24P
  15. I don't want to be nagging, but I can't understand why it was moved from bugs & problems to a wishlist when it's to me it seems it is a function that doesn't work yet - and the pitot sensors should move regarding weather and speed of aircraft?
  16. Current and former operators of specificaly Mi-24P versions are (from my head) aside from the one which were already mentioned: Russia, Germany, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus, Uganda, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Armenia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Azerbaijan.
  17. I know it is not important at the moment, but currently animations on the pitot tube are nonexistent. As far as I know, Mi-24 shares almost same pitot tube with Ka-50 and MiG-21 or at least it is similiar. No matter how you fly it doesn't respond at all. Very easy to reproduce, screenshots of Mi-24 flying in reverse and sideways and Ka-50 flying sideways included.
  18. Between left panel and front instrument panel
  19. Although I do admit Mi-24 with IR suppressors looks more gnarly and menacey I think there must be a good reason why (beside weight, I think?) modern variants of hinds such as upgraded Mi-24's (f.e. Phoenix), export Mi-35M's, even Brazilian AH-2 Sabre (well some of AH-2's do have them but not most of them) don't even have them.
  20. Gunners, do you mean gunners in cargobay who'd shoot from the windows? No, we probably will not get them. But before or after exiting early access Mi-24 gets a gunner with Kord:
  21. As it was said in the interview: Q: Does he have a name, what language does he speak and will he tell jokes like Jester? A: He speaks Russian, he has a name, but I won’t reveal it yet. About jokes, when I hear on third party campaigns the others telling jokes all the time, to be honest that just doesn’t happen in real life. Maybe a joke or two, and that’s if you have to fly over an hour or on the way back. But when you’re 10 minutes away from the ingress point in a combat area, people get serious and stop talking nonsense. Maybe some people are different, but I remember in flights to the range your head is busy with mission details. Perhaps we might add something for the return leg, I don’t know. We’re working on English voiceovers too, and you’ll be able to add any language you’d like by changing the files. so .. yeah, maybe some small jokes after full release
  22. I think they already said that they're not thinking about implementing them ... yet
  23. Actually PrtScr does that ... It's first time I hear of that F12 makes screenshot - at least at standalone version, did you maybe confuse it with Steam version?
  24. Seems todays newsletter will feature Mi-24P.
  25. Don't expect HUD to be similar to the one on Ka-50 - it's for and only for aiming only. That's it. No artificial horizont, no speed/altitude/etc. information on it, just aiming reticules and that's it - same as on Su-25 so I don't expect to be a huge fuss turning it on.
